Satellite L300 - Microsoft Office ask again me for the product key

Hi I have a Satellite L300 and there Windows Vista. When I use Office at home thing he always asking me for a product key.

I put it in but he falis to recognize? Why? He says that I don't have 18 going to the left. I can no longer access the processor then? If its pre-installed but why it ask me the number?

In any case it took me forever to get herre to write this. Why cantToshiba have just a simple e-mail response to the queries of customers service! If you n t buy a version of desktop, you can t more use it.

    If your laptop has Windows 8 or higher, Microsoft codes the license on the hard drive rather than put a sticker on the base. Sounds like the repair people could have used a dubious copy to reinstall it on the new hard drive. Microsoft may allow you to report it as pirate software, but I'm not sure they'll give you a free copy. The other alternative is to contact ToshIba to buy a complete set of recovery disks, or take it back to the shop.

    I think that when you install XP and turn on the first time, Microsoft collects information from your system during this process to develop a signature of material that goes with your license and store it away.  Of course, they do not collect any personal information :)

    They do it so that if someone takes your XP installation license and tries to apply it to another computer (it is piracy) that the installation would not activate as your activation must match your hardware.

    If someone tried to install and activate your license on another machine with a different set of hardware, MS would say, wait a minute - this license has already been activated on another machine, and he could complain.  Then someone has some ' splaing to do.
