  I had about 200 tabs grouped together in about 30 groups of 31.0 Firefox (latest version). The Group appeared when I clicked on the icon to the left of the button "minimize" or press CTRL + SHIFT + E. It is called "your Firefox tabs - group". I also use Xmarks, but I have disabled Synchronization tab recently.

I ran a 'full system test' in Avast! latest updates, which is the deeper analysis that I know (without my laptop HP ProBook 4730 s restaring). No viruses were found.

  I'm suspecting a program called 'Research Protect' version 2.16.10.61 'Client Connect Ltd. It was installed with PowerISO 6.0 x 64.

  I tried to run the system restore, but it seems that all the restore points I ever created are now deleted! I discovered this by opening the system properties-> system-> system restore Protection. However, 'Protection' is 'On' for my system disk.

  How can I restore my tabs and groups? It is extremely important for me.

  I think I know where are the missing tabs. They seem to be in my sessionstore-backups, in the file upgrade.js file - 20150630154324. I've isolated this file in a folder on my desktop, in order to ensure that it is not to change somehow.

  I tried to rename it, as previous.js, recovery.bak, and recovery.js, but that does not restore my lost tabs. Exactly what should I do to restore it?

  You can copy a file in the sessionstore-backup folder to the main profile with closed Firefox application and rename sessionstore.js file to replace the current file (make a backup of the current sessionstore.js).

  Make sure that you do not click the X close in the title bar like that closes the active window with all the tabs.

  If you have the tab bar visible then click the X close this tab or mid, tab, or use the shortcut Ctrl + W key to close the tab.

  Try all of the following conditions:

  Try to reset all the settings in the settings under general app and in the right column under restore.

  Try stories reset and delete/reset the caches in all web browsers you use.
  If you use Safari, these features may be in the application settings under Safari.
  Other browsers have their settings inside the running application itself.

  If your iPad has been activated for iCloud, in the application settings under iCloud, to the right, under iCloud Drive, type in iCloud drive and make sure that Safari is off to save data from Safari to iCloud by car.

  Also, under iCloud in the application settings, in iCloud Drive, turn the feature off saving for all other desired apps DO NOT the data automatically on iCloud drive.

  If you are using Safari is always causing issues.

  In the right panel, look under accessibility, look to reduce the Motion and turn this feature "On".
  You should see a significant performance increase on all models of iPad 2, 3 and 4.

  In the application settings under the general tab, in the right column, search background App update and enable this setting to "off".

  Try a reset of your iPad by simultaneously pressing buttons Home and sleep/wake button until your iPad goes to the dark and restarts with the Apple logo, then release the buttons.

  Thank you very much for your reply, I use windows 8.1! I found the problem: to install the new version installation needs the program old installation (but I have remove all the installer, because they use a place a lot on hard drive (SSD)).

  I have uninstall all Adobe and reinstalled, I save the full installer on an external drive. When the installer asked the former installer I indicate to programm my drive external and everything works fine now.

  Thanks so much for your help, I just do not delete the old file (sad having to save old installler just to install the new).

  It's a temporary profile Windows, not Firefox's fault, but something (perhaps a windows update, they unrolled a bunch today) corrupted your Windows profile. http://www.sysprobs.com/fix-temporary-profile-Windows-7 can help you, it will also bring back your Firefox data.

  FFox crashed, when the window came upward to choose the tabs to close and then to restore the remaining tabs, I accidentally kick start new session so I lost all the tabs and tab groups, the opening of the new window of firefox. In disbelief that this actually happened, I closed then this new firefox window and then again firefox in the hope that it was something of a fluke, but it's still a new session without any of my old tabs or groups.

  Just a thought.

  I don't use Windows much, but there is a recent feature to restore the previous files. IIRC that works on some profile files. It may be worth a try, try to recover files from sessionstore, but ensure you backup anything you have first of all in a safe and different place.

  You can run the Troubleshooter to library and check. You can also run the Windows Media player settings Troubleshooter and check if it helps.

  I suggest to fix the Windows Media database as it might have become corrupted.

  Method 1: To do this, follow these steps:

  a. exit Windows Media Player.

  b. for Windows 7: click Start, run, %LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft\Media Player and then click on OK.

  c. Select all files in the folder and then click on Delete on the file menu.

  Note: You don't have to remove the folders that are in this folder.

  d. restart Windows Media Player.

  Note: Windows Media Player automatically rebuilds the database.

  Method 2: If this does not resolve the problem, disable the Windows Media Player database cache files. To do this, follow these steps:

  a. exit Windows Media Player.

  b. If you run Windows 7, click Start, run, % LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft, and then click OK.

  c. Select the folder Media Playerand then click delete on the file menu.

  d. restart Windows Media Player.

  Note: Windows Media Player automatically rebuilds the database.

• Shockwave Flash Player crashes

  Used FF exclusively for years. Installed new FF recently, started by a script message does not respond, what led to the crash of Adobe Shockwave Flash Player message ever time I try to do anything. Tried to install the latest version, in fact, crashed during installation! Tried resetting FF, in addition to breaking. It became problematic for all work at all. I have noticed that a lot of people with this problem have talked about switching to chrome, may have to do the same.

  I said several times that Flash was f ' n ridiculous to work with Firefox and most of the questions on this support site are due to this piece of crap Flash. Mozilla is building an alternative for Flash called Shumway. It is not available for daily use but is available in the night compilation very early (not enabled by default)
