I used to be able to do this in previous versions of Media Player, but this function seems now blocked or unavailable. The problem is this: through previous use of media player, it plays all my multimedia files several times whenever a device support has been added. So now I'm stuck with more than 300 GB of duplicate media I have to search line by line through all my hard drives to find each duplicate both, unless I can get media player to do what it can. Any help in this area would be appreciated.

  To delete duplicate entries, click on another feature tab in the drive (for example the current playback), and then click library.
  
  If this does not remove duplicates from your library, you can use the Add to library dialog box to search computer to analyze a file on your computer the duplicate entries not valid-pointing. The player will remove invalid entries in your library that point to files that no longer exist in the folder.

  Complete the steps above for files that are stored in the hard disks.

  Method 1: Use the add to Library dialog box search for computers

  (a) start Windows Media Player.
  
  (b) press F3 on your keyboard to open Add to the library of the find computers dialog box.

  (c) click the Browse button to locate the folder on your computer so that your library contains invalid entries. Specify the location of the folder in the box look in.

  If you are not sure what duplicate in your library entry is not valid, you can add a path column to display in your library. Specify the folder on your computer that corresponds to the path not valid file displayed in your library.
  
  (d) click on the Search button.

  The player will search for digital media files and playlists in the folder that you specify and remove invalid entries in your library that point to files that no longer exist in the folder. If not valid in double entries point to other folders on your computer, repeat this procedure, specify a different folder every time.

  If only a small number of duplicate entries exist, you can delete those invalid manually by right-clicking on the invalid entry, and then clicking Delete .
  
  For large double-number of entries in your library (or if all your library is duplicated), it might be better to create a new library and delete the files.

  Method 2:

  After you remove the duplicate entries, run the troubleshooting of Windows Media Library settings to solve this problem.

  I guess these bitmaps are on the scene. They are all on the same layer? Who is always selected is large and, perhaps, on top of all the others?

  If the bitmaps are all on one layer, you can separate each in separate layers. Once you do this, you can lock / unlock layers individually so that you can work with one image at a time.

• I can't select more than one object with the SHIFT key, selected in the last Muse app

  Someone who uses the worm. last Muse CC 2014 with Mac OS 10.10.2 and had a problem of selection of several objects by using the Shift key and hold the method has a work around. It's frustrating to try to select several objects and this simple technique does not. This same shift-SELECT approach works fine on the same calculation with other products Adobe such as PS, AI, Id etc.

  I tried your suggestion to select multiple layers but no joy and no floating above the ones I had to choose. I discuss with a representative of Adobe this morning and discovered that it is possible to select more than one by dragging on the elements with the selection arrow. This forces me to block these unwanted layers selected in this shotgun approach first. It's my best work around so far. Shift-click works in the old Muse vs7.4.30 app on the same computer. I enjoyed your suggestion and hope there is a fix for the simple approach shift-click.

  I'm new to Audition and I can't find a way to select more than one clip/track in 2014 Audition multitrack view.  I tried now the shift or command clicking on more than a clip or track, and who doesn't.  I have clips separated on different tracks and I wish I could select them all moving them the same distance.  Is it possible to do this?  Thank you.

  Also, is there something like a "missing manual" online for the hearing?  All I can find are specific tutorials on specific topics.  Thanks again.

  What operating system do you use? On the PC, the Ctrl key and clicking on the titles is multiple selections, but I don't know if it's the same on Mac computers.

• Motorola Backflip - will not send more than one text

  I try to write a message that is more than an interesting text. It will no longer send... it will send the first text then it will repeat "SMS not sent" so that many other texts that have been in my initial shipment. It started just happens, that I've always been able to write a message as long as I want and it will happily send multiple text messages without complaining...

  Does anyone know where I can change this setting. I looked in the settings of Message but you can see nothing is there.

  Hi I have not installed anything related text. Infact I have only installed the apps were already there before resetting. Assistant Android is on everything until now lol. Its ok that I watched and apprently I can install a 3rd party sms management app that will do it for me. As long as I have a work around its ok. I just thought that there must be a setting somewhere so that it goes like this...

• Illustrator script to select more than one layer

  I have about 74 layers in illustrator and I want to run a script to select the combination of layers at once.

  Because for example I want 5 layers to be selected and save as a .jpg. So say I want to select other 3 layers to save it as a separate .jpg file. If I do it manually, it is up to 300 000 images.

  Can I create a CSV with all layers to select presented in a row. I need help with command to select 4 or more layers at the same time to tell if I layer1, layer2, Layer 3, layer4 then a command to select the 4 layers and save as a .jpg file.

  first: If you don't know why, then there is always a chance that you get a wrong answer!
  Second: your request has no WHERE clause. TableName has only one folder, if EmpNumber must be separate to make sense.
  Third: If you want a solution (be aware that this could be a quick and a dirty) you can use

  WHERE ROWNUM < 2
  

  warnings: not sure that the registration of two, you can get. Therefore, you may need an ORDER BY

   ORDER BY )
  WHERE ROWNUM < 2

• How can I select more than one bookmark at a time so that I can open and then several bookmarks - without the aggravation of back to the list and selecting and opening each one.

  Oh I see, when I read your question, my understanding is that you have Web sites that you are opening regularly you would like to open all at once. This is why I have proposed to create a folder with these specific bookmarks.

  However, your clarification, it seems that you want to open Web sites randomly here and there. So, essentially, you want to SELECT favorite sites and then open them at the same time.

  There is a way to do it. Access your bookmarks by clicking on the menu button drop-down orange Firefox (upper-left). It is:

  • Go to \Firefox\Bookmarks\Show all bookmarks;
  • Click on "Bookmarks Menu" (in the sidebar);
  • Use the CTRL key to select your favorite Web sites.
  • Right click and choose "all open tabs.

  It's always a bit laborious, but it's the easiest way, I could find, especially if you want to open several tabs at the same time.

• It is possible to select more than one layer by selecting the first and the last layers?

  I frequently get Illustrator files which are individual objects such as the paths on separate layers that can be grouped together to make the shorter layers. I find that I have to change click on each individual layer to select it to finally bring together them. Sometimes, I have 25 or so layers that I need to select. Is there a way to select the first and the last layer in the layers palette and have Illustrator select all the layers in the meantime?

  Don't know about the selection of layers of first/last, but to select several consecutive layers in the layers palette...

  Option-click on (Mac) on a layer to select it and, with the option always pressed key, drag to the bottom of the list - DO NOT slip on as logical target icons you like.  When you drag to the bottom of the list of layers, the icons of the target will become selected.

  Shift + Option-click allows you to ignore the layers and continue to select consecutive additional layers on the bottom of the palette.

  Note: Drag slowly or some layers would not choose.

  Strange, I know.  It took me years to come across this.

  I want to do at least one of the following conditions:

  1. I want to install several exes (built with LV app builder) in a directory because they go hand in hand.
  2. make several subfolders under the same top-level folder EAT install exe in each of them.

  (Upper level) should be the folder of "society". The subfolders are for applications.
  For example:
  c:\company\app1\app1.exe
  c:\company\app1\app1setup.exe
  c:\company\app2\app2.exe
  etc.
  This can also be in the folder "program files".

  If I try to do, I have a few problems of implementation of the construction specifications. If I have more than one generation standard for the exe I can't add in the same folder. At least if they contain the same external files, such as DLLs.
  If I try to do by exe installer, I get an error message telling me that the same folder (my "upper tier") already exist in the registry and cannot be added again. This is also true if I try to do a new project instead of having to install several specifications in a project to build.

  I use Labview 2009 (engl.) Windows Vista (in German).

  for the records: I found out what was the problem (and the solution).

  Both my needed apps the same external DLL. While this should be no problem it caused the new Builder installer/app and me the headaches. The new app Builder seems to build its internal paths in the registry. If you select more than one target of generation 'exe', he gets into trouble if more than one using a subdirectory 'data' with the same DLL and each subdirectory using the name of 'data' of sugested.

  The solution is simple: just give each target generation "exe" a subdirectory 'data' different like data1, data2 etc. and the problems disappear.
