  Hi all -

  Now that I understand (with your collective help) how to convert my large volume of scanned documents so that I can change them, another question arises.

  In a scanned document that has, say, 100 pages, is there a way for me to convert to only unique edition or groups of pages that I need instead of the 100 pages?

  For example, a report that I need is p 57-64. Is there a way to convert only those pages to be able to change/point culminating / add text? I know I can convert the 100 pages, but why do that if I can't?

• Change the orientation of the page on a number of files

  Hello

  My question is 'how to change the page orientation in a number of files simple but always keep content?'

  I use FM7.0 and I have a book containing a number of files. I want to use the master and the Pages of some of these files, including the structure, the EDD and the formats, but I want the pages in landscape instead of portrait. I made a first attempt, just using the Format/Page/Page layout size, but it seems I have to go and adjust each file separately, in response to the error messages displayed. Is there an easier way?

  Once you have a single file adjusted the layout of landscape you want, you can use it as match your model to adjust all the files in your book.

  A quick & dirty way to make a reusable template for orientation is to save the file that you want to use as a template under a new file name of file, for example save as > myLandscape_tmplt.fm.

  Then with the open template file, you can blow the content so that it is not a distraction: simply press ctrl + A to select everything in the main stream press DELETE. Now you can re-record it and you have a simple model landscape. Open this template file.

  Open the book that contains the files you want to change (Tip: if it's just a collection of files that are not specific to a particular book, create a temp book to contain all these files). Now open all the files in the book by holding down the SHIFT key and then click the file menu and select "open all files in the book. This will open all the files in the book at once.

  Now using the book file, select all the files that you want to change the landscape.

  Then using file > import > Formats... Select the Document in: be the landscape model file.

  Now, you have to uncheck all the options, except for the 'layouts '. You may (or may not) want to also enable deleting format/layout overrides (depending on what you did in the documents).

  Now click on the import button to apply the pages using the landscape to all documents.

  You can now review the individual documents, because they are open, to see if the page layout is to your liking. Note: If you don't like what you see, simply close all documents and you'll be back where you started from (you can do the shift + file > close all files...) Tip to close all files in the book). You had made this step to import directly in the book selections without having to open the files first, you wouldn't be able to regularize in case something goes wrong, as FM opens, imports and then saves and closes the files when they are made from the single book file.

  I hope that this will make things easier and faster.

  Hi - I just finished a project of 20 pages in the Photos app (version 1.3 (350.23.0) on an older MacBook Air with OSx 10.11.2.) My question is how a flexible cover project looks in the application or in a PDF "Preview". I admit I have not received my order, but I still wanted to check with the community on an inconsistency, I noticed. What you see in the project and which is made in a PDF file (evidence / preview) are different.

  In project of soft cover, we know not if the inside the cover page is empty or full. I'll know when my books arrive. I hope that the answer is Yes. However when you save a "snapshot" of the book in PDF format, it does not create a blank page in the page layout.

  Layout in the app picture was as follows:

  Blank (no image / text allowed)

  Page 1

  -(I wanted to intentionally juxtaposition page 2 & 3 to be next to each other)

  page 3

  page 5

  Thus, in the export PDF of a paperback book, page 1 is inside the cover & page 2 is next to him. This breaks the presentation expected that you see in the photo/project application.

  the book is printed using the layout of standard book - odd numbered pages on the right and on the left - this is why it is necessary for an even number of pages

  In my previous company, we ran a warranty out Eloqua renewal program where we stored the warranty of the product/contacts information in data cards. One of the fields has been sales representative (as our representatives sold by product line, so if someone had two different products, there would be various assigned representatives). We sent the notice of automatic renewal that their warranty was about to expire, which prompts to renew, and we did the emails come from the Sales Rep so signature rules were driven out of the field of "Sales Rep" on the data card.

• Recording of reference in books page layouts

  What have I done?

  I created a new style of paragraph for my notes in the document root to the format of my book. I put the page layout in the reference of the document, in particular the rules of paragraph options. I have synced all documents in my book to set the same styles for each document.

  The problem:

  Whenever I have create a new note the paragraph style is adopted as expected but are not available options (paragraph nets). Is there a way to force InDesign to apply the same style to all documents or the ability to change the preset reference?

  It is an old question.  You do not mention your version of ID, but you can try the Jongware script from 2010, but noted his bets in custody this old thread.

  The checkerboard to fluid carried out since previous versions of Dreamweaver and has been replaced by the Bootstrap infrastructure.  Now when you start DW, you should see an option on the left for models of starter and from there, you will have a few options to choose.  There are also documents on the Web site "bootstrap", which will be useful also to understand all the functions of the "bootstrap" ( http://getbootstrap.com/ ) framework.

  I'm not sure that I understand perfectly all your requirements, but if you want to replicate the 'look' of your application in 2014, you might do the following

  1. The collection of high level, create a unique collection and style cards and layout to match or resemble 2014 of the "Library" view available  I'll call this the collection "the House."
     • Make sure the collection HOUSE has a "Collection open by default" setting is set to ' Browse View '
     • Don't add all the additional collections to the high default level except the collection of HOME collection
     • Make sure that the layout, the use of cards and the size of the grid, best represent the 'Library' of DPS 2014 view
  2. Create a collection to represent each FOLIO from 2014.
     • If you use the migration tool, it will be created automatically.
     • Add different items of this collection "folio", in the same order as they appear in "folio" DPS 2014
     • The Collection must be configured with an image of collection that represents the cover art to represent the problem of DPS 2014
     • IMPORTANT: Make sure that these collections have the setting "Open default Collection" is set to "content display"
     • I'll call these collections the Collections 'Folio '.
  3. Each FOLIO collection, add to the collection from HOME

  When you set "View content" as the Collection opened by default, it does not show a page to browse (cards & grid).  Instead, when you open the collection, it opens automatically in section 1, page 1 of the collection.  Swipe right (or using the navto controls) will move to the following article in the sequence.

  You should have a similar hierarchy to below

  • default top level collection
    • HOME collection (by using the view through which displays a list of the "folio" w/maps collections + grid)
      • Folio 1 Collection (using the content view)
        • Article 1
        • Article 2
        • Article 3
        • etc.
      • Folio Collection 2 (using the content view)
  • • Article 1
    • Article 2
    • Article 3
    • etc.
  • Folio Collection 3 (using the content view)
    • Article 1
    • Article 2
    • Article 3
    • etc.
  • Folio Collection... etc (using content view)
    • Article 1
    • etc.

  When you launch the application, the collection of the HOUSE appears first, and then clicking on the "issues" folios open those as it did in 2014.

  Once again, I'm not entirely understand your needs, but hope this helps.

  Its a simple 22-page document. Back to Earth with a yellow area single text on each page, such as a previous/next button on the bottom. I'm hoping to put it in muse on one page, instead of having to do an absurdly long page in muse. I want the next/previous buttons to work as well.

  Inside of InDesign, I have already selected "Digital Publishing", but am stuck now on what to do.

  I use Creative Cloud 2015 for Muse and InDesign.

  Any help will be appreciated. Once the Adobe online chat is open again, I will discuss with them, but by then, I expect to get help on the forum.

  You can try to use the composition for this where containers will include content and the triggers can include thumbnail images.

• How to get pages to display in the page layout palette?

  Yesterday I updated InDesign (via CC) and problems appear as no pages showing in the page layout palette, when there are 17 pages in the document. I rebooted twice and he has not made a difference. Help!

• questions of fluid page layout grid

  try my hand at this thing of fluid page layout grid and I'm having a few problems. part of the problem is I can just try to do too much, which makes an ecommerce site and the page has a certain div inside, a header, description, photo, basket and price div by each element. the layout looks good in the mobile display but I can't get the divs to match the Tablet and the desktop view.

  I know there are other programs as data boot out there, but just don't know if they're going to face the same question.  the simple solution would be just to create each of these elements in photopshop and then each item would be just a div, instead of 5. but the question would then become I create the size of each element of the mobile view, but at the time it gets to the desktop view the quality of the image is going to be lousy.

  the last solution would be just to get a different url and build this page for mobile, have a link on the page to view this complete site and just towards my url which has the site office facing up and running and do the opposite on the desktop site.

  HELLLLLPPPPPPPP! advice or direction would be appreciated.

  When you try to complete the tutorial for indesign, I get the following error when you try to add an article to my folio:

  "An error occurred while updating the provisions of the article. The InDesign for page layout file is not found. »

  I am able to create the folio then I click into articles. My 'WiFi_v.indd' document is opened by clicking Add article, but I get this error message.

  I use the following versions of the software (should be later).

  -Folio Builder (downloaded version Version 1.1.8.0)

  Adobe Design 7.5.2 CS 5.5

  Also tried to reinstall the plugins (uninstall and install)

  Sometimes I have some problems with the mounted network volumes.

  When dismantling and then it works again.

  Try dismantling of unnecessary volume and try again.

  Or try local labour and unmount all volumes of network.

  OK you solved my question external site, ( http://forums.adobe.com/thread/504934 for details) then comes how better to my video page layout. I have several videos on youtube and vimeo and would like a miniature menu floating on the side of the page only (no problem - even I can handle this!) that are links and open the video selected on the main part of the page. I tried to show what I mean below:

  Is the way to do this with iframes again? I have to make a separate page with each video embeded on it and make it open in the iframe as if it were an external site?
