Sidebar in iTunes 12.4.3

I use iTunes 12.4.3.  I can't get the sidebar to appear.  See the side bar is grayed out when I click on display.  I must be missing something.

Which tab you are on top? Makes sure that 'My Music' is selected when you go to view > show sidebar

  • My new iPhone shows up under devices in the sidebar of iTunes, but I can't find the summary screen

I googled several fixes, but none of them work.  My phone appears under devices, but no summary screen.  I just had on the phone yesterday and he restored the old phone.  I want to be able to select certain playlist to have this phone, etc..  Summary screen was easy to show everything I needed to know or change.  How to display summary screen?

Yes, I made sure I have the latest version of iTunes.  Yes, it is connected via the port usb and visible in the devices.  No, when I right click on the device it shows a summary option, just eject, restore, sync etc.

See the boxed area in my screenshot:

That's what you click on, not on the name of the device in the sidebar.

    help please?

I've been manually uploading photos from iphone 5 s for my Airbook.  More recently, on July 12, because pictures taken on my phone appear on my Mac until this date.  Now, when I connect via USB, my iphone 5s does not appear in the sidebar of Photos.

Just today, iTunes asked if I want to go to iOS 9.3.4.  I did not take it.

Also, my iPhone syncs with iTunes and no appears in the sidebar of iTunes.

Could you hid it. If you see the topic "Import" in the side bar move your mouse about the area of the arrow in the image below, it should then reveal the option 'display '.

  • iTunes: removal of the Genius Mix

Hi, I'm currently under iTunes 12.3 and I would like to know if it is possible to delete 'Genius Mix' in the sidebar under "library".

I read that Genius is related to using iCloud music library, but I have been using Apple music and iCloud music library for the past 6 months and I have genius bothers me not at all until last week, when 'Mix Genius' appeared in my sidebar in iTunes.

I remember that, in the past, it was possible to simply go to the Preferences menu and disable Genius was from there, but that option seems now as I can not find in there.

Anyone know how I could possibly remove 'Mix Genius' or at the very least, completely disable the Genius?

  • howtodeletesongs

I'm new to ipod and want to get it answered

Remove these songs to the list of items in iTunes to sync with the iPod and then sync. If you are syncing manually, select the iPod in the sidebar of iTunes, find this music and press DELETE.

There is no way to do it from the device itself.

  • Cannot delete music from my iPod shuffle

I have music on my iPod shuffle but want to change it.  When it is plugged into my mac and I open iTunes, I can click on the playlist button change and it brings up the list of music. However, nothing happens when I press on Delete on the song I want to delete. What I am doing wrong?

    Have you tried the following?

If the sidebar of iTunes (on the left of the window) is not visible, in the menu bar, under display, select see the sidebar.

In the sidebar, under DEVICES, select the shuffle.  Click on the small triangle to the left of the name shuffle, to fall to the bottom of his list of contacts (indented under the shuffle).  Click on music here.  The list of songs on the shuffle appears to the right.  Select the song you want to remove the random and press delete on the keyboard.  You can select more than one song at the same time.

  • How can I erase all the files on my iPod Nano (6th generation) and start over?

I can sync is more manually all the files that I need on my iPod Nano (6th generation) to my Macbook (OS 10.6.8) because it is full.  Instead of delete folders and songs about the Nano, which would take forever, I'd rather delete it all and start by cleaning up the folder that I keep in my iTunes library (11.4), then by loading all on the Nano.

    How do I:

    (1) delete all music from the Nano?

    (2) see how many in the iPod folder in my iTunes library Macbook so I know what to remove?

I know this must be a simple process, but it's been a long time I did!  Thanks for any help out there.

When your iPod is connected to your MacBook, open iTunes, click on your iPod in the sidebar and in the 'Summary' tab, click 'Restore iPod.'

If you don't see the sidebar in iTunes, go to the view menu in the menu bar, and then click see the sidebar.

  • How to disconnect safely IMac iPod?

Got a new iPod nano and do not know how to disconnect safely.

Remove it from the USB plug. Or you can first open iTunes, find the device in the sidebar of iTunes, select it and click the eject. Both are safe.

  • I have a iPod Classic 30 GB. I have a new macbook pro and I managed to put my iPod, but now I can't synchronize my iTunes to iPod. What should I do next?

iPod Classic does not sync with iTunes on MacBook Pro.

If "reset" means you did a restore on it (to erase it), after the restoration, the iPod is set by default to use the parameter manually manage music and videos] .  If you expect not to sync automatically, you need to Sync music.

Connect iPod and to find his button on the device to iTunes.  The screenshot below shows the left upper corner of the window of my iTunes, iPod button circled in red.

Click this button to display the settings of the iPod summary screen in the iTunes window.  Along the left side, in the sidebar, under settings, click on music.  Parameters of music from the iPod screen to the right.  Check the box to Sync music.

NOTE: For anyone else reading this, all the songs of the iPod that are not in your iTunes library will be lost.

This enables automatic synchronization.  You can choose to synchronize your entire music library or a part of the selection .  Implement this screen as you want, and then click apply to sync iPod.  Further, iTunes automatically keeps iPod "in phase" with the changes in your music library (or the selected part of it), when you connect the iPod (or click sync , if already connected).

If this isn't the problem, thanks for posting back with additional details about your situation.

  • iTunes "side" have to spoil the reading

Since I updated to iTunes 12.5.1.21, I noticed that if I want to play the songs on an album in order, he often do, playing similar to the current song songs instead or even different songs with similar titles (for example, I have several versions of the Nutcracker, and he'll play the same piece of each version right now). It seems to be choosing songs for me. I checked that shuffle is turned off, and I have determined that it is due to the feature "side", I never noticed before, to know if she was there, he certainly wasn't that. I can stop playing other songs by clearing the queue, but then stops immediately after the current song. Is it possible to completely disable "next"? I looked in preferences, but there seems to be no way to change it. If not, is there a way I can help choose the songs for me? Maybe it's just a little problem, but I don't really know what to do. Thank you!

Pretty sure you cannot turn off «to the top next»

Let's say you want to listen to an album in order... Just make sure that you are in "Album" (in the sidebar)

Then select a piece and he's playing the album from this.

Really, it should work, but if it does then maybe not the order of songs in a playlist.

  • How to find the list of individual songs in iTunes?

I used to be able to find the complete list of songs in my iTunes. Now, all I see is a list of playlists on the left side. I can't find anyway to get it to list all of my songs. Only when I put in something again I see the song list in the item, such as an audio book, for example.

I want to check my list to see exactly what I have, but can't see any song, unless it is in a playlist. How can I see a list of all my songs?

In the sidebar under 'Library', a secondary to edit click the list that you see there. Add songs.

  • iTunes 12.5.1.21 - does not appear iPhone

So I upgraded to ios10 and then upgraded iTunes tonight when my computer went. Download itunes version 12.5.1.21 on my Windows laptop, 10 and with my attached iPhone it does not show the device in the left sidebar, or anywhere on the top toolbar, in fact it does not show the phone anywhere at all.

No sign of it at all. Once more iTunes melted my head in new ways as how they can approve an update which of course does not show a device that has just upgraded to its new operating system.

Any entry that very appreciated as always
