Scope of the Globals file

Using file globals to pass data to another sequence, is it necessary that called sequence must be a sous-suite of the call sequence. In other words, if I call a sequence file that is not a subsequence in my call sequence called sequence will be able to access the globals file of the call sequence?

Hello

FileGlobals are in the scope of any order in the same file in sequence.

for example

Sequence A and B of the sequence contained in SequenceFile SF1, who has a FileGlobals FG will be increased to two sequences.

While

Sequence has contained in SequenceFile SF1 his ' FileGlobals will not be credited to the sequence B contained in SequenceFile SF2.

Hope this is clear

    Once the two are off I don't think there's a way to be able to do it without having to do it programmatically. See here: How can I programmatically show or hide scrollbars on the front panel?

    The example given in this link does it only for the VI himself. If you want to do the operation on an another VI you must open a reference to VI/global. See attachment.

  • The Globals and Globals station brought in the sequential model of the file

    Hello

    I create sample files to illustrate the use of the station globals and globals using TestStand 4.2, model batch file.  I was assuming that station overall value would be persistent to the station and file global values are persisted to the file (as long as the file is not deleted, the value will remain).  But, after the executions of couple, I found that I'm wrong.

    He's looking to me that globals file, the value reset for each new execution.  I would like to ask if this is a correct behavior?  If it is correct, I can say that: because each run contains the new instance of the file, so at the beginning again, new copy of the globals file are created.  (I'm borrowing the idea of the model of batch execution logic, but for my example, I use only the sequential model).

    In addition to reading the other posts, for globals station, value is not persistent until a file Save command issued manually.  How to deliver this command?  And, is there a similar command for globals file?

    Thank you.

    Peggy

    Hello

    When teststand is closed the StationGlobals file is updated automatically, you don't have to do anything.

    For FileGlobals, there is a static version, that you create at the time of editing, and there is a version of the runtime. When you change the values during execution, these are not kept when execution is completed. So if you want to maintain values of execution you will also change the static values and also save the file in the sequence.

    There are examples in this forum to do just that.

    Hope this helps

    Hi all

    It is possible to switch between mode 'file separate globals' to 'share the same globals file mode' during the test run.

    Or there is another option to use variables separated and shared at the same time for 2 parallel Sockets (ParallelModel.seq).

  • Need a few more details on the Options field, scope of the attribute, 'Global' vs 'form' when defining tags

    OK, I admit I am confused... I solved my problem but I do not understand the solution.

    I have a form that has a header that is reported as"overflow" and NO overflow and the multiplier of overflow is set to 0.  The trigger is manual and use a search mask counter instance flag and 0.  The header is repeated at the top of each page, everything as I want it, but the header tags (IE POLITICAL. NUMBER) are printed on the first occurrence of the header section and the second and the following tags is white/not filled.

    If I change the section that is used for the header and define the scope of the POLICY. Tag NUMBER 'form', it works correctly and prints the value of POLICY. NUMBER on each occurrence of the header.  If I set the scope of the POLICY. Tag NUMBER on 'GLOBAL' of POLITICS. Tag NUMBER is entered on the first occurrence (page 1) and white on all events (page 2, 3...) It makes no sense for me?

    My POLICY. NUMBER tag on the section uses the XDB, multiplier of overflow rule is set to 0 and overflow is the default.

    Can someone explain to me how it works?  The impression that the GLOBAL setting should fill all occurrences of the tag POLICY. NUMBER of all forms together.  Would have been logical for me if I changed it the chapter to the FORM but not global to FORM.

    Thanks in advance for helping me understand how it works!

    Documentation... I'd be surprised if this is not documented somewhere. It is perhaps not as important as it should be. As a guess, I would first look at the description of the PaginateAndPropagate rule or any place that talks about the paging / batch (Gendata) execution of overflow. If it is not described as a note somewhere in the DMStudio of the field properties, then it is a logical place where is should be. The problem is that this behavior is different in the lots it is for data entry where the global spread is managed dynamically, so it is noteworthy.

    The 1 application that actually uses the VFS has several functions. Which essentially writes the CFM files includes the MTC as a contained variable and returns the variable.

    Under CF9 we also remove disk ram CFM files after their inclusion. But under CF11 it fails with an error indicating that the modification date is not found. I removed from the part of the file delete and the system works but we get this error of memory with the VFS.

    Can someone shed some light on this for me?

    It's not since.

    Thank you

    I'm sorry to tell someone else that my find this question, I could not solve it.

    Thanks for all your great suggestions and help in the BK.

    We are just past the entire system to the hard drive. This will eventually hurt us in the end, but at this point we don't have an option, our system has been down since the day wherever we improved to CF11. We did a lot of testing before the migration of load and our tests, it worked. But there were many problems with the IIS connectors and we also installed new memory. There has been a lot of things and it is difficult to find the exact cause.

    However, the error should always be reported as a bug. It gives a wrong idea, which is actually the issue and this will lead to someone else in the future in a ghost rabbit hole that does not exist.

    Thank you

  • What is "code in the global scope"?

    In Adobe Scout, when you view the Actionscipt Panel, I see that a lot of time spent 'code execution in the context '. Can someone please help me understand exactly what kind of code is would be "code in the global scope"?

    "Code in the global context" refers to the execution of static initialisers. Basically, this occurs the first time that a class is used, so you can see that nested within a call stack - you called a function that uses the X class for the first time, she first run any static initialisers for class X before continuing your code. This includes the code in a static block and the initialization of the static member variables.

    Of course, the name is somewhat confusing: we need to improve it!

  • When updating the password file database

    In our infrastructure, we have several databases (all 11 GR 2 on Linux) who have access to the same password file.

    If the password of a user stored in the password file is changed in a database, this user password is changed in all databases that use this password file.

    If I query the view of sys.user$, I can see when a user has changed, but only for this database and need to check each database to see if the password has been changed for this database. Is it possible to see which update this file to shared password without connecting to each individual database database?

    Thank you!

    Hi Garrett.

    You have active audit? Also, if you have defined AUDIT_SYS_OPERATIONS to true, you should have some information placed in the $ aud. As Joel Suggested, check the timestamp of the change in the password file.

    I think that if you enabled audit_sys_operations, you would also have records written to audit trail operating systems $ORACLE_HOME/rdbms/audit.

    On another note, according to the literature and my test, if the REMOTE_LOGIN_PASSWORDFILE = SHARED, then you could not change the password for the SYS or other users with SYSDBA privilege.

  • Move the data files on the standby server without moving primary Oracle 11 g r2

    Hi all

    Oracle 11g 2 with EBS 11.5.0.2 version.

    The size of one of the mounting points on the standby is full and I'm going through one of the data files to another mount point without making any changes to the primary level.

    I tried Google and came across this link:
    http://oraclesea.blogspot.in/2011/12/move-datafiles-on-standby-server.html
    But it did not work... I had to start the database with the spfile to work.

    The steps mentioned in the blog:
    Include below parameter in standby parameter file
    DB_FILE_NAME_CONVERT = '/primary_location/xyz.dbf','/standby_location/xyz.dbf'
    ALTER DATABASE RECOVER MANAGED STANDBY DATABASE cancel;
    shut immediate
    startup nomount pfile=initSCSL.ora
    alter database mount standby database ;
    alter system set standby_file_management='MANUAL' SCOPE=MEMORY ;
    ! cp /primary_location/xyz.dbf'  /standby_location/xyz.dbf
    alter database rename file  '/primary_location/xyz.dbf' to '/standby_location/xyz.dbf';
    alter system set standby_file_management='AUTO' SCOPE=MEMORY ;
    alter database recover managed standby database parallel 4 disconnect from session;
    Can you please help me with the right steps...

    2 copy the file that you want to move to the different mount point using the OS commands.
    3. Mount the standby database.
    4 rename the data through database level. Make sure that the standby_file_management is set to MANUAL

    Create a new profile as a test to see if your profile is the source of the problems.

    See "create a profile":

    If the new profile works then you can transfer files from a profile in the new profile, but be careful not to copy files corrupted to avoid transporting on the problem.

  • When I run the exe file, it should load the niscope_32.dll why?

    Hello:

    I used scope in my program functions,

    and then I did it in the exe file and the installation file,

    but when I make them to another computer,

    To load the niscope_32.dll, what should I do?

    Hi ylongwu,

    You will need to install the driver OR-Scope on the deployment computer so that the code you can call the driver. You can download the driver from our Web site at drivers and updates the link below by searching our driver OR-Scope and choosing the appropriate version. I also recommend that you include the NOR-Scope driver as an extra Installer for your executable. In the setup of window construction there is a category called additional installers where you can choose the drivers and execution engines to install with your executable file. I've included a screenshot to show what it will look like for LabVIEW 8.x.

  • batch template globals file

    Hello!

    I created a sequence that works for a batch process model that I work on. Batch processing is great and timing factors working as expected, but there is one thing. I have a LabView vi that reads an ini file, displays the "recipe" for the user, allowing them to change the values and then their output to TestStand I send these values to the global variables of various files. The problem is that some update and other that are used in the sub sequences are not updated. If run the sequence without the LabView VI and manually enter variables in TestStand sequence works as it should, but if I run the VI to update the sequence is UUT0 runs the sequcence correctly.

    It's as if copies of the sequence do not accept all the changes only the UUT0, but if I manually insert the variables via the dev environment TestStand that they all work properly.

    Y at - it an update, I have to call to reload the values after I change them?

    I can't use a charger of property because I need it to be dynamic, with a lot of different recipes to test parts. Unless I can find a way to allow the user to choose the file loader to use dynamically

  • on the use of the global task

    Hello

    I've been using labview 7 for a long time and I haven't used task. Recently, I've introduced to CVI and I have created all the need for tasks at the launch of the application and reuse tasks before the end of the application. Last week, I received a copy of labview 2013 and I am porting the old code labview for 2013. However, I ran into a problem. Different compiled C code, this code vi must be run each time when necessary, if I create the task on the fly in the vi, it is quite heavy. I would like to create the global tasks so it could be used anywhere, anytime. The example contained in the regulations says that I could create these tasks in MAX. So my question is to use the task only did I specify the name of the task (created in MAX) as the IO channel to use?

    Furthermore, if I create a global task, do I have to delete the task at the end of the application? If I delete the task, global task disappears from the MAX or not?

    Finally, I wonder if it is possible for more than one vi using the same task in different times? For example, I created a global task for the analog output. I run two vi, A and B. A, he use the task to an analogue voltage output while B is something else. After that was done, B uses the same task for another exit. They come in conflict somewhat? What happens if both A and B call the same task at the same time?

    Thanks for the clarification. So it doesn't work if I create two tasks the two links on the same channel and I call these two tasks at the same time, right?

    Time to dig the DAQmx help file and check in the DAQmx state transition table.

    Any number of tasks can be created (any reasonable number).

    If all this stuff is sane the task can be verified (if he calls nonexistent DAQmx hardware raises an error and the task cannot be verified)

    If all resources are available (clocks, roads, channels) can be "reserved" (committed) if something else has booked all the resources the task cannot be initiated and DAQmx generates an error.

    In order to have multiple tasks that use the same chanel is perfectly fine, BUT only one can be in one State other than "Verified" use control Task.vi to explicitly states the task of transition.
