Several deployments VM referencing a CSV file - what are csv headings?

Hi all

I'm having some difficulty with a CSV file and the creation of multiple virtual machines of script and I was wondering if anyone could help please?

I have a CSV file with the following headers:

Name of the server, ESX host, Datastore, NumCPU, MemoryGB, DiskGB, name, disk storage Format, the network ID

Test-SVR10, 192.168.1.50, ds_01, 1, 4, 40, the VM, slim network, winnetstandardguest

What I need to add is the type of network adapter (I have a mixture of vmxnet3 and e1000 to deploy) and several discs by VM.

The script that I have is:

"c:\scripts\vm-list.csv" import-csv - useculture | %{

new-vm-name $_. "' Server name '-VMHost $_. "" The ESX host "Datastore-$_. Data store - NumCPU $_. NumCPU - MemoryGB $_. MemoryGB-DiskGB $_. "" DiskGB "-NetworkName $_. "" Network name "DiskStorageFormat-$_. "" The disk storage Format '-ID $_. ID

}

If I was typing this one line at a time. (or by using a batch file I think) I could use - DiskGB 10,20,30 adding several drives on the virtual computer, but I can't seem to add in the CSV file, and the error message says something about - parameter which I don't understand.

I guess it's a case of getting the column headers correct for the information I need to add. Is there a list of topics CSV somewhere?

It might be interesting to note that I am simply provide the hull of the virtual machine is deployed - are there no need to use a customization script or clone an existing virtual machine / deploy from an existing template.

See you soon.

The New-VM cmdlet can handle a table of values for the DiskGB parameter.

Don't know how you set the disk sizes in the CSV file, but if you placed in the single column, it should be read as a string.

But you can convert this string to an array.

For example:

If you entered '10/20/30' in the DiskGB column in the CSV file, you can do $_. DiskGB.Split('-') for a picture with the 3 values.

Generally, no. They are necessary for the programs and programs don't

But to be on the safe side, before deleting, why not burn these

  • What are the check marks that are now appearing on my images in Explorer and how do I get rid of them

I have all of a sudden the green boxes with checkmarks in them appearing on all my images when you use Explorer to view the files, what are they, where they coe, how can I disable the as they are large enough to identify a difficult image.

These sound marks as those put in by your backup application to indicate that the file has not been changed since the backup was made.  Look in your backup application to see if you have the option to turn off these indicators.

First 13 items on what operating system? You have 13 to 13.1 updates, using Help Menu/updates to date of an open project?

Your question immediately... assuming you have a NTSC installation...

    1. What are the dimensions in pixels of your JPEG files, and how many of them are there? Depending on the resources of the computer, how many JPEG files, and what pixel dimensions, try to use 1920 x 1080 format JPEG and the project preset elements 13/13.1 first is NTSC, DSLR, 1080 p, DSLR 1080 p 30.

    2. what type of player is has your HD TV?

    (a) if only one DVD, then your destination drive is drive DVD/record/Publish + share with preset = NTSC_Widescreen_Dolby DVD. Video set for display at 872 x 480 after encoding.

    (b) if player Blu - ray, then the publish + share/disc/AVCHD (which are a DVD disc)... can be 1920 x 1080 @ 23,94 progressive frames per second (H.264 1 920 x 1080 NTSC Dolby)

    (c) if the Blu - ray player, then publish + share/Disc/Blu-ray disc... can be 1920 x 1080 @ 23,94 progressive frames per second (H.264, 1920 x 1080 p NTSC Dolby).

I assumed you wanted a product of disc? If your HD TV player takes support other media of the video file, what are the formats on which media supports?

With this information, I will propose Publish + share/computer/specificities for export to files.

Please review, study and give more details.

  • What are all the REG # files on my C drive

On my laptop, using Windows Vista, there are 150 + REG #. files from a few years ago.  What are these files?  Can I remove in order to save disk space?

Thanks in advance for your help...

I recently made of full scans with my antivirus program as well as the scans with TDSSKiller from Kapersky... return clean all came.

I am suspicious that my use NTBackup from Windows in my laptop Windows Vista generates the REG0 *. * files.  I came across this Article from Microsoft (link... ( http://support.microsoft.com/kb/257534 ) This indicates that NTBackup has a "bug" that generates temporary files in systems other than Windows XP and do not remove when he in fact.
From this message, I have not materialized with recommendation of article (REG0 DEL *. * files after you run NTBackup), but I have a plan too once, I have a system in place that would allow me to recover in the event of a deletion hurt something.
I did a search in the world (hidden and system files) and the REG0 *. * located in several directories and to account for the large amount of disk space.
Any comments on the Microsoft Support article would be appreciated.

  • I have 38,000 double-files.do, I have to go through all and decide which keep do I take my PC to have cleaned teacher? What are my options?

I have more 38 000 files duplicated in my PC. I have to go through everyone and decide which to keep? What should I take my PC to get it cleaned up prof.?  What are my options. This is second hand PC that I thought was cleaned whenever I bought

Seriously, my best advice when dealing with a used computer is to wipe the system settings of the factory and to start with something that you can call your own. You do not know to what extent the configuration of the machine has been "customized" and the large number of duplicate files is indicative of problems in the system.

Prior to the relocation of factory default, you can use a free program like BelArc Advisor or SiSoft Sandra on the computer. Each of these lists several factors of the computer configuration, including software installed and associated with product keys. If you're feeling particularly playful mood, Magical Jelly Bean Keyfinder is another option. A case like this can be valuable during a clean installation.

  • Windows 7: what are the individual "file system type" files in the system volume information folder?

Original title: Windows 7: what are the individual "file system type" files in the folder system volume information accumulating [not the files system restore I already know and don't use yet]

    Hi-

I stopped using the system restore, I found a better solution, for me, that's what I have to do.
Then I noticed that several 'file system' 'type' was being created, 12 times yesterday, 3 up to today in the early hours of the morning and stored in they System Volume Information folder, anywhere from 30 MB to 2 GB.
three of these file names 'file system' 'type' are:

Can I follow up to what program/process they are related?
    Are they safe to delete?
    Ideas?  Suggestions?
    Thank you.

    Hi John,.

Yes, you can delete the system volume information data if not to use the system restore.

You will need to give permission to the folder until you delete it.

How to open a file if I get an access denied message?

  • What are the causes of a corrupted file?

    Hi all

I am a PC user and I send and receive PDF files as part of the company. Several times I came across a file when I try to open it, I get a message indicating that the file has been corrupted.

It would be very useful if someone could tell me what causes this. What can I do to prevent this, or if you know how I can talk to a person with Adobe to fix this problem.

    Thank you very much

    Hunter

Various things can cause file corruption, so it is sometimes difficult to determine the exact cause.

The most common thing which corrupts the PDFs is writing to them. Some e-mail providers use the coding to make the file smaller in transit to make the fastest transfer. When the pdf file is decoded, sometimes she mixes a little.

The reverse which is to have either the sender Zip the file first and then send it or to place it on the web somewhere and send you a link to download.

Do not touch anything unless you know what it is and are responsible for working with her.  These are probably not related to Java.

What you have here several programs uninstall - Adobe AIR is an add-on used by a lot of apps that may have nothing to do with Adobe.

Adobe Application Manager allows you to download and manage applications and licenses.

My beginner reading: http://macs.about.com/od/usingyourmac/qt/Fix-Spod-How-To-Fix-A-Spinning-Pinwheel --Death.htm says that file permissions are automatically repaired now with El Captain but that before that perhaps they should be "repaired" after updates or the spinning Rainbow wheel can appear.  I get the spinning wheel on entry just after put the password in and clicking on (but it's fast and not annoying) but worrying to see nonetheless.

What are the file permissions?  Are they connected to the wheel that turns that I see at the time of the process, as it happens, or do I not to worry it is appearing briefly and then in endangered?
