  OK, so I had to download the Adobe Creative Suite Cleaner tool and read the "README" doc first and uninstalled the files properly (instead of just deleting), and then I used the cleaning tool. Worked like a charm! Now I can reinstall the programs again!

• Streets & trips 2010 download will not open on my or my wifs computer (both have vista)

  I was trying to open the free trail of streets & trips 2010 but it does not open. Looks like it is downloaded ok (when I go to properties it says that the file is of 1.32 GB) but whenever I try to open it, he keeps trying to install it or he only asks me if I want to uninstall or install, when I try to open it.   I bought the upgrade of Lightroom6 a week ago and it runs, but when opening a message came: Adobe Application Manager, needed to verify your license is missing or damaged. Please download a new copy of Adobe Application Manager of http://www.adobe.com/go/applicationmanager. I clicked on the message box and open Lightroom 6. Now, it does not open, and I downloaded application manager.  However, I can't install it. It's just a zip called setup, with a folder called payloads and a single file, which none work. Thank you.

  When I download files (.pdf, .rar, .txt, or other) of the sites the more a dialogue window opens asking me what I want to do with this file, for example open with utiliy by default for this type of file, or save the file to the local disk.

  This doesn't seem to work on some websites however. Especially trying to download a file .mkv does not open the usual dialog box and fills just my page with the text encoding which is well above my paygrade.

  I'm not at all familiar with .mkv and quirks or personalities that she may have, so I guess my first question is, do I need some sort of additional FF plugin to download this file type or is it a fault with the configuration of the Web sites concerned?

  I understand that Internet Explorer 8 is automatically downloaded to your computer from Windows update and that you want to remove and want to return to Internet Explorer 7.

  Internet Explorer 8 is an updated version of the browser that comes with many additional features. Here is a link that will give you information about the features available in Internet Explorer 8:

  It is recommended that you install for your browser up to date.

  However, if you still don't want to install this, there 2 ways you can try to delete the downloaded update.

  All updated the download file would be saved in the folder "software Distrubution. Here are the steps to delete the downloaded update file:

  1. stop the automatic updates service:

  Start > Search > services.msc (enter) > [OK]
  Double-click Automatic Updates > click Stop
  (Stopping the service will take a moment)

  2 remove the contents of the download folder:

  Start > Search > (enter) %windir%\SoftwareDistribution > [OK]
  Open the download folder and delete its contents
  Close the window.

  3. go to the Windows Update Web site > select CUSTOM and allow complete analysis > uncheck / deselect, update the driver, and then 'hide' ("don't show me this update").

  4. start the automatic updates service:

  Start > run > services.msc (enter) > [OK]
  Double-click Automatic Updates > click Start
  (Starting the service will take a moment)

  The second method would be to hide updates.

  Open Control Panel
  Open Security Center
  Click Automatic updates
  On the screen that shows set to the point in downloading, but let me choose when it is installed.
  Press on apply or OK and exit
