When you use Windows Media Player I clicked on Windows Media Player Media Guide believing he'd help me using Media Player. Instead it turns out be a forum of advertiswing for online retailers.  I can't get rid of the thw Media Guide, and he takes the place of Windows Media Player, so I can't use it.  Help!.

    Hello

It has no customizable option in Windows Media Player to remove the media guide and the online store in Windows Media player 11. This is normal and there is no way, you can remove or disable it.

However, you can publish your proposal or information on the case you want to see it implemented in the future.

    I hope this helps.

  • How can I get rid of the media support is outdated question on the home page that appears each time you open Firefox?

Everytime I open Firefox there is a window that says "media player is out of date" and won't let me not go further until I close the window, and then reopen Firefox. When I try to update, it says that it does not work for Mac.

Please do NOT install this suggested MediaPlayer. This message is caused by an extension that I recommend withdrawal, following these steps:

Please try to disable all non-essential or unrecognized extensions on page modules. Either:

    • CMD + SHIFT + a
    • "3-bar" menu button (or tools) > Add-ons

In the left column, click Extensions. Then deal a critical look at the list on the right and, when in doubt, turn off (or delete). Especially if you find something called MediaPlayer. Keep in mind that all extensions are optional and none is included with Firefox when you get it first.

Often, a link will appear above at least an extension disabled to restart Firefox. You can complete your work on the tab and click one of the links in the last step.

  • Rectabgle gray + rectangle green appears on my desktop. How can I get rid off them?

I have windows 7 and have used this computer since 2009. I have never had any problems with it until a couple of weeks.

The computer got slow and I know that it is time for reformatted it, something that I don't "do it myself.  The computer tec, who built the computer to get a score in the computer so my information would be recorded on both sides. I had a business at the time.

When I have not shut down the computer during the night, it was hard to start the morning. I was in and that has changed now so he won't put the computer to sleep if I forgot to close.  I had to UN plug it to operate the next morning. I loaded down Panda antivirus and it found a virus that it removed.

In recent weeks I had that grey rectangle + a small green rectangle pop - up on my desk. In the grey box, it says 'Language' at the top, English is marked, lower than you have Italian, French, Spanish and Japanese. He said in the green box, select, previous, next, and Menu off.  I can't use "off menu" with my mouse or keys on the keyboard.  It's as if the boxes are floating above the keyboard. I wanted to include a photo and used a screenshot, but who did not take a photo of the boxes, only my counter top.

I take a picture with my camera.

I looked up, trying to find a solution and thought, what we call cela a language box. I went and changed to be invisible and hidden. That did not help.  Sometimes, when I restart my computer the boxes are there, sometimes not. If you do not call this a language box, I don't even know what to look for...

Today, my computer would no start up. I eventually found a message on the initialization failed. I managed to go and "grab set up to load by default and restart again".  I did a system repair disc and used on start up. The computer seems to start ok after that, but the boxes still appear. I also used the last restore point to see if it would help. This means that Panda got deleted so I installed it and I run a check again.

Is there an easy way to get rid of these unwanted boxes that block my bottom right of the computer?

I would be very grateful if someone can help me with this!

    Hello

    Please contact Microsoft Community.

Please follow the following suggestions to solve the problem.

Method 1: I wish that you start the computer in safe mode and try to check if the problem persists.

Step 1: See the link to start in safe mode.

    Startup options (including safe mode).

Step 2: If you are able to turn off the computer in safe mode, I suggest you perform the clean boot. See the link to perform the clean boot.

Note: Be sure to back up data that you want to keep before you start the defrag or wipe the hard drive.

Important: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you need to disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network, while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attack.

  • My files media-Cache-clogged my ssd drive. How can I get rid of them?

Hi, I have a few problems with my first Pro CS5 (with all the new free updates installed) on Windows 7 64 bit (up to date also). (I'm German btw. If that makes it easier to help you)

I just added a large number of videomaterial (SLR digital canon h264 fullhd) in my new project (dslr 1920 25 p) in first Pro CS5 and suddenly you have a lot of errors at the bottom right. The hard drive (my bootdisc) ran out of memory and I had only 6 MB left. I didn't know that I had the storageplace for the media cache files.

I immediately changed the two directories for these files after import has been over at my other big hard disks P: and clicked on something like "move the existing files. Unfortunately, this did not have the files to move and I've always had between 600 KB and 30 MB of space on my bootdrive.

Now, I deleted some other files since I can't access the folder to delete or move the files in cache-media-by myself. And I am logged on as an administrator. I'm afraid that my PC does not start with to little space on my ssd bootdrive left and am afraid to start again the CS5 first, since I don't have a lot of other things to delete if sth. won't again.

Does anyone have an idea how to solve this problem? How can I get rid of 50 GB of cache-files-media on C:? Please let me know if you do!

    Greetings,

    OLE

Since I've had 500 MB left I risked to restart the computer and files were deleted just by restarting I guess. Now, I'm still 18 GB free. Thanks a lot for your help! I deleted a file I accidentally created this way and now a gb. :-)

  • How can I get rid of the surf canyon Add ons when there is no option "delete"? I have it turned off, but it still appears on my desktop.

I get a window of surf canyon to appear on my desktop. I checked in my control panel and features program and it does not appear there. I checked in firefox, tools, add ons and, it seems, but it is disabled. There is no option to "remove" as there is for other add ons. And, even if it presents as being disabled, the window keeps popping up. How can I get rid of this?

According to a screen shot I've seen online, when you are in the Control Panel, uninstall a program, you are looking for is called Fast Search. It might be easier to click on the column heading "installed on" to bring the most recent infections, I mean additions, upward. I hope that here uninstallation will remove the Firefox and IE as well.

  • How can I get rid two tabs to open when I first open Firefox?

When I first open Firefox I get my home page in a tab, but also another tab opens. This one is set to Facebook. How can I get rid of the opening automatically second tab?

You get two pages if you launch a new window using either:

    • CTRL + n
    • button '3-bar' menu > new window

    If Yes:

Check the settings of your home page to see if you have several home tabs. A vertical bar (|) is used between the addresses. This article shows you where to check them in the Options dialog box: start-up, homepage, tabs and download settings. This article has more background on several tabs home: How to set the home page.

If not, or if the Options dialog box is correct:

Add-ons - can display tabs at startup or in a new window. If you check the address of the Facebook page, this is the URL to normal Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/) or to a different address?

Do you have any extensions related to Facebook? You can view, disable and often remove the extensions on page modules. Either:

    • CTRL + SHIFT + a
    • "3-bar" menu button (or tools) > Add-ons

In the left column, click Extensions. Then, when in doubt, turn off.

Often, a link will appear above at least an extension disabled to restart Firefox. You can complete your work on the tab and click one of the links in the last step.

    Any improvement?
