  How can I configure a PDF Export Preset to force a line weight minimum on output?  I am currently using one that comes from a printer that works fine - but I can't seem to find the option when you create one myself.  I have some place of the line art Illustrator which is built with the thickness of ligne.25 and when I put 20% across the lines are too thin to see in the output PDF.

  If you want a pdf output file and automatically have the text converted vectorised text, you can make yourself a new Preset of the PDF,

  then make a new preset, choose an original format such that X - 1a: 2001

  then on the Advanced tab, choose custom for transparency. and you can select 'convert all text in text converted to outlines.

  Since firefox recently updated, .pdf files when clicked, either on the web or e-mail opens a box that says save file or open the file. Firefox updated and it does ask me again, just immediately try to download. I do not use any .pdf add on via Firefox, I tried one today, but it does not always help.   Hi Matt, sometimes the application's preferences end up with multiple entries, some under 'Adobe Acrobat... "and the other under" Portable Document Format (PDF).

  If you have fiddled with all those who, without success, the settings file that stores these associations may has been corrupted. You can rename or delete and have Firefox regenerate. Here's how:

  Open your current Firefox settings (AKA Firefox profile) folder using

  Help > troubleshooting information > "view file" button.

  Leave this window open, activate any Firefox window and quit the program (for example, the file menu > exit or Firefox menu > Exit)

  Pause while Firefox finishing his cleaning, then rename the mimeTypes.rdf to something like mimeTypes.old

  Restart Firefox. Your likely PDF preferences will be reset to the internal PDF Viewer, but you can always turn on 'ask '.

  Sorry for the trouble. Are there any error messages? This problem occurs in other projects? Have you tried signing of Clip and signing back in? Can you also please share what version of the Clip you have installed?

• Hue/Saturation adjustment layer, won't save presets

  When I add a Hue/Saturation adjustment layer, and then change the layers I can then save the preset and call it for example call it gold. In the next image, I'm working on the preset is always there to choose from, but when I restart photoshop his party! • Creation and encoder will not import or save presets?

  Hi, I'm working on a Windows 7 based computer. Since about two updates ago, I was not able to import or save settings predefined. If I save a preset it does not appear on the list and the video settings are still reported to be "custom". Import presets in first or encode does nothing. Update of the list is also not it gives me an error.

  Nobody knows what could happen? I need to render a large batch of videos, and this is not going to work.

  My problem ended up to be resolved in the cat in. The represented has renamed two records AppData for Adobe, which solved the problem.

  The Solution-

  "Optimize for fast Web view" seems to be the issue.

  Note: When you clear this option the PDF becomes color much longer but no worse. I found if you also uncheck "Preserve Illustrator functions" and "Create Acrobat layers from top-level layers" thus while the size of the file goes back down a little bit.

  Optimize checked = 183 k

  Optimize unchecked = 923 k

  Optimize, maintain and layers unchecked = 566 k

  However, none of this helps once the PDF file is displayed because the user can back up by using the PDF Viewer. There is no security that can stop a PDF to be saved, shared, copied and sent by electronic mail.

  I'm now trying to define a "Preset" for the PDF export process... it is based on the "high quality Print" (preset from the Adobe PDF list), and then I want to change the settings of "one or two".

  Changing one or two parameters is easy, I've done it already, but given that most of them is already defined by the "high quality Print" Preset, my idea was:

  1. Load the Preset 'high quality '.
  2. And after that, change the required parameters
  3. And then export to PDF, of course!

  How is that possible?

  There are basically two location of pdfExportPresets:

  app folder - "/ c/ProgramData/Adobe/Adobe%20PDF/Settings/presetName.joboptions".

  user folder - "~ / AppData/Roaming/Adobe/Adobe%20PDF/Settings/presetName.joboptions".

  You are able to change those 2nd or duplication with those of 1st (copy of the app folder goes to the folder of the user).

  So step 1 is to reproduce some app preset at user folder (say, change your name)

  and call this copy one be changed by the script.

  To duplicate it using:

  currPreset = app.pdfExportPresets.item("[High Quality Print]").duplicate();
  currPreset.name = "myHResPreset";
  

  After this, you can change the 1st line of your script:

  myPDFExportPreset=app.pdfExportPresets.item("myHResPreset");
  

  and run your code

• In windows Vista 32-bit, printing .pdf save as .prn - pdf will not be printed, why?

  I am running Windows Vista 32 bit and when you try to print a .pdf file, it will not be printed, but I get the prompt to save it to a .prn file.  Never had a problem printing before Adobe .pdf.  How can I solve this?

  I created a Word document with the image of the logo of my company at the top, but when I save it as a PDF in Acrobat X logo is not visible. The image is still there, though, it is replaced with just a box. Any suggestions?

  Turn on great images in view in the preferences. You might consider to reduce the display resolution in PDF creation tool at approximately 300 or 600 dpi (I use 300). The default value is 1200. That could help.

  I have another question:

  I ended up pretty well a purchase order, and I even went so far that it allows "extended characteristics" so that other people can save their form filled in order, but I found a few problems after I did:

  (1) I noticed that once you save the PDF, buttons (print, send e-mail) which are listed as 'Visible - screen only' make their appearance, even though they shouldn't be.

  (2) text that should have been 'hidden' under certain conditions is re-appearance.

  (3) I have also two pages that disappear if a checkbox is enabled, but when I save the PDF, they come back, even if the box is always checked.

  Any advice?

  My guess is that in the tab form of file/properties/parameters by default, the script to preserve changes to form what saved option button is not set to automatic.
