Search iPod on iTunes

Yesterday, I downloaded the new version of iTunes (12.4.1.6). I'm making a selection with the songs that are currently on my iPod. Unfortunately, I don't keep the songs in my library after that I have sync my iPod. On earlier versions of iTunes, I was able to search for songs on my iPod, using the search bar on top, but when I do it now, it brings nothing to the top.

I use Windows 10 and I have an iPod classic.

Thank you

Anyone?

Or could someone tell me if I can restore iTunes to an earlier version.

  • Can't remove my iPod in itunes podcasts

I download Radio 4 podcasts for my ipod Nano.  The part of the subscription will easily and podcasts download without problems.  But when I want to delete a podcast because I have already heard, it remains on the ipod or downloads again the next time I connect the ipod to iTunes.

I change to delete 'manual' on the summary page and then I go to Podcasts on my ipod page.  I click the program, and then make a right click to click on the button Delete.   The program then is more present on the iTunes page, but is often always here on ipod or it downloads the next time I connect.

I see a lot of other people have the same problem, but when I clicked on them, nothing came.

Why not use the built in options to automatically include a limited selection articles unplayed will then remove themselves automatically during the next synchronization if they played?

  • Can not remove the iPod with itunes Podcast

It seems that I can delete is no longer my ipod via itunes podcast less 12.4. I have a 3rd gen ipod (no, I'm not buying a version more recent one it still works fine) I have manually manage my music and podcast on. Before I could just put all my podcast in a playlist "podcast" and once I am done listening to them I could + option + delete them both the playlist and my ipod. Now when I do that, they only deletes the list of reading (it's not free all the space on the ipod just do 'orphans' podcast on it). Anyone have any ideas?

What happens when you manually delete the podcast episode of list of Podcasts from iPod (instead of the playlist)?  This response is for the original poster mikonic26.

  • Mini Ipod and itunes

Hello I recently helped someone with his powerbook from 2006.

He has a small ipod and wants to get music on this subject. He's already got a lot, but when you plug in the ipod it looks like a USB key with nothing in it except 4 songs, it moves from itunes.

ITunes opens directly when pluggin the ipod, but there is no music library, one inside, that the ipod does not appear and look like empty

Someone has an idea of what goes wrong?

    Thank you

It looks like a USB key with nothing in it except 4 songs, it moves from itunes.

If you can see songs on iPod using Finderrecords, music files are just "random" files that have been manually added to the iPod in disk mode.  The iPod software does not treat them as songs.

Songs are loaded onto the iPod using iTunes.  What version of iTunes it works?  It says 'Mac OS X (10.7.5)' in your profile information, but maybe it's not HIS version, because a PowerBook can only run 10.5.8 (at the latest), unless it's a mistake, it's actually a MacBook (Intel processor).  In both cases, this could mean that the iTunes version is not the latest version 12.x, which is a little different from earlier versions.

I can provide more details, once you confirm the version of iTunes, but to summarize, the first step is to add songs to iTunes library.  Once the songs he wants on the iPod in the Mac iTunes library, it can load songs manually by dragging songs from the iTunes music library to the iPod (as it appears in iTunes).  OR, it can set up Auto Sync to iTunes keep the iPod "in phase" with the Mac iTunes music library (or a selected part of it).

  • How can I manually add songs on my Ipod via Itunes and keep my apple music songs too?

    Hello

I am a music producer and I had trouble manual addition of my songs on my Ipod. I looked everywhere online for an answer and I can't find one. When I try to drag and drop my songs on my IPod in Itunes it gives me the image on my mouse in saying he will add it, but it doesn't do anything when I drop.

Several online forums supposed to go into the settings of my Ipod and check "Icloud Music Library". but I have an account of appple music and don't want to lose my music, I downloaded there, which is what tells me my Ipod is going to happen.

I am looking for a way to have my Apple music and manually add music on my Ipod even.

    Thank you

    Caleb

If you enable the Apple music on any content already on device can be merged with your Apple's music library. To add more songs to the device, add them to your library, and then download them to the device. You may not transfer directly from iTunes, but you should still be able to add one of your songs.

  • Used to synchronize iPod to itunes

My computer will not sync my Ipod to ITunes.

Sync with iTunes is usually on one way, from iTunes to iPod library, not "iPod to iTunes.  Can clarify you what your question?  You ask about how to transfer data on the iPod to computer?  Or you ask about setting up automatic iTunes library to iPod synchronization?

  • Looking for iPod in iTunes 12?

Hello, I need to know why ITunes 12 will NOT search for what's on the iPod?

The ipod is plugged in and ITunes sees it, but when I go to the research I can find in my library or the Itunes store, but not what's inside my ipod?

I don't want to copy my entire iPod into my mac library!

Probably not designed to search for an iPod or other connected device.

And your iTunes library must be complete.  iPods can easily get lost, or break or the corruption of data requiring a restore.  You take a risk in having songs on iPod not saved.  If everything in your iTunes library and you lose or break your iPod, you can get another iPod (or other device) and take a few minutes to set up the synchronization again.

And once your iTunes library, you should back up data from the iTunes library on your computer (with the rest of your user data), to protect against failure of the computer or of its reader.  A Mac has a built-in feature called Time Machine that accomplishes this task for you automatically (once it is configured).

  • Why can't copy files to my iPod from iTunes

I have not the slightest idea of what is happening.

I used an iPod Touch for years (I now have a 5th generation Touch running IOS 9.3.5).)  But this week when I tried to copy a file (mp3, unprotected file, a record of a sermon) from iTunes on my iTouch, I got this message: "Some of the files have been copied not in the iPod"IPod touch guys"because iCloud music library is activated on the iPod."

Then I tried to copy other files to my iTouch - some of them I bought music from the iTunes sotre files - and I got the same message.  Apparently, I can't move my app on my iTouch iTunes files.

The only different thing I do now is I'm trying the Apple music, but I have not changed the settings on my iTouch.  How can I solve this problem?

    Hello

You cannot manually manage your music when you use the music library of music to Apple /iCloud. When you subscribe to apple music, iTunes you library is analyzed to determine what can be matched or must be downloaded. This will make you the music available on your iOS devices to listen to or download.

    This MP3 has been downloaded?

  • How to control the content of the ipod in itunes 12.5.1.21?

After the upgrade to itunes on my pc 12.5.1.21 the old 'device' icon near the toolbar is inactive (grayed out). I can see my devices in the left pane and I can see the contents of my ipod nano but I can't find where I can specify what to synchronize on the device and what do not synchronize the control settings.  Where do you do that?

Arghh - just had to turn it back on, now it is accessible.

  • Cannot find the songs that are on my ipod on itunes

I see them on my ipod and I can play them, but when I sync it with itunes I can't find certain songs in my music library.  I deleted them at some point because I'm trying to get them OFF my ipod, but after that I removed the iTunes and sync my ipod they songs always stayed on my ipod.

Copy of sync from the computer to the device, it is not copy content off the coast. If they're iTunes purchases, you should be able to copy their return via file > devices > transfer purchases

Being able to synchronize or update your iPod nano is very useful, I can see how this is a problem. I'll be more than happy to help.

If iTunes does not your iOS device - follow the steps in this article to download iTunes and your iPod nano working together again.

    Hi iTunes,.

I tried looking for "for you" and "for you coldplay", but none of these research gave me the correct result. Manually, I had to go through all the albums from Coldplay to find the song.

The song is in the album "shiver", and the song "For You" is funny enough appear when searching for "shiver".

Please update the search algorithm, iTunes, so that we find what we are looking for...

  • Problems to connect the Ipod to Itunes after update 12.4.6.1

    Hello people,

I just installed the new update iTunes (Version 12.4.6.1 for 64-bit Windows), once more a new provision which made it very confusing. I just tried to connect my iPod Touch (old enough) to sync my new music but the device does not appear on iTunes anywhere. I use the same yarn I used two days ago and it worked fine and has done for over a year as I tried a different lead but still no joy. The device is recognized by my PC as it starts to load connected as well as it appears in the folder 'My computer' which has an icon indicating 'Device Apple'. Any ideas on how to work?

    Thank you very much

  • IPod and itunes external drive

My itunes music is stored on an external drive, but when I open itunes I get a list of files to "MyMachine" which is a lot less the 'account' my external drive - I think that somewhere there must be an old file pointing to MyComputer?

I removed itunes and reinstalled but it has not solved the problem

This causes a problem when I try to sync my Ipod because for some reason I can't synchronize with the external hard drive

Anyone else had this problem, or even better a solution?

    Thank you very much
