  I have Windows XP Pro and am logged on as a domain administrator. There is a particular shortcut on my desktop that does NOT open the EXE file it designates. I see a brief hourglass and then nothing. Other shortcuts work fine. The ONLY way to launch this particular EXE must right-click, select run as, click the LOWER radio button and then enter the SAME credentials, that I used to connect to the origin. Curiously, if I leave the radio button selected HIGH and try to run the program I get the same reaction I do by double-clicking on the shortcut directly on the desktop.

  I replaced the EXE existing with a new copy, deleted and recreated the shortcut, no joy. An analysis of the AV shows nothing.

  If anyone has experienced this before? Can anyone offer pointers? Thanks in advance.

  I understand that you are unable to AirPlay from your Mac to your Apple TV.  Here are some troubleshooting steps that I recommend to go through this problem.

  Get help

  If you do not see the AirPlay icon , make sure that your Apple TV is awake and that it meets the system requirements.

  If you do not see your Apple TV in the AirPlay menu, make sure that your Mac and Apple TV comply with the system requirementsand your software from the Apple TV is updated. Also check your firewall settings:

  1. Choose the Apple menu > System Preferences, click Security & Privacy, and then click the Firewall tab.
  2. Click the lock icon and enter an administrator name and password.
  3. Click Firewall Options.
  4. Deselect the option "block all incoming connections".
  5. Select the option "automatically allow signed software to receive incoming connections.

  If your office does not look great on your HDTV, high-definition TV could apply image quality improvements that are not the best for the computer images. Check the manual of your HDTV for more information on how to adjust your HDTV settings for use with a computer.   It was the strangest thing, but I think I solved the problem. Use the CC version 2015.1 on a Wacom tablet using Win 8.1 and inadvertently from the same batch of photos, I had downloaded twice and it was very confusing because it did not prevent the duplication of files, but the files where not really there. I didn't know whether to remove or delete the files with question marks for fear of destroying a link or something so merged files and now everything works as it should, once chosen in the library that the photo appears in develop mode.

  Here are the steps of general network troubleshooting. Just cannot apply to your situation, so just take the bits that are. It may seem daunting, but if you follow the steps in the links and suggestions below calmly and consistently, you will have no difficulty to implement your sharing.

  Problems sharing files between computers on a network are usually caused by 1) a misconfigured firewall or a firewall neglected (including a dynamic firewall in a virtual private network); or (2) inadvertently run two firewalls such as the firewall of Windows and a third-party firewall. and/or (3) do not have accounts to the same users and passwords on all computers in the workgroup. (4) tries to create actions where the operating system does not.

  In Windows 7, go to control panel > everything in Control Panel > network and sharing Center. Click on "change the advanced sharing settings. You don't want to use the residential group unless you have all Windows 7 machines. If you do and you want to use the homegroup, see Windows 7 Help & Support. Otherwise, in sharing advanced:

  Discovery of plug in the network
  Open the files and printers sharing
  Turn on the sharing section Public folder sharing
  Plug the password protected sharing

  A. configure the firewall on all machines to allow traffic to local area network (LAN) as being approved. With the Windows Firewall, turning on window file sharing and printer as the above will take care of that for you. If you are not running a third-party firewall or you have an antivirus/security with its own firewall component program, then you're fine.  With a third-party firewall, I usually set up the allocation of LAN with an IP address range. E.g. would be 192.168.1.0 - 192.168.1.254. Obviously you would substitute your correct subnet. Refer to the safety of any third party program or the user forums for how to correctly configure its firewall. Do not run more than one firewall. DON'T STOP FIREWALLS; CONFIGURE THEM CORRECTLY.

  (B) to facilitate the Organization, put all computers in the same workgroup. This is done from the System applet in Control Panel, the computer name tab.

  C. create the counterpart of the user accounts and passwords on all machines. You do not need to be logged into the same account on all machines and assigned to each user account passwords can be different; accounts/passwords just need to exist and to match on all machines. DO NOT NEGLECT TO CREATE PASSWORDS, EVEN IF ONLY OF SIMPLE. If you want a machine to boot directly to the desktop (a particular user account) for convenience, you can do this:

  Start > Search box > type: netplwiz [Enter]
  Click continue (or provide an administrator password) when you are prompted by UAC

  Uncheck "users must enter a user name and password to use this computer". Select a user account to connect automatically by clicking on the account you want to highlight and press OK. Enter the password for this user account (when it exists) when you are prompted. Leave blank if there is no password (null).

  D. Si one or more of the computers on your network are XP Pro or Media Center, turn off Simple file sharing (Folder Options > view tab).

Then go to the printer mftr Web site. and download the latest drivers for the correct system. Install them on the target machines. The printer must be collected during the installation procedure. If this isn't the case, install the drivers and then use the Add Printer Wizard. In some cases, printers must be installed as local printers, but it is outside this response.   I got touch mobile monitor of LT1423p for about 6 months and it was working fine with Windows 7 and my laptop T440p. Recently upgraded the laptop with Windows 8.1 and am having problems with mobile monitor not turns not not at a resolution of 1600 x 900.

  It works at all resolutions except 1600 x 900 (for example it is fine until a resolution up to 1440 x 900). However if I select the resolution 1600 x 900 (whether through normal windows screen resolution or dialog via the link screen Lenovo Manager) he works at 1280 x 1024 resolution EVEN IF Connection Manager dialog default resolution and display Windows screen it's running at 1600 x 900.

  It's a very strange problem. Initially, I tried with the default LT1423p drivers and have since upgraded the video drivers and displaylink drivers to the latest version.

  Looks like people here are run with Win 8.1 successfully so I wonder why it does not work for me.

  Fixed my own problem in the end

  Looks like it's a strange wins scale question of resolution 8.1. Had to tick the option 'Let me pick a level of scaling for all my views' and the problem was solved.

  Problem solved

  I asked this question because I was unable to see what was going on in the event viewer and I couldn't find help in mmc HTML Help. However, now I see what's happening and I can give you a solution to my own question.

  Cause

  If I connect to the computer as a user with administrator privileges, I am able to use the event viewer to create a custom view filter that can be used by all users who have access to the event viewer. If I fix remove a view filter custom Console tree, I can't delete it unless I'm logged in as the user who created it.

  Solution

  1. Log the computer as the user who created the custom view.
  2. Start Event Viewer
  3. Use the right-click of the mouse on a custom view filter selected in the Console tree, open the drop down menu.
  4. Delete appears fourth in the bottom of the menu if and only if you are logged on as the user who created this view.
  5. Select Remove to remove the filter to custom view.

  If Delete does not appear in the drop-down menu, then it may not possible you connect as the user who created the custom view.

  Looks like you may have a virus or other malware. Get your updated antivirus program and boot into Safe Mode. Note that some viruses can hide from your normal antivirus program, so you really need to scan in Safe Mode. To enter in Safe Mode when you turn on first, press F8 on every seconds until you get the menu, and then select Safe Mode. Then run a complete system scan.
