• NAVE of Nikon D7100 Issues with APE11

  I have a Nikon D7100 and Adobe Photoshop elements 11.  The problem is that the software does not recognize the NEF files.  Doing some research, I downloaded the DNG Converter, but it does not recognize the NEF files.  I tried updating the software of PSE11 but I get a "the update server is not responding... ""Error Code U41M1C212.  I tried updates for the version of Camera Raw.  My software is version 7.1. Aparently I need at least version 7.4 and has 8.0 or more available.  I can't find any version above 7.1.  I have no idea where he is.  I think it's probably an easy fix and just missing the obvious.  Also, I have no idea why the DNG Converter does not recognize the files as well.

  I bought some APE11 so I could work with RAW files.  One mistake that I made, it's that I never used RAW files when I had the trial version.  I've always used JPEG files.

  For the D7100 you do indeed need ACR 7.4.

  I hope that the advice given by R_Kelly above should help you update your PES 11.

  If you have downloaded/installed the latest DNG Converter 8.1, then who should recognize the NEF files. If this isn't the case, please check that you do not use of old Nikon software to import the images - it is known to cause the problem.

  Otherwise, the DNG format works on folders - you it must point to the folder containing the images not a file.

• Adobe issues after a SMC reset

  I have a subscription Adobe CC and the bridge is an important part of my workflow. I had major problems with kernel_task is taking too much CPU resources - up to 1200% of the CPU - often, and I took advice and reset my SMC.

  This seems to have contributed to the question of the CPU, but now I can load is no longer bridge. I click on it and it bounces and disappears. I have opened a thread to Adobe but had no response so far, but clearly the reset caused a problem. I deleted the app, cleaned of the library (or anything else I could find) restarted and reinstalled everything to nothing does not.

  Does anyone have ideas, what is the problem or solution?

  And now I just tried to add the font of last resort and it downloads in the downloads folder as a ZIP, but when I click on it to enlarge it tells me that there is no file or directory as 'Downloads' - the directory it's in! A trashed SMC permissions any? I checked and corrected these before Terminal.

• When my computer tries to update ADOBE I have error 1648?

  Your question indicates multiple problems and provides very little information to diagnose one of them.

  1 adobe.  Presumably, you mean that Adobe Reader free.  Probably the best way to deal with the problems of Adobe Reader is uninstall it from Control Panel > Add / Remove programs.  You can then download and install one of the following 3 options:

  • The latest version of Adobe Reader, 10.0.1, available here: http://get.adobe.com/reader/
  • The last update to the previous version of the software Adobe Reader, 9.4, available here: http://get.adobe.com/reader/otherversions/
  • FoxIt Reader, available here: http://www.foxitsoftware.com/pdf/reader/addons.php

  Adobe Reader X (10.0.1) introduced the "Protected Mode" which is supposed to be safer but gave no problems.  This is why you can use the version 9.4.  On the other hand, a lot of posters in these forums recommend FoxIt Reader as an application much less resource intensive and much less intrusive to read pdf files.

  If you download one of the Adobe Reader installers, remember to uncheck the box to include McAfee Security Scan.

  2 iTunes.  It is unlikely that a problem to update Adobe Reader has nothing to do with iTunes or CD burning.  It seems that if you have recently made an update to iTunes, but without the version number (help > about iTunes) and especially the message of the complete error which displays iTunes, it is not possible to help.  In all cases, you should ask iTunes questions here: http://discussions.apple.com/forum.jspa?forumID=792

  3 burn CDs.  Again, you must provide the full text of the error message.  If the problem of CD burning only if you use iTunes, see #2 above.  Otherwise, after return with the error message that you get and how you try to burn the CD.

  I am trying to install Adobe Reader with Windows 7.  The installation fails with an error 1303 tent access to c:\Program files (x 86) \common files\adobe\1.0.   I tried to log in as an administrator. No luck.

  Just got my Nikon D5 five days ago and I have the following problem:

  (1) Lightroom does not recognize the raw (.nef) files created by my Nikon D5. When I try to import into Lightroom, each icon file says that the file is not supported.

  (2) after shooting with my Nikon D5, Lightroom metadata has each goal (all Nikkor) I use listed as unknown goal.

  I use a Macbook Pro computer with MAC software up-to-date. (Mac OS - X El Captain v.10.11.4).

  Lightroom is up-to-date with today ' hui - Lightroom version: 6.5 [1067055].

  Nobody knows where the problem lies - Nikon, Adobe or Apple?

  Not an Adobe issue at all. If you want your files to a single digit (1-9) to appear before the 10, you must add a zero at the beginning.

• Issue of frame rates

  When I playback video clips in the source window and chronology, they are stuttering and audio is slowed. This began to happen on a new project, but then I opened an older one which had been very well and it does the same thing. Any ideas?

  Thank you, but it turns an Adobe issue. Once I installed the updates, videos played correctly.

• Nikon D700 on the problem of the exhibition

  After firing shots in the open last week, I found most all the strokes about 1/3 to a standstill more exposed on my Nikon D700.  I did some research, and everyone seems to be pointing towards the camera.  As a fairly new LR convert, I went back to Nikon Capture NX2 to see if I found the same thing over exposure and didn't.  I do not jump to conclusions, but it seems that LR has problems with the Capture.

  I am interested if anyone else has done the same test and found the same results.  I LOVE LR and used much recently for concert performance works as portrait work, but these sunburn seemed too much for LR.

  A few things to check, just to make sure that:

  • When you import in Lightroom in the dialogue of import, top-right, 'Apply when importing', 'Develop settings' is set to 'None '.  I think you said so, but just making sure.
  • LeModifiermenu, preferences, presets, Lightroom "Apply auto tone settings" is NOT checked.
  • Module of Lightroom development, menu to develop, set the default (just to be sure), then click on "Restore default Adobe settings"
  • In the develop module, bottom right, Calibration of the camera, 'Profile', start with "Standard" (not Adobe standard).  Camera Standard should be pretty close to profile type of photo Nikon, Adobe Standard is quite different.
  • When you shoot, you have a profile defined in the camera picture adjustment?  In other words, anything other than the standard with the default settings?  If so, this will create a difference between NX2 (who then reads the profile photo and applies settings during raw conversion) and Adobe software (which ignores them).
  • Is the screen correctly calibrated/profiled with a hardware colorimeter?  I mean Spyder, an eye, etc. of Huey.  Without monitor calibrated/profile sometimes different programs can make the images differently.

  Here is the immediate things I can think who might explain systematic differences between the way NX2 and Lightroom render raw NEF images.

• Alpha channel images displays incorrect colors. Need help ASAP! I have samples

  After that update recently in CS 2015.3 which is weird, as I already had CC2015.3, there seems to be a problem with my graphic images of sequelae. The color is now off. I used these graphics in first pro projects before this update without problem. Now without further changes to the sequence, the graphics have all color issues. What is the Adobe issue?   as you may or may not know - he recently was a security update which States that Quicktime player is not safe for windows: it's probably not safe to use Quicktime on Windows more. Gizmodo UK and I think that's the reason why Adobe put in place the ability to import and export some QT Codecs without whether it is installed. That being said, there was also a notion that the player is not sure and the essential elements can remain on your system. You can use a lot of players that is not QT, such as VLC Player. and as I suppose - it is a BUG. It is not supposed to happen. and it's a hypothesis because unless you remove Quicktime and check - we do not know if this problem is solved (I used this term and not "solve" because it is a temporary solution) the question. of course, this is advice from a user like you and use it at your own discretion, as suggestions in the forums.

• Transfer license between Windows and Mac CS5

  I just buy a new Mac and need to understand how to use my CS5 Windows software on my Mac.  I don't have the money to buy the monthly subscription and since I spent so much money on the software, I need to find a way to use it on my Mac.

  Can Adobe issue a new license number, so that I can install on my Mac?  I'm not going to use it on another computer, my old PC is caput.  Thanks for any direction you can give me, I need to get up and running as soon as POSSIBLE.

• Problems using PDF on some devices

  Hi, hoping someone can help. This might not even be an Adobe issue but I thought I'd ask.

  I have recently release a downloadable pdf. In the pdf file are tables that allow the user to enter data and they are doing some simple calculations.

  It works fine on iPhone, iPad and Android 6 +... but I get customers coming back cannot be used on their iPhone 6s. This seems to be the only way out.

  I don't know that it's a matter of apple, Adobe or where I have added encryption/no copies etc.

  The message they get is either.

  "This document is protected. Some changes may not be allowed.

  Or

  "restricted document. This tool is not available because of the security settings for the documents'

  I guess that's something I did when I downloaded it.

  Hi Phil,

  seems that your iPhone 6s users try to use commenting tools to change the shape. Ask them if they can type on a form directly field to enter data.

  Acrobat Reader on mobile devices does not comment (text markup, free text, drawing, etc.) on the encrypted documents.

  I hope that this response will help you solve the problem.
