Schedule an automated process to reduce the size of PDF files
I am trying to find a way to automate a process which would take place every night at a certain time. PDF files is saved by my colleagues in a certain folder for printing purposes. My job is to take these files and reduce their consumption of the web size. Currently, I have to do it manually, which is a bit of a problem because these files come very late in the night.
The optimal goal would put in place a process that allow to monitor a folder and automatically save any PDF placed in said file in a file size reduced. Using the Action Wizard in Acrobat XI, I can't find a way to set up to run automatically.
If anyone has any information on how to accomplish this task, I would be extremely grateful.
You may not (and are not allowed to) use Acrobat in this way. You will need to
looking for a lot more robust application of treatment.

You can not. You need Acrobat for this kind of task.

Reduce the size of a file created by "write to waveform.
Hello
I'm using labview in 2012 and I have a problem with the size of the tdms file generated by the function "write to waveform. The data is real time 16 channels in a series of X NI USB-6343 and is composed by the gains of the voltage on the y-axis with the absolute time on the x axis (waveform format). The size of the file is reached a Go command within a few hours. Is it possible to reduce the size of this file? All configurations on the component?
Thanks for the help.
Best regards
Marcelo Nobre
Yes indeed, there is a better way. Instead of using writing on file express VI measure, try adding the DAQmx logging into your task DAQmx (before starting the task):
This method writes the raw binary data unadjusted to the file (2 bytes per sample because it is a 16-bit data acquisition card) with scaling of information in the header of the file. In the example you posted, you write the data which are already put across to the file (double 8 bytes for example). What will make this change you expect to reduce your file size by ~ 4 x.
If you wish you can compress the files once you have finished writing to them for further reduction of size, but there is no support to achieve so that you are currently writing in the PDM file. In addition, you will need to unzip the file until you can access the data in the .tdms file. You can probably get good results with something as simple as the data stored in a .zip file.

How can I reduce the size of a file less than 3 MB adobe?
Acrobat Pro can do. However, the rate of reduction depends largely on the content of the PDF file.
I suggest that you install the trial version of https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/acrobat-downloads.html

Hello
I would like to reduce the size of SWFs for easy download. Is there a way I can reduce the size of swf files
You can reduce the size of swf files by optimizing the content you put in or keeping the content as external resources that load you dynamically, such as image, sound and video. For images that you import into the library, you should reduce them to the size they will be used in the file as well as them through optimization advanced such as one that provides Photoshop (except for the Web).

Batch processing to reduce the size of the file
I have a 1 terabyte of PDF files created by others.
Apparently, they did not use Adobe products. I have to reduce the size of the file.
If I open these files and then save to the format PDF. I can then use menu file size reduction to reduce the file size to about 1/4.
However, I have 44 000 files.
most multi-page
No matter what welcome toughts.
You could try the batch process in Acrobat. You're asking a lot, but it could be something that that can handle the batch of Acrobat.

How can I reduce the size of a file of numbers?
I have a file that is too big to 650 MB. It is mostly text. I found 1 sheet which is "inflated". I tried to copy/paste the columns in a new file, but it ends with lines and additional columns that I copied! It seems to me that if I could have something in layers? How can I reduce the size of the file.
If it's really just the text that seems really strange. I repeat what you have already done, copy items to a tim in a new file, and then save after each copy and monitor the size of files. When you see the file size jump exceptionally fast, do NOT save the new file, and focus on the issue. What are the benefits? You paste images into a table as a background fill?
If you did and you want photos, try to reduce the size of the file by using the menu item "file > advanced > reduce file size...» » :

My files open to 176% zoom, is there any setting to reduce the size, so I do not reduce to 100% every time?
If you are the author of the files, then you have the option to set the tab view initial magnification settings in the properties of the Document.

How to reduce the size of a file Adobe Edge animate?
I'm trying to get the zipped file size up to 150 kb or less, and the closest I can get is 439 kb. I tried the following until now:
- delete unnecessary files before publishing
- toggled active .png for lower quality .jpg assets where I can
- published using the "Host on Adobe CDN runtime files" - I read that it can reduce the size of the file of 80%
I'm pretty new to the software, and there is certainly a chance that I do not have something good. You can view the file here if you are interested in taking a look. If anyone has any suggestions, I would appreciate your insight!
Thank you
Cassie
Yes, I did! First of all that I have lived and made sure I had my images at the smallest possible file size. Then, after the publication in the destination folder, I went in the 'images' folder and deleted the file "thumbs.db" Edge is automatically created. Makes a HUGE difference in the size of the file! Hope that works for you too!

Why not use an OVA which is an archive files of the FVO and then use gzip or ZIP to compress more?

Please suggest me how to solve this problem... There's fragmentation the culprit who don't let not releasing me a space?
-Sahathe tablespace is fragmented maybe you defragment to free up space. There are several features to do more or less effective.
-change the movement of the table / index
exp/imp
-reduce the space
-dbms_redefinition
-DECeach technology has advantages and disadvantages...
I suggest starting by shrink space, but do not start with larger items...HTH

Hello
We have a pdf form, which has almost doubled in size (from 867 051 B to 1 337 351) when I just open it with the Designer (tested on 8.2 and 9.0) and save it again without modification under different name.
You have an idea, which could be a problem?
The original pdf was created by Designer 9.0
I'm saving a dynamic XML form, the original pdf should be also dynamic XML form ([form properties-> compatibility-> form Type] says "Dynamic XML form").
I unfortunately can't post pdf publicly.
Thanks for any advice.
Hello
Open the PDF file in the designer. Go to file > properties > Save Options and uncheck all the boxes, save and close. That will reduce the size of the file. Embed fonts and tags cause the PDF to be so great. Unfortunately you can not change this once so that it can be done on all forms of your future, you need to do whenever you save a new PDF.

How to reduce the size of Indesign documents PDF export?
I wonder if there is a way for Indesign reduce the size of page of a multiple page document?
I have a 38 page book that has a page size of 9 "x 8"... so the spread size is 9 "x 16".
I want this in order to reduce the size of the exported PDF file.
So if there is a way to reduce the size of PDF, that would work too.
I looked everywhere but could not find a function that allows you to reformat and save this document to a 50 percent reduction, for example.
Is there such a feature with Indesign on CS1? (or one of the more recent versions CS?)
Currently the smallest PDF I can export this document is 8 MB. (it contains a lot of graphics)
I want to get that figure up to 3 MB or more.
I have the dpi all reduced to 72 dpi... which has helped to reduce the PDF of the original 58 MB.
But how is it possible to make it even smaller for emailing?
Thanks for your suggestions.
And in the process you'll find yourself with a flattened PDF. If you send to a client for proofing, be prepared to explain that these ugly white lines in all directions does not print it. And when they print to a desktop printer and print some lines, you'll have a problem of real credibility on your hands.
Just a warning.

How to crop images and reduce the size of an image using illustrator?
Hi friends...
Could you please help us by answering the question above or that other family of software tools Adobe will help us in this regard.
Thank you and best regards,
To crop an image (by that word people usually mean a bitmaped image these s a photograph) is best done in photoshop, if you want to reduce the size of your file.
Illustrator has hide the ability to crop an image, but that will not reduce the size of your file everything.
If your main goal is to reduce the size of the file
- Make sure you link do not embed an image
- File > Save As > and turn off compatible pdf as which increases significantly the size of your files. You only need pdf compatible, if you plan to place it in InDesign or After Effects.
