  Serial numbers came on the cd case. If they aren't there, you have no way to use the program except as a 30 day trial. Adobe CS5 licenses no longer sells.

  As much as I know there is no option to acquire a new serial number - you must use the one assigned at the time of purchase.  If you already have this software installed and registered with Adobe you should be able to find your serial number through your Adobe account online.

  The serial number is usually on the case which holds the record.  It seems unlikely that you would accidentally throw it, then you will want to check here.
