• Missing photos since the update

  I've updated to Sierra yesterday. After which, I went back to edit the new pics I just took, who had already been downloaded before update. When I opened the Photos to do it, I noticed that at least 80% of my photos was vignettes with a gray triangle and an exclamation point. Once clicked on, some of these pictures would be present. However, the sticker remained as this triangle when I'm back in the folder. I tried to repair library (opening ⌘⌥) but that didn't work. I will add that I have not used iPhoto since the last update, so I don't think that this has nothing to do with this, as several of these photos have been imported directly from the picture source.

  Can anyone help? I make sure I have access to these photos.

  what you put in? Did you recently do any cleaning disc or run any cleanup as CleanMyMac software?

  If you rotatate one and then turn it back - what is fix? You can export to one of these pictures (menu, file == > export)?

• Photo stream not updated

  My photo stream on my iPhone is fine. But on my Mac, it has not updated for some time. When I go to System Preferences > iCloud the area of the photo is not checked, same process on my iPhone it is. When I try to check on my Mac it say 'check library' and then do nothing. I tried to fix my photo library was well and no luck.

  Welcome to the communities of Apple Support!  From what I understand your post, you have activated my photo stream to your iPhone, but you have a problem, allowing it on your Mac.  Of course, I know how it is great to have your photos of streams available on all your devices, and I'd be happy to help you.

  There is another way to turn on my photo stream, then try these steps instead:

  1. Open the Photos on your Mac application
  2. Click on the 'Photos' (top left corner, by the  menu)
  3. Click on "Préférences."... »
  4. Go to the iCloud tab (sign in with the same ID Apple you use on your iPhone If you are prompted)
  5. Place a check next to 'My Photo Stream'

  It may or may not help but you need to update to OS X 10.11.4 and Photos 1.5 because it has some bug fixes

• How do I search for files in Photo Apple app on Mac mov

  Once I downloaded pictures and videos from my iPhone to my Mac, I want to find videos (.mov files).

  I have download in various albums dependent, then the search box to find a .mov.

  However, I do not get the results that I expect - I get files .mov, but not all, and I can't work the criteria for those is presented.

  If I want to search for .mov files in a specific album, how the files .mov in this album rather than my entire library?

  Try a smart album with the constraints "matches all of the following conditions.

  • Photo is video
  • Album is an album

  If you do not find all the videos, videos "MOV", includes "filename includes MOV.

  If you mean the one where Safari click the links blocks, there is currently no solution. There are several suggested workaround solutions, but not yet final solution.

  The best choice at this point, is to use another browser.   Google Chrome you will open links in new tabs by pressing them, but does not directly open on the same tab.

  The Opera browser application seems completely non-affected and my experience was able to open all the links properly.

• Could not open the new photos app after update

  I just updated my MacBook Pro (late 2011) from Yosemite to El Capitan, I am now unable to open the Photos app. I don't have iPhoto as he took in the update.   I just got El Capitan 10.11.3 updated, and after, I got the following surprises:

  Now, if I click the address window of Safari on the top, where I used to write URLS or keywords for Google Search, nothing changes, and I can't write anything.

  I went to the Safari preference, "Search" TAB and everything is correctly selected.

  I can temporarily solve the problem to deselect everything, close, and reopen SAFARI.

  I just installed the update as well and I have similar problems:

  • typing in a search string in the field address and press on enter does nothing
  • Open a new tab with command + T also does nothing
  • during the typing of this response, I pressed command-T, my deleted window and the URL in the address window appear to overlap

  The only thing I can do is to restart the browser. Then I have the chance to see the empty tabs (for the amount of time I pressed command-T).

  The search box is not available if you have an enlarged photo. Close the enlarged photo and return to the thumbnail view.

  If this is not the problem, exit and restart restart Photos.

  The Photos app on my MacBook Pro (retina, 15 inches, end 2013) does not update for my photos from my iPhone stream 6, nor my iPad Air2, even if both devices will flow between them.  I rebooted all devices many times.

  Have you checked the number of Photos and videos in each library to see if it's the same or not?  In the picture library, open the window all Photos and check the number of items displayed in the upper right.
