  • Need help with report of scale measure/tool change area

I try to use the measure area tool in Acrobat ms on a pdf plan I'm working on that. The EHR Architecture scale is 1/8 "= 1'. So I will try to change the ratio of the a.125 in = 1 ft scale in order to account for this, but it automatically rounds up a.13. Is there a way to avoid this and keep the number I had intend without it rounded up?

I don't see a way to add more than 2 decimal places to the measure tool scale ratio.

It can be done with a script, but it is a bit complex.

  • Measurement tool Pro Acrobat stopped defining the end points, someone else has / sovle this problem?

Measurement tool Pro XI of Acrobat stopped fine tuning points while I was working on plans today.

I've used Acrobat for years and this has never happened before. When the use of line, perimeter-line or a region, it fixed endpoint when left or quickly double clicked on, but while I was working on a set of plans this afternoon, he stopped allowing me to the final point. If I double click quickly, my line of area or measure disappears, forcing me to reset my original point again, but never allowing me to complete the measure.

    Its crazy.

Nothing seemed to happen to change the default behavior of the application.

    I'm on PC Windows 8.1, 8 GB of RAM, Intel i5 - 3210M

    1. I saved my files open and restarted Acrobat: no change in the behavior of the app
    2. I opened an existing plan of pdf that were previously measured and attempted to measure: no change in the behavior of the app
    3. I restarted Windows: still no change in the behavior of Acrobat

    Just the question.

I disabled apparently brand tool when setting up my plan measure ration with the drop down.

Its amazing that I have never done this in the past.

I went into the preferences of measure 2D and concluded that the increase was unchecked, BOOM, as simple as that.

  • Measurement tool Adobe Acrobat XI

Recently downloaded trial Adobe Acrobat XI to evaluate the program and especially for the use of the measuring tool.

Under "Change scale Ratio" in the LH column, there are only four items to choose from i.e. pt, inch, mm, cm, p. However, in the RH column Unit 11 options are available?

No sense, why the two columns did not equal units available

Probably because the units in the left drop-down list are reasonable to measure the physical dimensions of things on a page, but some of the measures on the right (feet, yards, miles, kilometers) are not. Normally, the largest dimension of the height and the width of a PDF page is 200 inches (16-2/3 feet, 5.56 yards), the vast majority being significantly less than.

  • How to draw a measurement tool Info line?

Hi, I need to draw a line with a specific mathematical accuracy and believe that I have defined it in the measurement tool:

    Screen shot 2010-05-19 at 4.31.45 PM.png

    It's to-60 degrees by 203,0 (whatever)

How could I draw this line (in width of 1 pixel)?

I could define my pencil to 1 pixel and shift + click to close with trial and error, but I really need an accurate measure if possible because I have 12 lines to draw to varying degrees... I'm building a graphic high resolution of pie style for industrial use and accuracy is important.

    Thanks in advance...

Well, the pencil tool is not anti-aliasees, so it will look like jagged. But whatever, if you want any line to look less "irregulars" of work and more high resloution you can.

BUT... while testing pencil drawing, I think that a bug appeared. Scott (or anyone else) might want to check drawing with the pencil tool to see if they see problems of rendering (display).

    BUG:

So far - create a new file of 2000 X 1000 px. RGB (size seems to watch). Select the pencil tool 7 px. View zoom set at 33% (I have Open GL on) draw once with a pencil. It is visible. Successive strokes are not made until you change the zoom percentage.

  • Select the measure tool

I want to activate the tool of measurement (Adobe Acrobat X) in a PDF to an AutoCAD drawing.

I tried save as - Reader Extended PDF, but the only option is to "allow the fill-in forms & save in Adobe Reader.  Is there an add-on or extension to measure that I need to install to enable it?

    Hi br0wners,

As Bernd said, you will need to upgrade to Acrobat X Pro.  If you do so, you will be able to register under > Reader Extended PDF > allow comment and measurement.

This feature is not available in Acrobat X Standard.
