  You can try to maximize the windows and close it. Try to open it again and see if you can get a view full-screen.

  Sorry for your problems. Since you're under OS X 10.10.5, you can check the permissions of the Adobe folder and perform the basic troubleshooting steps Mac.   If that doesn't help, try a system restore. First save your device via iTunes. Also import your photos on your computer and copy all the data if possible.
