Setting up automatic SQL point doubt [OCP review]

Hello

Sorry for my bad English.

I am preparing for the review of 11 g OCP.

To do this, I bought training tools to help me prepare for the exam.

But, in the chapter on the SQL tuning Advisor, a few explanations really confuse me.

Excerpt:

< <

the auto tuning SQL job runs every night during the maintenance window.

( By default, labour made recommendations of profile SQL, them and them if they provide the best performance improvemen automatically implementst test)

> >

I was convinced that it was the opposite.

I check several databases/documentation, and it is still seems to be the opposite.

By default, the new profile of sql are tested but not automatically implemented (you must set ACCEPT_SQL_PROFILES to TRUE to enable this option)

But the review is validated on oracle 11.2.0.1, and I 11.2.0.2/11.2.0.3 db available.

So maybe oracle changed the value of the default setting in the new versions.

Can someone confirm whether I'm right or not?

I would rather accept what's in the documentation:

"If a SQL profile is recommended, the database tests the new profile by running the SQL statement with and without the profile. If improving the performance improves at least three times, then the database accepts SQL profile, but only if the ACCEPT_SQL_PROFILES task parameter is defined on TRUE . Otherwise, automatic tuning reports of SQL simply report the recommendation to create a SQL profile". Auto Tuning SQL

"If auto execution of SQL Profiler is enabled (only default is disabled), then the database implements all SQL Profiler that promise a great performance benefit. The implementation occurs to the time setting so that the database can immediately benefit from the new plan. You can enable or disable automatic execution using the SET_AUTO_TUNING_TASK_PARAMETER API to set the ACCEPT_SQL_PROFILES parameter. " DBMS_AUTO_SQLTUNE

  • Time and date of the Iphone 6s set contacts automatically / backup

Hi my name is Rebecca. Please be patient, this is a long story with a question to which Apple for a month and a half has not been able to solve. The end of February, I went to Sprint to upgrade my iphone 6 to a 6 s. (my 6 had no problem). The backup and restore to the other went off without a hitch. Two weeks having the phone, date and the value automatically switched to a GMT setting which is 4 hours ahead of New York. Assumption is that the phone has been deserted. I got a new phone and everything has been backed up and restored again. Less than two weeks later, the same goes for the 2nd iphone 6 s.  I went to Sprint and got a 3rd iphone 6 s. backup and restored all again. Less than a week later for the 4th time, the new iphone 6 s time and date switched to the time zone GMT 4 hours ahead of New York. At this point, I called Apple Tech support. A very nice tech Jason worked with me for 2 weeks to fix this. He sent Apple a 4th iphone 6s. We did a backup and when the new phone came in did us a restore. A few days later, the same problem. Apple accuses Sprint, Sprint complaint to Apple. At this point, Sprint said that my sim card was corrupted and he sent me a new. On the phone with Jason, we did a reset of the iphone 6s failing manufacturers. Removed the corrupted sim card and put in a new vacuum. Phone restarts and when you get to the Setup screen, it asks "set up as a new user or a user to return. Jason said as a new user.  I clicked on new user. Following her request for an apple ID. Jason said I should put in my existing apple id (although it has been activated on as a new user). At this point the phone wouldn't turn on. On the phone with Sprint. They did not understand as to why the phone would not activate. Jason suggested that I put my original sim card in (which was noted as corrupted), then the active phone. At this stage because I had not done a restore, the only information on my phone now an old backup who had my contacts and some of the notes, images etc. Jason said to do a restore after just 24 hours to be sure of the time and the date stay correct. Not happened. Less than 24 hours, the date and time that is set to automatic changed to the GMT time zone. Jason was out of suggestions. We left him there. I am very angry to pay more than $800 for an iphone that feature very very important does not work. On mine, I restored my phone and thought what I'd do. I then did a backup. I'll stop my icloud. I have reset my builders phone by default and when I went through the whole upward I plugged my phone in itunes and restored my phone from my computer backup. (Icloud is always OFF). Less than 24 hours later at the date and time in GMT area again. Once again, that I have a phone very very expensive with a feature that is vital for me, I can't use. Yes, I could turn the machine off, but I shouldn't do that. So here's my question: Iphone 6, I have not had any problems with my icloud or my sim card or the date and time. 6 s IPhone that I do. I got iphone 4 brand new 6s with the same problem. Is - that my sim card is corrupt and transfer information corrupt, though only it worked fine in my iphone 6? Second question: I don't want to sign up for a new apple id and start from scratch. This will screw up my gmail which is linked to the apple ID. How can I back up my contacts only on my computer and then be able to reset my phone manufacturers by default, then erase all information from my existing apple ID in order to use again, but only restore contacts which is the worst part of transfer phones. Apps and notes, photos and all the rest is not a problem to start from scratch, but contact is almost impossible to have to type each hand one by one. Please someone out there with a solution. Thank you in advance.

  • System Restore create not automatic restore points

I recently posted a related problem, which has been repaired/fixed, see http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Operating-systems-and-software/System-Restore-does-not-retain-restore-p...

My HP Pavilion DV6 is not creating Automatic restore points.  Laptop is ~ 3 months and is using Windows 7.   In my previous post, I had trouble with the restore points disappear.  This problem has been fixed when I corrected a number of bad sectors on my hard drive. Now, I can manually create restore points and they remain intact.  Manual of several points have been in place for a few weeks.  However, I don't get the automatic restore points.  I checked the Task Scheduler, it has listed the restoration of the system, the Task Scheduler Service is started and set to automatic.  I put triggers restore to create a restore point 02:00 every day and start the system.  Whenever I have check the properties of SR within the Task Scheduler window, it lists today and said that "the operation completed successfully (0x0).  However, no restore point is created.  I can't find any errors listed in the event where the viewer associated with the restoration of the system, kind of most prospects, it seems that the Restore Points should be created, but there is no list but the manual I did myself. I've set the conditions of restoration as follows: 1) start the task only if the computer is idle for 10 minutes. (2) wait for idle for 10 minutes. (3) wake the computer to run the task.  System Restore has 15% of disk space for storing points, so there is plenty of room.  Interestingly, on the properties of SR tab listed 'History', says ' story (disabled), so there is nothing listed there.»

I must be missing something - any ideas?

Last updated: the scenario and the procedure of johngalt I linked above works like a charm.  I'm daily Restore Points just like I want.  In the cases where I decide I want to only a couple of a week, I can easily change the new task at the request I created, so I don't plan to post further.   Question is resolved :-)  Thanks for the help!

  • Manually set a previous Restore Point

How can I set a system restore point on a date prior to that of the automatic restore point? For example, my current automatic restore point is May 25 and I want to put it to May 21. When I click on the link that allows me to set a restore point, it defines only the point for the current day. It does not give me the option of specifying a particular (and previous) date for my restore point, along with other versions of Windows.

No win version did have the opportunity to create a restore point for a date that has passed.

In the latest versions of LR you can simply double-click on the word white and black all in now the SHIFT key. Which will automatically define the ends of the histogram. It works fine most of the time, but sometimes I need to go back a little off.

  • Automatic SQL (cards), how interrogate?

Hi everyone, I am trying to use the automatic SQL (cards) instead of the explicit SQL and it is very easy to write and read from the database simply write the column name and binding it... but... How can I query with this type of connection?

for example, I have a table with

    -DateTime

    -Result (OK, KB)

and I want to get only the OK value in a date.

With explicit SQL I would have

    SELECT * FROM [TableName] WHERE DateTime BETWEEN 00.00.00 # #2016-03-01 AND 00.00.00 # #2016-03-02 AND WHERE result = OK

But how to do it with the automatic SQL (cards)?

  • Windows automatic updates to doubt?

In windows 7, in windows updates, when we select "install updates automatically (recommended)" and then set the time when to install updates, to just install the updates then (downloads at any time seized in accordance with his will) or download them first at that time and then to install it?
As my use of the internet is free from 02:00 to 08:00 and I want that windows should download the updates and install them automatically at 03:00 (it would cost my internet charges). If I put out there like "every day at 03:00" time, it will download at that time (which I want it to be), or simply install at the time (I don't want to use my day consumption for the updates of windows... I want to use the free part!).

p.s. it restarts the computer automatically after installing updates (I don't want) or to delay the recovery until I wake up in the morning and do it myself (I want it)?

If it does it automatically, is it possible to stop him?

    From: Understanding Windows automatic updating

    When the updates are downloaded?

Updates are downloaded behind the scenes when you are online. They do not interfere with other downloads. If you disconnect from the Internet before an update is fully downloaded, the download process will continue the next time you're online.

    When the updates are installed?

It depends on the automatic update option you choose. If you choose the recommended option, updates are installed at 3:00 or on a schedule you choose. If you turn off your computer before the scheduled time, you can install updates before shutting down. If your computer is in a State of economy of energy (sleep or Hibernate) during a scheduled update, and if your computer is connected to a power source, Windows will wake your computer long enough to install new updates. If your computer is running on battery, however, Windows will not install updates. Windows will try to install them instead at the next scheduled installation.

Through the above information, it seems that Windows Update is download the updates when the system is online and install them during the scheduled installation.
Updates need to reboot the system to replace files in use will be to reboot the system without any user interaction.

As far as I know, when WU is set to automatic, there is no way to restrict the time when the system will download the updates.
If the edition of Windows 7 is the ultimate edition, professional or business, one can configure the options of restart and guests reboots via Group Policy. In addition

PowerShell cmdlets in Windows 7 introduces a set of 25 new cmdlets, which allow administrators to manage and automate Windows PowerShell through Group Policy. With these cmdlets, a COMPUTER administrator can backup, restore, report on and configure (through registry settings) Group Policy objects. This feature is added during the installation of the GPMC.

PowerShell cmdlets also applies to editions listed above of Windows 7.

  • Location of automatic restore Points?

Can someone tell me where the automatic restore points are stored on XP & Windows 7? I know that if I put a manually restore point, I define the location.

"" Windows XP "Backup or Restore Wizard" aka ntbackup.exe is intended to back up (for example, to create copies of) various ' files and settings "on your computer.

    • One option is the backup directory your "My Documents", your "Favorites" in Internet Explorer and your IE cookies.
    • Or you can save these points for all users on the computer.
    • Or you can save 'everything' to create a 'System Restore disk '.
    • Or you can select some files or directories to back up.

NTbackup has several limitations, including least are that it uses a proprietary format and will not optical media backup.  Microsoft changed Ntbackup for the "Windows Backup and Restore Center" in Vista and Windows 7.  Unfortunately, the backup and restore of Vista has not read bkf files created by NTbackup in XP.  As you can imagine, there was a significant negative reaction to this, and Microsoft has finally provided a utility NTBackup restoration for Windows Vista and later OS that can read (but not create) the bkf files.

Although NTbackup is free and a part of Windows XP, many people choose to use another backup utility.  Personally, I prefer the applications of cloning and disk imaging, like Acronis True Image Home and Paragon Drive Backup Casper 4.

System Restore is not the same thing as NTBackup.  System Restore saves the registry of Windows and some specific system and application files.  It does NOT record the data of the user, such as documents, music, etc.  System Restore automatically creates a point of food every 24 hours (if the computer is on), as well as in front of some critical updates.  In addition, the user can create a restore system at any time point.  Here's a pretty good description of what system restore (the rest of the site is a very good resource for dealing with issues related to the SR): http://bertk.mvps.org/html/description.html

  • APSB15-27 will install automatically if flash is set to automatic update?  How do you determine if it's installed?

Will be APSB15-27 will install automatically if flash is set to automatic update?  How do you determine if it's installed?

    Hello

Yes, if the Flash is set to the automatic update, then the system automatically update to the latest version, 19.0.0.226.  There are several ways to determine if the system is updated:

    Windows:

    • Check the version number in the files saved to:

      • C:\Windows\System32\Macromed\Flash
      • C:\Windows\SysWOW64\Macromed\Flash
    • In the registry:
      • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Macromedia\FlashPlayer > CurrentVersion

        • But if you have more than one browser, you can check the version of each type of player:

          • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Macromedia\FlashPlayerActiveX > Version
          • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Macromedia\FlashPlayerPepper > Version
          • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Macromedia\FlashPlayerPluginReleaseType > Version
      • If you have the 64-bit operating system, you will want to check the Wow6432Node corresponding node as well (although the installed version should be the same for both 32-bit versions and 64-bit)

    OS X:

    • NPAPI plugin: / Library/Internet Plug-Ins/Flash Player.plugin/Contents/Info.plist > CFBundleVersion
    • PPAPI plugin: / Library/Internet Plug-Ins/PepperFlashPlayer/PepperFlashPlayer.plugin/Contents/Info.plist > CFBundleVersion
