  In General, the Windows key is the version of the OS installed on your laptop. I don't understand how you want to use the HARD drive on your desktop with a different hardware configuration.   As for the product key, it should be on a sticker on the laptop (usually on the bottom). If it is not readable, contact the manufacturer for further assistance. As we said already, the product key is not on the installation disc.

  Replace broken laptop optical drives is not too difficult, you can see this as another option.

  I deleted the profile folder a name randomly in c:/Users / [myuser] / AppData/Roaming/Mozilla/Firefox/Profiles and then I stuck to that of c:/Users / [myuser] / AppData/Local/Mozilla/Firefox/Profiles.
