  1. put the image files you want in the slide show in an album and genre as you want. Follow the Apple document to prepare images for iDVD: iDVD ' 09 (7.x): preparing images for iDVD slideshows

  2 - Launch iDVD and select an older theme, not animated.  You can change the background of the theme by dragging the image file of your choice, black or other, in the display pane for the menu.

  3 - Click on the button '+' and add a slideshow from the menu.

  

  4. double click on the sideshow button to enter the mode of construction of the slide show.

  5. in the media pane click the Photos button.

  6 - click on iPhoto and find the album you created with selected images.

  

  7. Select all images in the album and drag to the left in the slide show window.

  8 - Select the transition for the slideshow and the time for each slide on screen

  9 - follow this workflow to help ensure the best DVD video qualty:

  Once the project you want it save it as an image disk via the menu file → save as Disk Image . It will separate from the process of encoding of the burning process.

  To check coding mount the disk image, launch a DVD player and read it.  If it plays OK with DVD, encoding is good.

  Burn burn to disc with utility disk or toasts to the slowest speed (2 x - 4 x) in order to ensure the best quality.  Always use higher quality media: Verbatim, Maxell or Taiyo Yuden DVD-R are recommended in these forums.

  I work with CS6 and create a slideshow with 8 photos. Over a button, I turn the button to start the slide show. Now, this does not work. I only see one slide to the next slide by pushing the button. Taking the version, the slide show starts automatically everytime opening the document. I don't understand. It's so simple, and I don't see my error.

  A button can go to a specific or State next or previous state, but it cannot read the slide show. One solution is to set the slideshow to tap for Play/Pause and add a dummy button image in the first State. Type the key is really just typed on the slide show.

  I would like to go from slide to slide, but have a [next] manual function so that I can show to each slide, taking my time to comment on each of them, then when I'm ready advance to the next slide.

  Slideshow image is one of the options for a new project in Captivate, but I do not know which version you use?

  A bar of reading, is not what you want? Then insert a button, style as you want and set the action of its success to 'Go to the next slide,' copy this button to each slide.  Or, if you use Captivate 5, insert the widget buttons on a master slide, to adapt its properties and apply this slides template to all your slides in the image.

  What do you mean by 'commentary': you want to add a voice over? OK, no problem, the slide duration will be adapted to the length of the audio clip if you save it in Captivate or if you import it into the slide, when creating with one other audio editing program.

  5 slides and two buttons: back and next.

  The in2.0 script has: prevFrame and nextFrame in code

  and for exceptions to frame 1 and frame 5 made us a new image 1 in the layer actions and coded the rear button, gotoAndStop (5); and a new framework 5 and coded the following button: gotoAndStop (1);

  Works.

  Now, I put the thing earlier than 3.0: and I can't do work properly... the work of buttons, but when I'm on frame 5 and back to 4, it will go no further than 4, evenso when I return to frame 1 of 5, I can't go more than frame 1.

  Do I did wrong?

  Essentially, you are trying to build a version complicated of conditionals to deal with the end points of the scenario with the approach that you have taken which is probably easier to explain by introducing conditional elements.

  When you start playing with the different instances of the same name on the same layers there are anomalies that occur that there are simply no move.  For example, it is possible that the Framework 1 button keeps the event listener who has been assigned to the button in frame 5 even if you assign a new when she went back to frame 1, etc... anomalies that defy the intentions and the actual code.  Asigning different names for objects in adjacent images can also lead to erroneous results.  If you want to use new instances of the same object with different names, use different layers for each or separate instances with keyframes empty, otherwise, it may acquire the name of the former, regardless of your naming.

  I need to make a simple slideshow on Adobe first 14 elements.  Can I use parameters for, Elive, guided, quick or Expert.   I want to choose the length of a period of 3 seconds on each photo and the transitions anyway instead of having to put in a.   My program did not come with a tutorial. I would buy one if someone has a spare part.

  Otherwise, I would recommend that you work in Expert mode. Then, before adding your photos to the timeline, resize your photos to not exceed 2500 x 1872 pixel in size (72 dpi). This will save you a lot of headaches later.

  Also, since you want your photos last 3 seconds each, go to Premiere Elements preferences' (under the Edit menu on a Windows computer), then, on the general page, assign still Image duration 90 images (if you are in NTSC. If you use the TV PAL system, set it to 75). Remember that you do it before adding photos to your project!

  Once you have done this, simply use the Add Media / files and folders to collect your photos in your current project, and then just drag in your timeline.

  Like your job, make your timeline (by pressing the Enter key) regularly so that you can see a clear overview of your video.

  App advice from Bob Bringhurst DPS using I'm doing a simple slideshow quiz with a multi-state object.  What you're supposed to do is create a few slides and add buttons to each, making them "placeholder objects" that allows you to navigate through the WHO. Although I can't find how on the internet are exactly what placeholder objects.

  I created a few basic Photoshop slides that have text on them answers. Now I know how to use the rectangle tool to draw a shape for the buttons around each answer text and how use the Panel buttons and forms to define the behavior of the buttons. The bad effect, I get, is that each button that I create is press-measure on slides, on what they are not supposed to be. What I want to do is 'stick' buttons rectangle I create a specific slide. Any ideas on what is the right process for this work?

  Hi Bob.  Although I did not use the correct phrase, my question is basically was Q) how for adding buttons to individual States?  By you using this phrase in your response, I was able to search the Internet and find the right answer. The correct answer, which I will share for the benefit of those who would need assistance in the future is the following:

  (A) first mute button from the timeline. Select the multistate object. Open the object States Panel and click on the correct slide.  Then at the bottom of the window click on "Paste copied in some States of the objects." You can see the icon on the image. This is the file with the star thereon to the extreme left of the trash. That's all!

  

  I'm happy to experiment with menus of software and research. But it was impossible to find in any panel because to implement it is paradoxical to the software as well as most work. Rather than highlight my button and then clicking on an icon to add it to a State of the object, icon paste copy objects in some States only becomes accessible when you have removed the button that you want to use!

  I've been studying your course on Lynda.com and he wasn't a chapter on it. I understand that, for experts from Adobe, I asked a basic question like that may seem less important. However it was not ideal to recommend a product $40 for something that can be done in a few seconds.  The short answer phrase like the one I gave would be beneficial for not only me but other people in the future who have the same problem and seek a response.

  Wait instead of Flash using jQuery.  There are a variety of solutions redy-made, just search Google or visit the Dreamweaver forum and ask there.

• Performance issues when using Premiere Elements for photo slideshows

  I had been with the first Elements 9 (PE9) to create a simple slideshow for my parents for their holiday trip, and I came across some problems serious performance.  I had used to create similar projects before, but not as big.  It's like 260 pictures, so basically it's 260 separate clips.  I have a workstation of the PLANT (see below), so it's not my PC.  Even when PE9 breaks down, looking at my performance of my CPU monitor and RAM are not yet half used.  Finally, I went to Windows Movie Maker of all things, and it worked flawless, amazing really.  I wonder if I used just PE9 about something other than what it was designed for since there were not really video clips, just a ton of photos I made in video clips, if that makes sense.  Given my experience with it so far, I can't imagine using PE9 for anything really.  I might need the professional video editing software in the near future, although it seems like PE has a lot of features.  How can I make sure that it uses my computer to its full potential?  Here are my specs:

  Yes, this system is incredibly fast.  I still have to slow down, even with Photoshop, Lightroom, InDesign, Illustrator and many other applications running at the same time the meaning.  HOWEVER, the first Elements 9 broke NUMERUOS times, every time that my system was not yet close to being fully taxed.

  Premiere Elements often chokes trying large pictures of downsample - especially when there are more than 100 of them.

  Try to resize your image files and you should see a significant improvement in performance.

• Help!  Still 'suddenly' will not make a slideshow for me!

  Good, Win 7 Pro (x 64) system, still CS5.5 (aka still 5.1).  I have made many a slideshow, automatic and manual, with just a few slides as well as with the scores of them.  If a desired slide show had more than 99 slides in it, I had no problem dividing the slides between 2 or more slideshows and connects them.  My most recent project, including slide shows was in November/December (can not remember which EXACTLY) last year (or in a few months).  HOWEVER, now I can't get the program to create a slide show to DVD no matter how small it is!

  I had a project with several small films, including video slideshows created outside again and some 470 photos in slideshows Manuel (no unique slideshow exceeded 97 slides).  The slides were all JPEGs, capable of 720 x 480.  When I tried to build the project, I spent the transcoding to the ' project to build - preparation building slideshows "and received the message"General error"always so useful, which of course killed the build.  Sometimes, if I re-project manager and tried build, it has exceeded the "strengthening of slideshows" to "Loading Videos" (clear from the slides) and THEN I got the "General error"!

  I tried to save the project to a different folder/name... same result.  I saved to a different folder/name and deleted all the videos, leaving ONLY slideshows... same result.  FWIW - I tried to delete all the slides and built just videos and which worked FINE!

  I tried the empty projects from SCRATCH, create a simple slideshow using DIFFERENT IMAGES... "General error".

  I tried to return all (well, videos) original, delete the ENTIRE folder of transcode and re-construction... same result.

  I erased the media database Caches... no help.  I deleted EVERYTHING in the folders "média Cache" and "Media Cache files" in the AppData > Roaming > Adobe > common files... still no help!

  I even re-installed my Pro CS5.5 production installation no files... no go!

  Two things I noticed, neither of which can be too helpful... first of all, it builds fine Blu - Ray and Flash, but not on DVD, second, on the file menu, THE options under "Render" (rendering project, make animated Menus and display slide shows) are greyed out!

  What I need, apart from a miracle, of course, is one) is the build crawler / CONNECTED anywhere so that I could be able to understand what goes wrong?  - and - b) What suggestions are there ' All may need to help me out here?

  I'll just say that your confirm that a slide show of the 3 slide fails. Try it with jpg which were all opened and resaved in photoshop. I don't know what it means that the phase of slideshow of construction work, then the next step will fail. I agree that should mean something, but I don't know what.

  I'm working on my first flash project.  I created a simple slideshow image 4.  I have created 4 buttons that when clicked, jump to this image in the panel mounting.  I added rollover States for the button. Everything works as I want it.

  My question is how can I get the buttons to have a different look when this particular image is active?

  For example.  When the slideshow is on the 2nd picture, I want 2 button to have an active state (different look as the other three buttons).

  I wish the slide show to have a box of black resident with a white background. I have two buttons I made in Photoshop for previous and next image. I want the background of the images must be filed within this box for the user to manually go through the images and slideshow of white color.

  They are many and better stuff jQuery (many have had problems with the simple slide show), try one of them - http://bradblogging.com/jquery/9-jquery-slideshow-applications-you-cannot-miss/.

  The problem with simple slide show is that it stacks up images, and including everything except images can (and often do) launch the slideshow out of sync, but it says for a slide show of pictures 4-8, it works.

  Hi Gabriela,

  The original ZIP opens ok on my computer, but here is one again, just in case.  Keep in mind that you can not open this file directly in Flash Catalyst - you need to open the ZIP file on your desktop and copy on the. FXP file it contains, and then open the file that in Catalyst.

  Your last email, looks like you got the idea base of how to do it though.

  Re length: there is no limitation... the length of timeline, you can see zoomed all it is limited by the width of your screen, but you can move the timeline of actions even further out in time by using the delay setting in the Panel properties.

  Re into greater navigation: I'm not 100% sure what problem you are having, but one thing that is difficult is that there is no way to stop a sequence of actions as soon as it is being read.  If you hide the slideshow when the user navigates elsewhere, he will continue to play while invisible - but which does not seem a big deal.  If you want the slide show to stay visible, but stop animation when the user navigates elsewhere, this is where it gets interesting.  I would like to know if that's what you need to do - there are a few tricks that might help in this case.
