Signature jacob.jar

Hello

I have problems of signature jacob.jar (jacob - 1.14.3)

Oracle Forms and reports 11gRel2 - 11.1.2.2.0, wls_10.3.6.

Before you sign jacob.jar I'm able to run the startup form, but I get security warning - unsigned application (an application not signed location below requests authorization to run).

I want to get rid of this security warning, so I tried to sign jacob.jar

(1) I created with keytool keystore

(2) create CSR with the keytool utility

(3) we created the certificate on our authority of CA (we CA server in our company - PKI MS) code signing

(4) I imported code signing certificate and chain of certificates in the keystore

(5) signature of the jacob.jar (jacob.jar is signed, verified jar)

After the signing of the jacob.jar I get this error:

Forms Session ID is WLS_FORMS.formsapp.63

The proxy host is null, and the proxy port is 0.

Native implementation of HTTP is used for the connection.

The connection mode is HTTP.

I read that all the pots must be signed by the same certificate, but my other jars is signed with the certificate of the Oracle.

How can I register jacob.jar with Oracle certificate? Can I sign other jars (frmwebuti, frmall) with our certificate?

Kind regards

Florence

All the jars need not be signed with the same cert.  This is old information.  The problem is that your personalized certificate is not reliable AND known.  Your current cert is not much more self signature because the JRE has no idea who is the signatory.  So that your own certificate to become reliable AND known, you need to import the cert in the JRE for the end user.  The same would not happen with a certificate of a CA such as Verisign, Thawte, etc because they are all "known" cases.

Here's a search which should translate into many useful references to help export and import:

https://www.Google.com/search?q=site%3Aoracle.com+Java+keytool

Assuming you are using a recent version of JRE, you can also use a set of rules of deployment in order to avoid the Security dialog boxes.  However, the DRS will also be signed by a trusted certificate and known.  Here again, a search that will get you all the information you need about the DRS:

https://www.Google.com/search?q=site%3Aoracle.com+Java+%22Deployment+rule+set%22

  • Jacob.jar works is not on my server

    Oracle 10 g Forms webutil, jacob 1.8

    I managed to configure webutil set up on my local pc, jar jacob works and I can now export data to the excel file.

    There is a dedicated server for me on linux. I tried to test my form server. There is no error on webutil but the process stops on the line where excel is called. It's the same problem that I met at jacob.jar does not work on my local disk.

    Anyone has an idea on how to solve this problem?

    If WebUtil is downloaded and automatically configured correctly on the client, you will end up with jacob.jar and frmwebutil.jar being stored in the JRE cache. Remember, by 'JRE' I want to see is some JRE that you use to run your form on the client side. This could the JRE from Sun or Oracle JRE, which is JInitiator. I'll assume you are using Jinitiator, based on the fact that your java console shows that you have downloaded frmall_jinit.jar.

    If WebUtil dll files have been uploaded correctly, they will be stored in the JRE bin directory. So, for example if you use Jinitiator 1.3.1.30, the files will be located in: C:\Program Files\Oracle\JInitiator 1.3.1.30\bin

    Note that my example is for 1.3.1.30 Langis. Replace with your version number.

    Specifically, you should find the following files:

    Jacob.dll
    JNIsharedstubs.dll
    d2kwut60.dll

    If you cannot find these files, features WebUtil will fail.

    That said, the error you posted just has nothing to do with the above, but is more likely the result of a having not signed jar file or a signature that is invalid or damaged.

    java.security.AccessControlException: access denied

    As I mentioned earlier, the only file to be signed is jacob.jar. All Oracle supplied jars is sign by Oracle, with the exception of those downloaded from OTN.

    If you have a jdk installed on your server (you likely to do), you can use the jarsigner tool to determine if a container is signed or not. It will also attempt to determine whether it is valid or not. Oracle get a House has a jdk that can be used for this. The command is:

    jarsigner -verify

    The path to the jar can be included in the above command.

    More info about jarsigner can be found here:

    http://Java.Sun.com/docs/books/tutorial/deployment/jar/verify.html

  • Grip of Java on signature check DirectPrint Bean with JRE 1.6.0_20/22/23

    We use the DirectPrint bean as described in detail in http://forms.pjc.bean.over-blog.com/article-6621538.html with our forms 10g Version 10.1.2.3.0. It works very well to JRE 1.6.0_17. (I don't check the update 18 and 19).
    But when we use JRE 1.6.0_20 or later, will block the signature verification. He asks if the user approves the program (bean) and wants to run it, but since she then hangs, by clicking "run" is not possible. (The length of Oracle Forms killed in Windows Task Manager).

    Surprisingly, the application works perfectly after importing 3 necessary (in the form of files) certificates in the certificate store. (Because the certificates are already in the folder "trust certificates", the question of signature verification screen is not in this case.)

    Because we do not want to force users to import certificates in the form of files to the client, we would be happy to solve this problem.

    Does anyone have an explanation or a remedy for this? Why does it occur only with JRE 1.6.0_20 or later?

    Take a look at this Metalink note that describes the problem:

    https://support.Oracle.com/CSP/main/article?cmd=show&type=not&ID=1173365.1

    Windows Java Client hangs on accepting not verified Signature of jar files [1173365.1 ID]

    Our SLA customers experience this problem using 1.6.0_20 - 23 (perhaps also JRE prior to day but not with 14 for example). The last Patch of Bundle of forms for 10.1.2.3.0 (fix 9593176) does not solve this problem.

    We worked around it by explicitly loading JAR files in an earlier stage (subclassed forms hand the cmdlet class) then the Security dialog box is presented when the Forms GUI does not appear again and the problem does not occur. (This would not be possible in your situation, then you may need to open a service request)

    1. you should get this signature work. Open the bat/cmd-you are running with Notepad and see what code is called with "jarsigner. Maybe you need to put the full path to the fornt of it.
    2. don't place you frmwebutil.jar and jacob.jar pots in the directory $ORACLE_HOME/forms/java?

  • Train with webutil works with the browser, but not with webstart JNLP 12 c

    Hello

    I set up forms and reports suite 12 c according to the instructions and I'm testing my forms updated since version 10 g.

    In some forms, I use webutil.

    I can run forms without webutil with the browser or java web start (everything works fine).

    I have problems with the forms use webutil tha, they work very well with the browser, but not with java web start.

    When I run forms with webutil and webstart I see all white and the "crash" application: I must leave because other forms without webutil also do not work.

    Here is my config in formsweb.cfg:

    [Appws] <-start java web

    form = nomeform

    Archive = frmall.jar, frmicons.jar

    WebUtilArchive = jacob.jar, frmwebutil.jar

    WebUtilTrustInternal = true

    WebUtilLogging = off

    WebUtilLoggingDetail = normal

    WebUtilErrorMode = alert

    WebUtilDispatchMonitorInterval = 5

    WebUtilTrustInternal = true

    WebUtilMaxTransferSize = 16384

    baseHTML = webutilbase.htm

    baseHTMLjpi = webutiljpi.htm

    basejnlp = webutil.jnlp

    WebStart = on

    [appnows] <-no java web start

    shape = mercurio

    separateFrame = true

    Archive = frmall.jar, frmicons.jar

    WebUtilArchive = jacob.jar, frmwebutil.jar

    WebUtilTrustInternal = true

    WebUtilLogging = off

    WebUtilLoggingDetail = normal

    WebUtilErrorMode = alert

    WebUtilDispatchMonitorInterval = 5

    WebUtilTrustInternal = true

    WebUtilMaxTransferSize = 16384

    baseHTML = webutilbase.htm

    baseHTMLjpi = webutiljpi.htm

    basejnlp = webutil.jnlp

    What could be the problem?

    Gianpaolo

    Remove Appws:

    Archive = frmall.jar, frmicons.jar

    WebUtilArchive = jacob.jar, frmwebutil.jar

    baseHTML = webutilbase.htm

    baseHTMLjpi = webutiljpi.htm

    Add frmicons.jar and jacob.jar to $ORACLE_HOME/forms/java/extensions.jnlp.

    and try again.

    Concerning

  • Strange behavior in Oracle 11 g 2 forms

    Hello

    First post here so forgive me if I missed any info.

    In the logon trigger ONE of my form, I have the following code...

    declare

    l_local varchar2 (30);

    Start

    tool_env. GetVar ('LOCAL', l_local);

    Logon (NULL, ' @' | l_local);

    end;

    When I run the form, I get the following window...

    logon.png

    If the user tries to log in with an expired password Oracle - or - they enter the wrong password, one of the following counters should appear...

    expired.pnginvalid.png

    However, some users (not all) have reported that the windows above are not displayed and their browser window is "frozen".

    After further investigation, the window above seems to have triggered but does not and will not let you continue.

    We see only when you press Alt - Tab to see all the open windows and it is listed in the Task Manager as a javaw process.

    The only way to continue is at the end of the task in the process.  Any help would be appreciated.

    We all use IE10 with Forms version 11 GR 2 (64-bit) and JDK 7u55.

    Our computers are all Windows 7 Enterprise SP1 64 bit.

    Our database is Oracle 11.2.0.4.0

    I narrowed the problem down for the self-signed certificate.  We have self-signed the jar of jacob and created a certificate that import us certificates to the user managed in Java Control Panel.

    If the certificate has not yet been activated by a call to jacob.jar, then the dialog boxes above fails to demonstrate and the application crashes as described above.

    Once you accept the risk and run the application by checking that the "do not display this new editor applications and the location above", then the dialog boxes is displayed as expected.

    However, this does not require the user to log on with success and appeal to jacob.jar so they can check the box for "do not show again".

    Once they do it all later connections that produce dialog boxes (ie: expiry of passwords, has no connections) will appear.

  • ORA-305500 which tent to download XLS

    Hello

    I use forms11, when I try to download data for the XLS file error appear ORA-305500. any suggestion?

    the error displayed when running this code

    workbook := ole2.get_obj_property(workbooks, 'Open', args);

    all of the code:

    application := ole2.create_obj ('Excel.Application');
    ole2.set_property (application, 'Visible', 'FALSE');
    workbooks := ole2.get_obj_property (application, 'Workbooks');
    args := ole2.create_arglist;
    ole2.add_arg (args, filename);
    workbook := ole2.get_obj_property(workbooks, 'Open', args);

    I found the solution add jacob.jar path in CLASSPATH to default.env

  • webutil question

    If I put that it works:

    ... Forms/frmservlet? config = webutil & form = webutil_demo_no_ole

    If I put it it does not work:

    ... Forms/frmservlet? config = webutil & form = myform

    So what's the problem? From formsweb.cfg:

    [webutil]

    WebUtilArchive = frmwebutil.jar

    WebUtilLogging = off

    WebUtilLoggingDetail = normal

    WebUtilErrorMode = alert

    WebUtilDispatchMonitorInterval = 5

    WebUtilTrustInternal = true

    WebUtilMaxTransferSize = 16384

    baseHTML = webutilbase.htm

    baseHTMLjpi = webutiljpi.htm

    Archive = frmall.jar

    lookAndFeel = oracle

    ColorScheme = boussif

    It is an effort to run webutil without the stuff of ole jacob.jar to use client_text_io.

    The error I get is frm-40734 when it tries to do client_text_io.

    Nevermind I found it.

    Missed me the Group of objects.

    It seems that to convert an old style text_io form to the shape of client_text_io webutil you must

    1. attach the library

    so you see attached libraries, webutil

    2. the subclass the DLO. One way to do it. Open the webutil_demo_no_ole form and your new form.

    Try to drag the groups of objects, object Webutil to groups of objects on your form area. Then it will ask you to subclass

    and I suppose that respond you to the subclass.

  • Can't find META-INF/JacobVersion.properties

    Hello.

    We use forms on Linux x 64 11.1.2.2. Webutil configured and Jacob. Signed Jacob.jar.

    When you try to use START_WORD_APPLICATION, the form is suspended and we see in the console:

    Caused by: java.lang. IllegalStateException: can't find META-INF/JacobVersion. properties using JacobReleaseInfo.class. getClassLoader(). getResourceAsStream()

    to. com.jacob.com.ComThread < clinit > (ComThread.java:167)

    ... 32 more

    Jacob is version 1.14.3

    Clues? This is a feature that worked on Forms 6i.

    Thanks in advance

    Things to check and consider:

    1. have you copied the Windows of Jacob 1.14.3 libraries (dll) in the appropriate directories (win32 \forms\webutil\ & win64)?  32 bit file goes in \win32 and 64-\win64

    2. make sure that the entries in webutil.cfg to jacob are correct?  The relevant entries should look like to follow.  Correct if necessary.

    1.14.3 - install.syslib.0.0.7.1 = Jacob - x 86 DLL | 102400 | 1.14.3 | true

    1.14.3 - install.syslib.0.1.7.1 = Jacob - x 64 .dll | 117760 | 1.14.3 | true

    3. you generated a webutil.plx of webutil.pll in ORACLE_HOME\forms?  Do not use an old copy of webutil.pll, you should use the one supplied with the installation.

    4. your OLE2 application code must be modified to work with WebUtil at the customer level.  So, that said something like OLE2. CREATE_OBJ should be replaced with CLIENT_OLE2. CREATE_OBJ (and so on for the others)

    5. If your OLE application code uses app: = OLE2. CREATE_OBJ ('Word.Basic'), this code must be updated to a newer standard of Microsoft.  For example: app: = CLIENT_OLE2. CREATE_OBJ ('Word.Application');  Similar may be true for the rest of the code.  You can see the demo of WebUtil available on the product page of forms of OTN here:

    http://www.Oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/forms/downloads

    6. and finally, and unrelated to the problem, you cannot use the .ico to your icons/images files.  You must use the web compatible formats such as jpg, gif, etc.  Note the errors in your console that reference failing to get ico files.  In addition, these files should be packed in a pot, the pot must be signed, then copied into the \forms\java directory, then added to the parameter ARCHIVE of formsweb.cfg.  If you hard-coded paths and/or file extensions for these files in your application, those who will have to be changed too.

    Hello:

    In the section [webutil], the file separator is a comma instead of a semicolon.

    Change:

    WebUtilArchive = frmwebutil.jar; jacob.jar

    Archive = frmall.jar; Jacob.jar

    TO:

    WebUtilArchive = frmwebutil.jar, jacob.jar

    Archive = frmall.jar

    I think that you must restart the WLS_FORMS service in Weblogic.

    Kind regards

  • FRM-93652: WebUtil on Form Builder 11 GR 2

    Hello

    I'm trying to start WebUtil on Forms 11 g Builder:

    • Windows 7 [64 Bit]
    • Forms [64 Bit] Version 11.1.2.2.0 (Production)
    • Database Oracle 12 c Enterprise Edition Release 12.1.0.1.0 - 64 bit Production
    • Chrome browser Version 40.0.2214.28 beta-m [64-Bit]
    • 1.8.0_25 Java [64-Bit]
    • Jacob.jar signed to a trusted certification authority,

    After the two alerts (jacob & Oracle) Java startup process breaks and I get error FRM-93652.

    The WebUtil works with the start of the run: http://win-myserver:7001/forms/frmservlet? config = webutil & form = webutil_demo & userid=webutil/Webutil@orcl ,.

    the WEBUTILCONF_MV.fmb runs from the form designer and checks with error 0.

    I have no idea to solve this problem, please help.

    Thank you

    Friedhold

    Hi Friedhold,

    FRM-93652 is a very generic error which may be due to a number of reasons. Although it seems that the form of webutil_demo works perfectly, I recommend you check your WebUtil environment. The following article provides a list of good for WebUtil environment: http://pitss.com/us/2014/03/20/forms-and-reports-11g-environment-requirements-for-webutil/

    After that everything is convinced, try to run your application again. As you use config = webutil trying webutil_demo, which config parameter form you use in the URL when you run your application? If you use no config = webutil, you must update your config section in formsweb.cfg to contain required parameters for WebUtil (see section 3 in the above URL explaining what needs to be configured).

    In addition, if you run a form that doesn't use WebUtil (Oracle test form test.fmx for example), you encounter the same error?

    Thank you

    Scott
