Section of Presets missing in the develop module

OSX 10.7.4 LR 4.1

In the develop module, my presets section is missing.

Don't miss presets.

The entire section is missing.

The order of things is:

Navigator

Snapshots

History

Collections

Maybe someone can help, or has experienced this and has a solution to recover this section?

  • All panels are missing in the develop module

Can someone help me.  I've been using lightroom for a while.  So today for some reason, not only has disappeared from my base Panel but also any other Panel under the module development disappeared so I can't even right click on say, the "tone curve" or the "Correction of the objective '' to bring back the base Panel because each Panel is missing.  Can someone help me?  I uninstalled lightroom and reinstalled but still nothing.  I have no idea how to solve this problem.

Develop, press Ctrl + 1 (Cmd + 1 on Mac) to the base Panel. Then right-click (Ctrl + click) to select others.

    Or use the window menu.

  • Basic Settings tab is missing from the develop module

I recently purchased lightroom 4 after using the free trial of 30 days, and I have no basic settings on my mac, can't find them anywhere? My tabs go to color curve histogram. Where are they?

    Very confused...

No need to be confused, you have probably inadvertently it hidden. The thing is that in each Module, all the individual panels in each of the left and right columns can be eventually displayed or hidden under the control of the user (there are a few minor exceptions such as the browser, but overall, this control is available throughtout Lightroom).

So to view the options for each column (in your case, expand the column to the right of the Module), simply right click (ctrl-click on Mac) on ONE of the headers that are displayed in this column, and you will see a menu of local context as the attached screenshot. Here you can see that I previously hid the base Panel, so all I have to do is click on the baseline and it is restored. Conversely, I can use this method to hide a Panel.

  • Optical correction completely disappeared from the develop Module function

The lens correction feature brought missing in the develop Module.  He was missing until I upgraded to 5.6 and is still missing.  Previously, he was present, so I wonder if I did something to hide or remove?

Right-click on one of the other titles, such as base etc, tone curve. Make sure that there is a check mark in the lens corrections. This is the way you control which develop features that you want to display on your system. Sometimes the features disappear mysteriously.

  • The 'Base' option in the develop module is more included in the list of options. Can't seem to find a way to get him back. Help?

I can't find what happened to the basic option in the develop module. Individual edition toolbar (for example, crops) are there, but the basic title is missing. Any suggestions?

    Hi trogg,.

Please click on window > panels > base.

You should be able to see the base Panel.

  • LR download RAW folder backup against opening a file in the develop module? Can I use the same folder?

    IM thoroughly; is confused.

Starting from a camera card, I import RAW images or "copy as DNG" in LR.

I create an original backup for security reasons.

    Then, what's next?

I go back and 'Add' of these original files in LR, see them in the develop module?

How to create a file of edited images?

    Thanks for your help!

DNG files and the record, in that they must be visible in the library module and module development. If they are the last images you imported you want to see in the section "previous import." You would work on DNG files. The backup of the original raw files is for archival purposes in case you lose your DNG files at some point in the future and need to replace.

  • WEIRD! Can't see the settings I do them in the develop module, but they THEMSELVES... what gives?

I use LR 5.7 completely up to date. All image previews are displayed in the library module, and when I move to the develop module, the selected image is displayed in the Central (to the magnifying glass) window as expected. BUT if I make any adjustments - that you use the presets or simply tweak individual sliders - the image disappears instantly and the central window becomes gray. Unknown yet, the adjustments ARE made and are listed in the history tab, and if I switch back to the library module, the adjustments are reflected in the preview. Of course, I should be able to see real-time adjustments I do them in the develop module, as I always have before.

Anyone know why this is happening?

After some research, I found the answer. It was a bad monitor profile. I had not updated my software to calibrate colors in a certain time. Created a new monitor profile and... Presto, problem solved!

  • I'm looking on the Lightroom API for ways of working with photos in the develop module, how is it taken in charge?

I tried to apply an iOS or jump motion to change the photos in the develop module, but I don't see how we could adjust the white slider shows balance or a single button for crops instead.  Is there a way to do what I'm missing?

If you still encounter this problem, please try the following troubleshooting steps.

Solution 1: Sign out of Lightroom 5.5 and then connect back with your Adobe this identification code will activate the subscription again because you see that it is show as a trial.

    Solution 2:

Set the permission to the folder SLStore & SLCache:

NOTE: Do this twice, once each for the SLCache and SLStore files.

    Mac:

    • Use the Finder to navigate to/Library/Application Support / Adobe / SLStore or/Library/Application Support / Adobe / SLStore.
    • Control-click on the folder and choose read information.

    Win 64 bit: Program Files (x 86) \Common Files\Adobe\SLCache\

    • In the file Explorer, right click on the SLCache or SLStore folder, and then select Properties.
    • Click the Security tab and set the permissions:

    Administrators: Full control

Power users: all except extraordinary and a total control

  • LR5 buttons in the develop module

I just started to use the LR5 and the book that I use to learn watch sliders in the section of the White Balance, but I have buttons with no information about the temperature.  How to change this configuration?

It sounds like you are not actually in the develop Module, but rather in the quick develop Panel in the library module. If so, put yourself in the develop Module and open the base on the right side panel, and there you will see the sliders of WB.

  • How can I get the base Panel in the develop module to reappear in Lightroom 5?

Hello! I just change a photo in Lightroom 5 the other day and I thought I hit something, but all of a sudden, the base Panel was missing. I went online to see how I can solve this problem and what has been proposed was to click with the right button on one of the panels and there should be an option says that base, in order to retrieve the base Panel. That's what I did, but what he does is just opens and closes the panels. I don't know how to recover my base Panel, I hope I can get some advice.

    Thank you!

The trick is to right-click on one of the other headers Panel, for example the tone curve, and you will see a context menu allowing you to reselect the ro basic Panel.

Otherwise, when in the develop Module just do Ctrl + 1 (Cmd + 1 on a Mac), or in the menu bar go to window > panels > base Panel.

  • How is there is some noise in the library module, while there is none in the develop module?

    Straight, simple like this:

I shoot with a 5 d MARK II. Complete captor. No noise even possibel to ISO high.

I airbrushed a picture and I pushed some limitations while using the tool brush on some sections of the image.

As I watch in the DEVELOP module, I see no noise at all. As soon as I open it in the LIBRARY module, I see the noise on this specific section of the photo.

How is it? Will there be a compression of the image between the DEVELOPMENT and the LIBRARY module?

What to trust? How can we work with divergence like that?

If anyone noticed something similar, I would really like your opinion on this.

    > I'm shooting with a 5 d MARK II. Complete captor. No noise even possibel to ISO high.

You have been deceived by the marketing. All cameras, even a 5DmkII a noise at each ISO setting. Most of the noise from digital in modern cameras capture is caused by photon counting statistics (i.e. photographed fish noise or noise) and in small part by the noise of the amplifier. This means that any pixel noise is practically equal to the square root of the number of photons counted by the pixel. "Canna change the laws of physics Cap ' n."

    > I've airbrushed image and I pushed some limitations while using the tool brush on some sections of the image. As I watch in the DEVELOP module, I see no noise at all. Development module working on a small subset of the raw data for its display, especially when zoomed out to go up or fill. This is to ensure that cursors are sensitive and you don't have to wait for a few seconds each time you touch a slider. You can only trust the preview to establish in what respect the sharpness and noise when zoomed to 1:1 or higher because of this and this means you must be able to optimize the sharpness and noise while the zoom 1:1 reduction. This is necessary in all cases that capture sharpening and noise reduction work at the pixel level. In the library, the preview is a JPEG, pronounced on the raw file using full raw. Also note that if you brush positive clarity, one tends to amplify really no noise in the image, so, be careful and check regularly at 1:1.

    > What to trust? How can we work with divergence like that?

1:1 Preview to the point or the glimpse of the library if you are interested in the features of sharpness and noise.

    > If anyone noticed something similar, I would really like your opinion on this.

You are not the first to see it for sure. Usually, it doesn't matter except when you push your images really hard.

  • Sharpen in the develop module or in the export dialog box?

Interpreted by using LR, "output sharpening is in addition to any sharpening you apply in the develop module.» So, I wonder, if do sharpen in the develop module (which is usually the case, because I ask to sharpen when importing as a preset) should still possible sharpening on export (Export, dialog-> output sharpening)? My workflow is usually as follows: 12 mp raws of import, with a "Preset" involving some sharpening (55,1,40,0), then make some adjustments for the photos and I export to jpg with a heavy (long edge 800pix) resize. Export I usually check "sharpen to: screen" "amount: standard." This is my workflow sharpening OK?

    Thank you.

Yes. Sharpening in two different points. Sharpening during sharpening - develop entered to correct the softness introduced during of conversion of camera detector and later Demosaic process. It's the sharpness that you can easily see the edges more than giving contrast to full view.

Output sharpening is dependent on the display of the output (in general, print or screen) and is a different animal.

There are a lot of references inthese communications forums and debates on the differences and the reasoning and the math behind how to Lr.

  • Panels in the develop module does not open

All of the panels in the develop Module are visible and have a check beside them when I right-click.  However, the panels not open or close when I click on them.

I can't seem to open the base Panel, and I can't get the detail panel to close?

Thanks for your suggestions.  I searched for an answer in the FOrum, but did not.

I've never seen a check mark next to a Panel, you can show us a screenshot? I saw a triangle on the right edge of the Panel name, what do you mean? (And I can confirm that it is Lightroom you speak?) If so, what version NUMBER?)

What happens if you press CTRL + 1, the base Panel seems so?

  • Move image image in the develop module slowed down considerably in the last version of LR

I am a user of long date LR and use a fast PC Win10 (32 GB DDR4 RAM, SSD, GT 740 video discs, CPU i7 etc.) and the last LR update (or is this the one just before it) has radically changed the speed I can go from one image to the image in the develop module.

I read about a memory leak problem but with 32 GB DDR4 memory 2133 speed I never noticed the RAM usage (perhaps 25%?) so I don't think that is the question.  Something has changed in LR and Adobe to remedy.  The downturn is really affecting my work and I make my living in this way! Adobe, please help us!

Try to uncheck the option preferences > performance > CPU graph use.
