Shower with Apple Watch

Is it acceptable to leave a watch on some time in the shower?

Apple do not recommend it. This is an excerpt from the Apple Watch user's Guide.  http://help.Apple.com/watch/#/apd707b42a5e

The following can affect Apple Watch water resistance and should be avoided:

  • Make fall Apple Watch or submit to other impacts.
  • Overwhelming Apple Watch in water for long periods of time.
  • Swim or bathe with Apple Watch.
  • Apple Watch Exhibitor slots pressure water or water high velocity, for example, showering, water ski, wake Board, surfing, jet skiing and so on.
  • Apple Watch port in the sauna or the hammam room.

  • Unlock Mac with Apple Watch stopped working

I upgraded my MacBook Pro to Sierra and my Apple Watch shows OS 3 - for a period of time the new feature release of my Mac with Apple Watch worked very well

He stopped and the option no longer appears in Settings/Security and confidentiality on the Mac - I suspect its because I had to change the password on my Apple ID - I think that if I could the closing of the session of this identifier on the watch and log back on it would start working again - but I don't see a way to check out of a Apple ID on the watch or the watch app on the iPhone (7plus)

I guess I have unfair and then re pair the watch with the phone but that seems a little drastic, so do it before, I thought that I would like to ask a question to the community in the case where someone knows a way to check out of your Apple ID on the watch I don't know - I tried searchingGoogle but cannot find anything on this topic

This seems to be fixed by my achievement and my Apple Watch with my iPhone repair - of course I don't know if it will happen again - I suspect (and its only that) is the problem has been caused by my change the password on my Apple ID - but when I went to watch outstanding I was asked for my password Apple ID and he accepted the new password

  • I still have to type my password after I enabled unlocking with Apple Watch.

Well, I did everything correctly. Or at least I think. But for some reason, my mac still asks me a password to unlock. As I opened the cover, I get the message "Unlock with Apple Watch". But he invites me just after my password.

Did someone else faced with something similar or is that what I'm doing wrong?

    Thank you

    I have the same question.

I filled all the criteria and even turned off the FileVault nothing helps. The MacBook Pro (with OS Sierra end 2013) seems to want to "" be unlocked, but the watch (1st generation with OS 3) shows absolutely no sign of communication with the Mac. All devices are on the same wifi and Bluetooth is turned on.

    I give up!

  • You can swim or shower with the watch

You can swim or shower with the watch?

    Hello

Non - Apple advises that you perform one of the people.

Apple Watch is splash and resistant to water, but it is not waterproof. You can, for example, wear and use Apple Watch during the year, in the rain and all washing their hands. Overwhelming Apple Watch, however, is not recommended. The watch must also be dry if it is wet.

Apple advises specifically, for example, the following can affect Apple Watch water resistance and should be avoided:

    • Exposing Apple Watch into water under pressure, including under the shower.
    • Swim or bathe with Apple Watch.
    • Overwhelming Apple Watch in water for long periods of time.
    • Apple Watch port in the sauna or the hammam room.

Water resistance is not a permanent state, and Apple Watch cannot be rechecked or closed for resistance to water.

    As a result:

    Hi guys,.

I need help here.  I'm on macOS Sierra on a MacBook Pro (retina, 13 inches, end of 2013).  I actually had auto unlock with my Apple Watch two days ago.  But then I did a stupid thing yesterday and had to restore the MacBook OSX Maverick and re-upgrade to Sierra.  I can't activate longer auto unlock with Apple Watch now and it's really frustrating.

Thanks in advance for your help.

  • 2SV v. 2FA for Auto unlock with Apple Watch

Try to set up the auto unlock with Apple Watch on my MacBook Air (fall 2013) after the installation of Sierra. Get this message:

    Off the 2SV using applied.apple.com

... and still get the same message "2FA is required" box "Security & Privacy".

    What I am doing wrong?

P.S., rescue email Apple ID has not yet been verified, because it belongs to my sister who lives in a very different time zone, but I don't see how this should matter for the automatic implementation of release.

The message is mainly to tell you that you must enable two-factor authentication, is not that you should disable 2SV. You will need to disable 2SV before you can activate 2FA.

You should always activate 2FA it to AppleID.apple.com

I don't know why you don't see the option to activate 2FA here on the Security section. You have a device running El Capitan or later, or a device running iOS 9 or a later version in your list of devices?

    Hello

    • Your Mac and Apple Watch are connected to iCloud with the same Apple ID:
      • On your Mac, choose Apple () menu > System Preferences, and then click iCloud.
      • On your iPhone, open the Apple Watch app, then go to general > Apple ID.
    • Your Apple Watch uses a password:
      • On your iPhone, open the Apple Watch app, then type the access code.
    • Transfer procedure is enabled on your iPhone and your Mac:
      • On your iPhone, go to: settings > general > transfer procedure.
      • On your Mac, go to: System preferences > General - down, tick the option "Allow transfer between the Mac and your iCloud devices."
      • If these parameters are already enabled, a user has found that it helped to deactivate and reactivate the procedure of transfer on their iPhone.

I've activated automatic unlocking on my Mac (Macbook Air 6.1) successfully, I had my first gen Apple Watch upgraded to watch OS 3 and when I opened my Macbook, it says «Unlock with Apple Watch...» ». After a few seconds, however, I get a spinny wheel thought and then it expires and I get the password prompt. I tried to restart my Mac and my watch, but don't know what else to do here?

  • iPhone SE & 6 problems with Apple Watch of pairing

My iPhone 6 has done and continues to pair with Apple Watch; However, it will pair with the iPhone OS. It will start to pair up with the SE, but when you select the prompt to "Apple Watch configuration" message then indicating there is no pair. I have re-paired and unpaired with my iPhone 6 without any problem, so that tells me that there is a problem SE. I can pair the SE with my car and my macbook and I have no problem.

I started having this problem with my new iPhone SE. The Apple Watch already associated with my iPhone 5 and just improved to the SE. worked for about a week and matching seems to have started to somehow lose the connection. I can see the bluetooth icon on the iPhone lighting several times as if detected his watch but nothing. I'm trying to pair with the camera on the iPhone and place the watch in the viewfinder does nothing, it does not detect read / that sound here. I also did the manual of twinning with the code and the code never happened on the watch. I even reset the watch and phone and nothing.

  • Unlock with Apple Watch disappeared

After the upgrade to sierra today I wanted to turn the unlock with feature Apple Watch.

First of all I saw under security settings. Once turned on, I invited myself I go posting two-step verification of two factors. I did this, but when I tried to turn on the unlocking function again it did not show in the settings > Security? How is it.

I rebooted several times, as well as the loged out and in again once to iCloud on my mac.

Aid for the lists of system preferences, the release device is hidden, if the watch is not coupled.

To verify if your watch is always associated with iPhone and also check if the Bluetooth is always enabled on the Mac and watch.

After you have changed your two-factor authentication, restart the iPhone and restart the shows it to be near the matched iPhone; both devices must be signed in iCloud, using new two-factor authentication.
