    This forum is not for free photo editor for people, it's to help with the real problems of Photoshop and how to use Photoshop and tips to find and use the tools, etc..

  • Captivate 5 edition error message: not enough memory

    Hello

    I am during the test program for use in our society, and I fight about this error message in Captivate.

    I ask the question here in hopes that someone has an idea if this error message is a problem of my workstation, or an Adobe Captiva 5 problem:

    errormessage_captivate.PNG

    This message occurs when to publish the swf file, after compression and insertion of labels of swf file, and save the swf file (according to the messages in the progress bar from publish window).

    The project conditions

    • 20 slides
    • Each slide contains about 5 s of captured full motion video and audio
    • 10 text captions, some zoom and 3 text animations

    I use

    • Adobe Captivate 5 (test)
    • Windows XP SP3 (Dell Latitude E6410, Core i5, 4 GB RAM)

    Tried to change some settings, close the programs, restart. Still the same message.

    This isn't a real system, old or weak. I use other programs successful here with huge images and videos, and of course I get an upgrade of the company's computer for that, this post is the last chance for the program...; (o)

    Thanks for all the ideas...

    Ulrich

    Try to uncheck the options in preferences > SWF and the quality of compression SWF size and see if that allows you to publish correctly.  Sometimes one of these preferences can trigger this type of error on a given hardware configuration.  First of all try to uncheck both, so if it works, try to tick, one at a time to see if any compression option is open to you.

  • Problem of memory on p7-1451 product # H3Z32AA #ABA Pavilion A10 26 GB of memory (16 GB nine)

    I got a new computer for Christmas. P7-1451 A10 processor and 10 GB of memory running Windows 8. I have 25 years as a service technician. I bought and installed 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) in the memory of housing 2 and 4 which gives the total of 26 GB system. I do a lot of video recode and editing so wanted as much memory as possible. However, the system has decided it must place all 16 GB in the reserve of equipment. Now the system is memory hungry when I conducted a heavy load video (edit-recode) see attachedment... http://i1276.Photobucket.com/albums/y468/ur122/OFFICEPC/memoryassignment_zpsd30354cc.PNG

    Well, the problem and the cause was discovered. I have over 22 years as a technology service/construction and with all that experience, I am not mistaken most. Well, not as much as I use anyway. Here's how it went down. I spent the better part of 4 hours, check the memory specifications go into my new computer. I was very careful to make sure that all aspecs of memory has been a perfect match. Memory, I chose to buy was not the cheapest but is what I regarded as a great buy. And when I installed it, it appeared in the bios as being correct. Also, she functioned as dual channel ect. ect ect. It also showed in the resource monitor as working as it should. But he had been placed in reserve of equipment for some reason any. All the 16 GB was devoted to the material? However, when the system was put under load, the 16 GB new memory simply disappeared from the system. When placed under load, there is a system crash from memory, they told me. Even if it was a perfect match and showed in the bios and the resource monitor, it wasn't an exact match of the installed memory. No one can explain what was different, but I know now that it wasn't the good memory. I talked with people, I bought it from and they agreed that it was the same thing and should work, but agree now that it was a difference that they cannot identify. So I sent the brief to the United Kingdom (bought on EBay) for credit. Years, I bought memory from Crucial.com in Idaho (State of) and so I sent them an E-mail asking info about new memory for the p7-1451. The next day, they sent me links to what I needed and directed me to a small program that would run on my computer and direct me to a game perfect memory for my system. They guarantee it 100% on all memory their match Department software or tech. It is what I should have done in the first place and saved a lot of work. Yesterday, the memory arrived. I bought a pair of sticks of 8 GB and one 8 GB stick to go with the 8 GB that came with the system. I removed the key to 2 GB factory completely. I placed the pair where the sticks Go 8 & 2 original. I placed the original 8 GB stick into the open slot and paired with the key of 8 GB that I bought. This gave me a total of 32 GB of memory to the system. I pluged it in and turned on and WALA 32 GB showed in the bios mode dual channel. I welcomed the system starts and went at once to the resource monitor and there was all 32 GB of memory and arranged as it should have throughout. Apparently, all memory is not equal even if all the specs show it as being the same. Crucial was the best memory on the market for years. Yes, it was more expensive, but it was a perfect match (guaranteed) by Crucial. Total cost for memory with shipping was $ 140.00. The memory I bought originally was $83.00 PLUS delivery charges. The former said: "you get what you pay for" ensure that rings true here. At full load, (re-encode a video, make an overall picture of the HDD, playback of Netflix in HD) just slows down the system at all. I'm now a fan of HP p7-1451 solid, they rock gentlemen. It is a screamer with the video card of 4 GB instead of start, the memory is all there for use. See the link below for the layout of the memory under load - its amazing.

  • 2 questions about short mp3 files playback

    I am installing a Snd simple class to encapsulate the sound effects, I can do this:

    SND sound = new Snd ();

    sound.throwSwitch ();   Plays a switch short audio mp3

    So, after reviewing the RIM and other examples of Iam work try this:

    import java.io.InputStream;
    Javax.microedition.media import. *;

    public class {Snd

    Private player player;

    Find the supported content types
    public static final String types [] = Manager.getSupportedContentTypes (null);

    public void throwSwitch() {}
    Makes a click
    for (cnt int = types.length - 1; cnt > = 0; cnt-) {}
    If (types [cnt].equals("audio/mpeg")) {}
    try {}
    Get the MP3 file
    Class clazz = Class.forName ("net.berrysoft.dib.sound");
    InputStream is = clazz.getResourceAsStream ("switch.mp3");
    InputStream is = getClass () .getResourceAsStream ("switch.mp3");

    Create an instance of the reader of the InputStream
    Reader = javax.microedition.media.Manager.createPlayer (, "audio/mpeg" "");
    Player.Realize ();
    Player.prefetch ();
    Player.Start ();            Start the player
    Manager.playTone (0 x 45, 2000, 100);
    } catch (Exception e) {}
    e.printStackTrace ();
    }
    }
    } / / end: for
    }

    }

    but I don't get all the sounds.  I checked that the mp3 format is supported and loaded the sound of my press card and he played like a ring tone without problem.

    What could I do it wrong?

    Second question is that in the past (other languages), I had two ways to play a sound... one as a "one-shot" meaning not listened and streaming (used for sounds at large to hold entirely in memory).  In Java there is this distinction?  It seems that the above code transmissions my sound, but she is so short, she could be held entirely in memory.  It is played only once (at the start), but I wonder given it's such an effect short if there is a better way.

    Patrick

    Here is an example that works. In the example, the generated COD file is com_foo_Foobar, Foobar is the root for the COD file directory and Foobar.java is the main application class. The MP3 is at the root of the directory "/" the COD file. Notice the "Class.forName" call and how not intuitive that the root is specified in the parameter of this string. It took me quite a few tries until I thought about it.

        public void play()
        {
            if (m_player != null){
                stop();
            }

            try {
                Class cl = Class.forName("com.foo.Foobar.Foobar");
                InputStream input = cl.getResourceAsStream("/foonoise.mp3");
                m_player = Manager.createPlayer(input,"audio/mpeg");
                m_player.realize();
                m_volumeControl = getVolumeControl(m_player);
                if (m_volumeControl != null)
                    m_volumeControl.setLevel(m_volume);
                m_player.prefetch();
                m_player.start();
            }
            catch (Exception e){
                System.out.println("ERR: " + e.toString());
            }
        }

  • Video memory in VM

    When you add video memory to a virtual machine is that come out of it is the allocation of ram?  So, if you have given a machine with 2 GB of ram and 256 MB for the video.  It will be only 1.75 GB of RAM?

    Hello.

    No, it is added to the overload memory to the virtual machine. You can check this by selecting a virtual machine and displaying the overload memory on the summary edit the virtual machine video memory tab, and then check the value of General memory.

    Good luck!

  • Virtual machine consumes memory allocated all

    I have 4 ESXi 4.1 on Dell PE R610 servers. I used the installation ISO Dell from their support site media to install ESXi 4.1.

    I noticed that all virtual machines consume all the memory allocated to it.

    In other words, if I look at the memory of all resource allocation the VM is private.

    It has no memory shared to do so.

    I did not make reservations for the virtual machines.

    Someone at - it other ideas as to why this could happen?

    Thank you

    This "problem" has been discussed a lot already, see threads like these:

    http://communities.VMware.com/message/1487356#1487356

    In short:

    ESX 4.x use large memory pages by default. Find duplicates MB 2 pages for GST is almost impossible with them. You can set the Advanced setting mem.allocguestlargepage to 0 if you want to force the use of small pages, but ESX breaks down large pages under contention memory itself.

  • Nik Efex Pro 4 very slow LR 3.5 and 3.6

    My computer is a 27 "iMac 2.93 GHz i7 with 16 GB of DRAM running OS X Lion (10.7.2).

    Versions of the software used for the test: opening 3.2.2 Lightroom 3.5 x 64, Lightroom 3.6 x 64, Photoshop CS5 12.0.4 x 64, Color Efex Pro 4.001 x 64.

    I think Nik Color Efex Pro 4 is very slow when "Edit In" from Lightroom is used to access the plug-in or stand-alone application.  This is a technical question, which I presented in support of the Nik.  I have not heard of them yet, but I thought it would be a good idea to post here.  Maybe someone has the same problem and knows a solution...

    = message to Support technique Nik =.

    Image used in the tests is an of a Digital Rebel XT 8-megapixel image.  The image was taken in 2006.

    If I select "Edit In" in Lightroom, choose Color Efex Pro 4, wait the preview display, and then select the fog filter it takes 2 minutes and 39 seconds on the 'calculation' go away and the image to be presented.

    If I select "Edit In" and chose Color Efex Pro 4 app delay is similar, that is a VERY long time.

    In no time my free RAM dropped below 10 GB.  In no time my CPU usage will more than 20%.

    If I select "Edit In" and chose Photoshop CS5 and then use the plugin CS5 it takes less than 3 seconds for the calculation to go away.

    If I use the Color Efex Pro plug-in in 4 aperture, version 3.2.2 times are similar to those in Photoshop CS5, which is very fast.

    The time interval is too short to get an accurate measure of memory and CPU usage in CS5 and opening

    What is causing this discrepancy?  This excessive delay - which exists when a filter is adjusted, changed, etc. a lot of essentially useless from Lightroom filters.

    Nik worked on that problem?  You have a solution?  If this isn't the case, I expect a resolution in the near future?  Surely, this has been reported before.

    ===

    UPDATE:

    I received an email of Nik response.  They acknowledged that this problem has been known "a small amount of time in the past" and went on to say that maybe it's duplicate fonts.

    I replied that I have not all fonts in duplicate so that isn't the problem. Now waiting on their reply.

    UPDATE:

    Nik reacted very quickly.  They completely admitted that this problem has been reported several times recently and their development team is "working on it".

    As well as many suggestions - which has indicated that with the exception of paragraph first, it's a boilerplate answer - should be making sure that your video card is up-to-date and supported.

    Their first paragraph suggests forcing the CEfex Pro 4.0 app to run in 32-bit mode.  It worked - the slow descent of the Efex app running LR has disappeared - at least on my system.

  • Satellite L20: Need hardware specifications

    Hi all. I bought my system on 23 December and am really enjoying the use of the laptop. However, it seems that my system does not meet the specifications, it is said that he should have. Namely the memory. Care that I have 256 MB of ram if Everest home edition said 190 MB of memory total. See below:

    --------[ Memory ]---------------------------------------

    Physical memory:
    Total 190 MB
    Used 170 MB
    Free 19 MB
    Use 90%

    Swap space:
    Total 344 MB
    Used 277 MB
    Free 66 MB
    Use 81%

    Virtual memory:
    Total 534 MB
    Used 448 MB
    Free 85 MB
    Use 84%

    Problems & Suggestions:
    Suggestion install more system memory to improve performance of applications.

    Also was no DVD supermulti. I have the dvd rom/cdwriter. Is it possible that the model I have has been suspended? Only memory is not really enough for Windows XP.

    Thank you

    Larry

    Hi Laurent,.

    The disparity with you reports that RAM is usually as a result of the RAM shared with the graphics card (usually 64 MB). The result is that there are 192 MB remaining for the use of the system and that's what your version of Everest reports. It is quite normal for the laptops that use a shared video memory.

    In my view, the minimum specifications for Windows XP are 128 MB, but I agree with you that a higher value would be more beneficial. ;)

    Unfortunately you don't say exactly what version you have the L20 (usually L20 - xxx), but I suggest you check the specs on the Toshiba web site.

    I hope you continue to enjoy your L20 and welcome to the forum :)

  • Re: Vista Ultimate - should I not have upgraded?

    I called support last night that I was unable to add memory to my PC laptop, had the correct memory etc, I asked about the upgrade to Ultimate and told me it was a good idea because Premium takes just 3g of memory.

    I've improved, just phoned the helpline to ask if they are able to edit my profile here, so I can't download 64 bit updates and it told me that my machine will not work fine on ultimate, is it true?

    Thanks in advance

    Processor type: Intel® Pentium® Dual - Core Processor T2370

    As your laptop is already preinstalled with a version of Vista, it is not correct, that it does not work well on your machine.
    It has some features, mainly for administrators or advanced users, but it can all be disabled or just don't use them.

    But, for the use of any memory that you add to your machine, you don't need ultimate. Just make sure, you use a 64-bit operating system for example the Home Premium 64-bit edition.

    It could be, that you experience some incompatibilities with older hardware, but this is a rare case and I use it for almost a year and I'm really happy with it.
