  If you are doing it programmatically, you can call invoke the bluetooh pairing application [so calling by default generated in the application of BB]. After that you can write using the bluetooth serial port to transfer the data.

  Can someone tell me why my Blackberry Curve is not able to receive photos etc via Bluetooth from my computer or my xoom Tablet? I get the message, this device not supported or the file was not sent.  Check the computers and problem not with them.  Talked to the phone service provider mobile and not tell them, say computer must need to be modernised.  Running 7 and Vista on my 2 computers and no luck, very frustrating because I can send to computers.  Help please kanyone. x

  Technically, BT file transfer is officially supported between two BBs. But see this KB:

  • KB05409 Transfer a file using Bluetooth technology between two BlackBerry smartphones

  Replace the instructions appropriate for your other device instead of the transmitter unit KB section in the KB. Unless you're on BB OS 6, do not jump 'BT help to receive' step on the BB receiver... nothing will transfer if you do.

  The problem is resolved.  I forgot to make sure that Bluetooth sharing is enabled in Mac preferences.

  I tried to transfer the ringtone to a phone Samsung on my BB.  After a successful pairing, the Samsung phone displays a "transfer failed" message on its screen.  I tried to transfer a file from my BB to this same phone home was a success.  Any ideas?

  I can't transfer or send files from my Sony Ericsson phone to my BB using bluetooth. My BB pairs and says connected but when I try to send MP3 ringtones to my phone for example SE to my BB Phone it does not work, but when I send from my BB to my SE phone contacts as it works. I played with it for 2 days now, since I bought it and I couldn't. Help?

  Then the screen asks for a password so I enter "oooo". Can someone tell me what I'm supposed to do next?

  Should not be an option to press 'enter' or 'ok' pairing?

  If you try to send a picture/video/mp3/ringtone you must go in your media folder, press the bb button and select receive bluetooth (this is done after that 2 devices have been matched)

  Hi all, I have an old SIM contacts on this issue how would synchronize these contacts on the phone, so I did not hasve to spend hours typing all contacts

  Unfortunately, it's just how it works. SIM cards have a much less robust AddressBook that does the BB; they store an entry to a phone number. As such, when they are imported into a more robust address book (as BB), you end up with this result. The only thing to do is to get in a PIM on PC (for example, Outlook) and make handling it, then re - sync back to the BB and it's going to be clean again.

  I have no problem to Z30 Z10 file transfer, but it won't work on Z10 Z30.

  When asked to choose the device from the Bluetooth window slides to the right and nothing happens.

  Recently joined the world of BlackBerry and love my camera! Hooked on Applications and bought a WiFi File transfer among approx. BBCool others. They claim that the 8330 w / OS 4.5 is compatible but I'm unable to get an IP address from my laptop. Is there something that I am missing? Contacted the creator of the app and it says that it is not sure if the 8330 supports WiFi, Should'nt he knows?   You will see that the 8330 is indeed not a WiFi radio. So, if what you're trying (I have no idea what a "WiFi File Transfer App") requires a BB with WiFi, then the 8330 is not capable of that.
