  • How do you prevent Siri to send text messages?

My children told me just show a problem with my iPhone 6 and Siri:

My phone is locked, my child picks up the phone, press the home button and said "Send by David SMS", Siri let him write a voice message: "what is your social security number?   Siri sends, my other child shows me it seems I just send the message from my iPhone.

David sends what looks like his social security number (it is not, we test all this), and the message appears on my locked iPhone.

So if I left my phone sitting around, everyone could use Siri to do things like this for the information of anyone in my Contacts, even though I have a 6-digit code and fingerprints id put in place.

What settings I need to change on my iPhone 6 to ensure that ever happening?

  • 9.2 messages will not send any messages on MacBook

I am running OS X El Capitan version 10.11.6 on a MacBook Pro 15 "retina (mid-2015) with 9.2 Messages. I also have an iPhone running iOS 10.0.1 6.

A few days ago, I got an alert that someone had logged on to iMessage on iPhone 4S that I didn't own. I changed my password, and since I was not able to use the Messages on my MacBook. If I try to send a message using my phone number, he is trying to send a text message and fails. If I try to send from an email address, it sends as an iMessage and fails immediately. Everything works fine on my iPhone, but the conversations from my iPhone will not sync to my MacBook.

I signed into messages on my MacBook and iPhone. I signed out and back several times on both. My phone number and email are all verified in the context of "you are reachable by iMessage to. I tried to remove the content in ~/Library/Messages/ and empty the trash. I rebooted my MacBook several times. Nothing has worked so far.

Anyone know what I need to do?

    May be a corrupt .plist.

Make a backup, preferably 2 backups on 2 separate drives.

    Quit the application.

Go to Finder and select your user folder. With this Finder window as the windshield, select Finder/display/display options for presenting or order - J.  When the display options opens, check "show the library folder. This should make your visible user library folder in your user folder.  Select the library. Then go to Preferences/com.apple.iChat.plist.  Move the .plist on your desktop.

Restart your computer, open the application and test. If it works fine, delete the plist for the office.

If the application is the same, return the .plist where you got it, crushing the latest.

If this does not work, repeat the above, but remove the com.apple.imagent.plist

  • After that iOS 10 Upgrade, Siri can send text messages.

I have an iPhone 6.  I have upgraded to iOS 10 (10.0.1) this morning.  Everything seems to work very well with the exception of Siri is unable to send text messages.  It was working fine before the upgrade.

'Hey Siri' addresses.  I say to "send a message to Patti mobile xxxx."  Siri says and asks what I want to say.  I said the message.  It saves the message as usual and asks me if I want to send it.  I say 'yes '.  He says "your message has been sent.

Then, I get an error message saying that the message could not send.  The message is then listed with a recipient of: _ $! < mobile >! $_ the message below is "Message send Failure."

Any thoughts?  Thanks for your time.

10 iOS update resets some parameters according to me.  It worked for me to go to Options - LTE data - cell - cell settings enable and toggle either 'Off' or 'Data Only'.  Texting non-Apple do not seem to work if "Voice & Data" is selected.

  • When I send a message, how can I get Thunderbird to save it in a local folder, not "sent"?

I use pop. I have a number of local folders where I want to store messages on specific topics. I can move there messages in my Inbox and I can move there messages sent from the folder "sent" on the mail server, but it's tedious. When I was with Pegasus mail, I could set up so that every time that I sent a message he would ask me where to save it, and I found it really useful. Is there such a feature in Thunderbird? If so, I have not found. I can't even see how to redirect messages sent to my Local Outbox folder.

    Thanks for your help.

Tools / account settings / Copies & folders "when sending a message...". »

Outbox is a system box for messages that must be sent later. If you are working offline, or you decide to send later, they will remain in the Outbox until the envoys and then moved to "sent" folder.

POP is sent is a local folder. but under the local-file account.

  • iMessage do not send text Messages on new iPad Pro

I am trying to send sms messages using my iPad Pro. The iPad than Pro will only send messages to any phone number that is not associated with iMessage (an email from iCloud). Is there a way to ensure that I can get iMessage to send these sms?

  • Thunderbird crash when sending a message or a copy in the sent mail

I use Thunderbird on Yosemite 10.10.4 38.2.0 (Mac), to connect to Gmail via their IMAP server.

I have been using Thunderbird for many years. The last two weeks, a problem has resurfaced. It seems that Thunderbird loses contact with the IMAP of Gmail server. Two things occur:

    (1) crashes when sending a message: it hangs on "connecting to smtp.gmail.com. After awhile, I hit cancel them and send again and the message passes through. (screenshot attached)

    (2) hangs when copying to sent mail: I compacted my sent mail folder and it still hangs. Yet once I hit Cancel, and he me reprompts. After clicking ok several times, he finally saves the email in the folder.

I am also intermittently an error message "unable to run filters on the message" or something like that. Sporadically, in this case it is so difficult to reproduce.

I have a feeling that the problem is actually the Google server. I was in a new access provider, so at first I thought it was related to this. However, I have tested this in two places, including my university network (temple.edu) and observed the same problems. So, I don't think it's my local network connection.

I found no information that Google has hurt. I think that other users would see the same thing. The problem with the copy sent mail before in older versions of Thunderbird. The usual alternatives were to compact the file and play with the process boundary setting.

This is the case on almost every message I send now, and I send a lot of email, so I need to help this debugging.

    Thank you.

By lifting the server indicates you have DNS problems. Something other r4eport as being useful is a ditch their ISP DNS and use Googles. It's
IP 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4. For instructions, see https://www.opennicproject.org/configure-your-dns/how-to-change-dns-servers-on-a-mac/

However, do not check e-mail in the "sent" folder is also very annoying because I can't delete this folder.

Normally, Thunderbird saves mail in the sent folder. In the case of Gmail, all outgoing mail is autoatically added to the Gmail sent folder, and in the case of IMAP synchronizes it to the same folder in Thunderbird. So I guess that you are not using IMAP for your mail. Would this be the case? If you use POP, do a right-click on the account, select settings and folder on behalf of copies and put so save outgoing mail. Maybe it's that, for your EDU that Google do not save in the folder mail. In this case with regard to POPs.

  • On sending a message, the server sent a wrong message: #4.4.5. too many connections to the host

On sending a message, an error has occurred "the mail server has sent a wrong message: #4.4.5 too many connections to this host..."
The mail is displayed as sent in envoys, but is not received by the recipient. On sending several messages to test myself this fault seems to be intermittent.

Hmm did you get mail outbound scanning performed by an anti virus program? Turn the power off.

Have the e-mail account on your phone? try turning off your phone.

Is the IMAP or POP account?

    TT2

  • TB has worked fine until yesterday when I needed to send a message to more than 100. I divided the AddressBook into pieces and sent about 50 when TT502 came.

I use TB 31.7.0, PC Windows 7. Had no problems until now. I divided the 100 addresses in groups of about 20 and sent to 3 groups. The 4th was wrong and I got the message: "too many recipients, TT502. I cut down the number of addresses, but the problem persists. I can't send all messages now, even to a single recipient. So I have a problem that does not reset when tuberculosis is turned off and restarted. Incoming is fine but I can't answer. Any ideas?

Looks like you reach the limit of the sending of your provider. Of course sending for 1 person isn't too unless your provider has a hourly or daily limit and cut you.
Given that the error has an associated server code the error came from your server vendors. Thunderbird would have nothing to do with it.

  • How can I get TB in my Mac ask me before you send the messages in the Outbox?

Something has changed and TB is now send messages that I created to send later (that are in the Outbox) without asking me, as soon as I re - connect to a network (i.e., it stores them correctly in the Outbox but if my phone loses the network - because for example I close to home - once he reconnects it sends all messages without asking).

I have a Mac and I can't find the advanced options > settings network and disk space that (https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1004514) indicates that the solution.

  • I believe that Mozilla Thunderbird is slow while sending a message by copying to the sent box. I have multiple accounts, so implementation of tiles help!

I feel as many times is slow to send the message in Mozilla Thunderbird. Where, as in my Android phone, I could send a message very fast.

One thing is implementation on the tiles on the homescreen allows to scroll too many accounts. The interface is too basic. Sorry if am not mistaken.

Thunderbird sends slow by most standards, leaving the sending dialog box until he receives a message from the server that it contains the message, and send. Most programs send background and Thunderbird can do so, but reporting of errors in transmission is eager. You can activate the sending in the background by setting mailnews.sendInBackground to true in the configuration editor and sending of Thunderbird will be much faster. But you might want to watch the dependent bugs on this bug. before you "do" to make sure that you can live with the consequences. Most users will not have a problem.

  • I can't send this message in particular one.

Using MacOS 10.11.5 and Mail 9.3.

I wrote it a message that will not send.  I can send other messages and messages are incoming normally.  There's just this tha message of the origin of the problem.

It contains attached a Zip file I can't open; I'm trying to send it to a colleague of Windows.  The file comes from a reliable source (Roku.com).  The file is 733KB.  The entire message is 752 KB.  My POP server is pop.gmail.com.  I'll post to Google, but I thought I'd give the guys on this forum a crack at it first.

The message is in the Mail Outbox.  I can double-click it to open it.  The message has a valid for: address and an object.  I tried to create a new message, type the To: and subject, and then copy the body.  When I clicked on the icon to send,

A second [copy of the] message will appear in the Outbox.

The area of activities inside my boxes Panel opened mailbox.

"Sending Message (750KB)" appears in the activity area.

The blue line crossed a seemingly appropriate speed.

The blue line hit the right side, the area of activities disappeared.

The Outbox had now two messages in there.

No new messages appear in the sent box.

I deleted messages o the two message in the Outbox and clicked on the icon 'Get New Message'.  This product 'No. New Messages' in the area of activity.  No "shipment".  I tried to click it several times without any difference.

Yet once, receiving messages and other messages sent both seem to function normally.  It's just that a message that does not turn off.

    Any suggestions?

    -Gil

Check that you send to the email address is correct. Try to use the webmail of your email provider page to send the e-mail.

What is the exact error message?

  • I want to re - send a message exactly as it was originally (it failed to achieve its goal). I can do this in Thunderbird?

I send messages that require a response to send to the entire list of CC. If the message fails to reach the recipient target (unknown cause and nothing to do with Mozilla TB) I always have a copy and can of course she Fwd. But then the ease of reply to all does not work for my correspondent receives the sent copy. In MS Outlook, it is possible to re - send a message to exactly the same conditions as the original. Why not in Thunderbird? Or am I missing something?

How about Message. Change as new? Or do a right click, then Change As New.
