simulate the arduino serial monitor

object: simulate the monitor series of Arduino on lab view

problem: I'm working on a project of graduation of scale and arduino interfacing
I use an amplifier for the load cell signal, so I have to load the code from the amp to the arduino
everything is good with the monitor of the series and I get the readings that I'm looking.

I can simulate these reading lab for further analysis view?
Thank you

  • Simulation Serial Monitor of the Arduino with Labview?

Objective: Simulate Serial Arduino using Labview base series Monitor write and Read.Vi.

Problem: When a stream of ASCII data is sent to the base series writing and Read.VI it stops playing after about 3 seconds.  Whereas that must be continually read data even when there is more data that can fit in the reading string indicator. Ideally, it should push the old data from the top of the screen and display the data again at the bottom of the screen.

What changes should I do at the base series write and Read.VI to simulate Serial Monitor of Arduino?

  • Simulate the structure of the event in the LabVIEW base?

I have a basic version of LabVIEW (v8.6) who doesn't have the structure of the event. I found it was quite embarrassing monitor the status of several controls (action after clicking a control depends on the State of the other control (s)). Especially if I want to add another function (control), the effort exponentially increase with the current number controls

I had an idea to simulate the structure of the event using "shift register. First, I will provide all the values for the controls in a cluster. Then I'll put the cluster in a while loop and compare the value of the cluster to its previous value (xor the registry change). If the result of the comparison is false (none of the control is changed), the program moves to the next iteration. If the XOR result is true (one of the control has changed), then the program goes into code (it will pass what control has changed and the entire cluster) event management. So for each change of control, we can write an independent code to process the event. After processing of the event, the event was allowed.

Here are some of my ugly code currently used to monitor multiple controls. And I think rewriting using above idea so there is less chance a hiden bug.

    Comments, suggestions?

I'm not quite sure what I'm looking for on your photo of your block diagram because it seems that only the lower quarter right in your code.  I would do the following to detect a change in a cluster without the structure of the event control:

The basic package include the notifications than us?  You can put your "event management" in another thread by this method:

The advantage here is your main loop of the program is not "bogged down" every time that a change in your cluster held.  It also allows to separate the code so that it is cleaner.

    Hope that helps!

  • the arduino comparison string

I'm doing a project requiring labview + Mega1280 arduino + xbee. and I encountered a problem. I send you a string of arduino via xbee. LabVIEW Gets the string and try to compare it with a constant string that I chose. but each time the result of the comparison is fault. I tried to send the numbers: serial.println ("1"), I tried to send string: serial.println ("red of detection"), nothing works. I placed a prob on the wire of the input string and it shows me the right data, but the "equal?" is always fault. I would appreciate if you could help me.

    Thank you, Ben

It is something quite common in the serial communication.  You probably unprintable characters in the string, such as a carriage return. Put an indicator (not a probe) on the returned string and set the display mode of the indicator of string for something as "------" codes. This will tell you if you have non-printable characters. If so, you have to strip before being compared, or include them as part of the comparison string.

  • Control the Arduino with LabWindows

    To the right:

I've seen a lot of way of communicating with the microcontroller Arduino using Labview. But I'm having a lot of trouble to find ways and examples with LabWindows CVI, can someone help me with the file #include that I need to use in order to communicate with the microcontroller?

    Concerning

    Francisco

    Hi Francisco,.

Arduino connects to a virtual COM port. The library of RS-232 of LabWindows is able to communicate with the Arduino.

See using the instrument for the RS-232 (serial) library.

There are also fine examples on the use of this library. They are installed with the CVI environment.

See if you can find and post if you need help.

    Kind regards

  • I get a 'Secure connection' error failed with google stating "certificate contains the same serial number.

When I click on a link to a google search, I get the "Secure connection" error failed in Firefox. He says, "please contact the administrator of the server or email correspondent and give them the following information: your certificate contains the same serial number for another certificate issued by the certification authority."

    I followed the instructions here:
    https://support.Mozilla.org/en-us/KB/certificate%20contains%20The%20Same%20serial%20number%20As%20another%20certificate
    and looked at this article:
    https://support.Mozilla.org/en-us/questions/1028103?ESAB=a & As = AAQ

I uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox, deleted the entire folder profiles and reset Firefox. I see that the older (orphans) article points to my router. However, I have a new router and have updated their software. There is no button to add an exception (as stated in the article), so I can't just work around it. This problem does not occur with IE, so I have a hard time to believe that it is my router.

How to solve this problem? I really want to change browser.

Finally, I tracked the issue. The answer was found here:
    https://support.Mozilla.org/en-us/questions/1028985

It turns out that Avast has a web shield that passes through its own verification of certificate https. Of course, this feature is not quite right and loses track of the certificates. Disable "https scanning" in the settings of Avast resolved the problem.

    Hello

I put t know if the touchpad software includes this option.
You should check this in the touchpad options.

    You can find it in:
Control Panel-> mouse-> tab advanced-> button Advanced settings

But in my case, this option does not exist.

OK, so all first off I am new to the fourms to HP. Suffice to say. But 2 days ago or so I got up from my office to watch TV and I was still wearing my helmet and they were always connected. So when I got up I almost tore the helmet on the plug and now the front plug on the usb hub is heavily damaged. I was wondering if there was a way I could replace the front serial bus.

  • How to calibrate the heart rate monitor?

How to calibrate the heart rate monitor that shows a too high concentration?

    Hello

It is not possible to calibrate the heart rate sensor. However, various factors can affect the performance of the detector.

During training, to optimize the performance of the heart rate sensor, ensure that you wear your watch fits on top of your wrist.

Apple suggests that consider you the clamping Strip before starting a workout and it loosen again thereafter.

The sensor is likely to give better results for the workouts that involve rhythmic (for example running) rather than the irregular movements (e.g., tennis). Other problems that can affect the performance of the sensor include the perfusion of the skin and wrist tattoos.

  • Portege R500: unable to connect the remote DVI monitor via Dynadock

    Hello

I just connected Dynadock (DVI) with my Portege R500. The cell would be supported - according to Toshiba - but my experience confirms that Dynadock is not able to access the DVI ports. This implies, that Dynadock is nothing more than the USB HUB.

My setup: Vista 32 company b (CZE edition), the latest patches, Toshiba R500.

Software: latest dynadock software 2.3 c.

Symptom: I can't connect to the remote DVI monitor via the dynadock, there are only two external panels with 800 x 600, but Vista does not allow me to choose.

More information: software Dynadock requires to run without Microsoft Defender, otherwise it blocks the service: DisplayLinkService; file:C:\Program Files\DisplayLink base Software\DisplayLinkService.exe
If you turn off the MSDef, the "error 2738" message appears when you connect the dynadock and when Vista tries to install a missing drivers for you.
Yes, I know the VBS question and the problem is not caused by VisualBasic - VBS "Hello World" runs.

If you think always, Toshiba Dynadock is compatible with Toshiba R500, then press Fn + F5 and look at your logs and you should find something like:
In English: igfxext.exe throws an exception 0xc000000d, offset 0x0000f9f8.

I look forward to the comments, advice etc. If you are able to transmit this bug report to a responsible engineer, do please.

    Hello Leo

As far as I know, Toshiba has not designed for laptops models own only Dynadock and it can be used on every laptop or fixed. Because of this, I think that this statement about model of care is not so important for this problem.

Toshiba provides devices and software. To connect using the USB port, and these ports must each computer or laptop. I hope that you have installed the software by following the on-screen instructions (device of should not be connected to the start-up of the plant).

Is your Portege docked the host or you have connected Dynadock directly in Portege s USB port?

  • Simulate the entry

    Hello

To check my software, I want to simulate some signals on the entrance of the simulated NIDAQmx Council. Is this possible?

I created the jury simulated in NI MAX, but I know not how to simulate the signal on the inputs and run my software (in C language) in order to acquire the data.

    Thank you

Theinput signal of the simulated device is built-in, you can't change it. It is better to write your own piece of code that simulate the signal.
