SMO NetApp ORA-00119 (Local_Listener) ORA-00132: Net syntax error / name
HelloI myself have killed on it for days and have searched the forum after forum without results. Here is the configuration:
(1) a production of database Oracle running 10.2.0.5 with a listener running on the Port of 1690. Solaris 10 Sparc.
(2) NetApp Oracle Manager Snap 3.2
(3) two Snap index Repository Manager on a separate binary install of Oracle 10.2.0.5 listens on ports 1521 and 1522. (Same host)
Orders and questions.
I was able to create the repositories very well and was able to take snapshots of databases all three. When it came time to run a preview of a Snap Restore, both instances of repository provided to ports 1521 and 1522 on other respective databases to get a restoration plan. It worked if the bodies were facing upwards or downwards. The listeners were obviously upward. Two repositories share the same TNS_ADMIN and ORACLE_HOME - separate spfiles and data files.
When the time came to get a glimpse of the restoration of the production database, he showed the right plan, when the database has increased. The listener has increased and it showed JDBC hit once. When the production database is down, the preview has tried to knock three times the production database with JDBC and failed to make a [STARTUP NOMOUNT]. The TNS_ADMIN is not shared with the repository databases. Here is the command and the error.

The production database is in place for six years and has no problem when connecting as sysdba so I don't think it is quite the problem. There must be something simple. It works * * when the database is running, but not when it is stopped. It should work.

What are your production server tnsnames.ora entries. I missed those?
The error means generally you attach to use a friendly name for local_listener in the boot parameters, but to have not configured in the tnsnames file.
Another option is to not use name friendly and instead the full entry.
ALTER system set local_listener = '(ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = tcp) (HOST = test-NDDB) (PORT = 1690))' scope = spfile;
Rebound of the instance

Well, I'm trying to install data guard and this error I get on the standby server. The listener preceding is also the same.
Help, please.
concerningI'm not very clear on that... Kindly explain... what exactly needs to add, delete or modify.
Follow the link, it shows why and how LOCAL_LISTENER needs a specifications in the tnsnames.ora. You don't have a problem with the native listener.

ORA-28547: connection to the server has failed, probable Oracle Net admin error
Hello
Environment
Oracle Database 11g Enterprise Edition Release 11.2.0.1.0 - 64bit Production PL/SQL Release 11.2.0.1.0 - Production CORE 11.2.0.1.0 Production TNS for Linux: Version 11.2.0.1.0 - Production NLSRTL Version 11.2.0.1.0 - Production
I'm ORA-28547: failed to connect to the server, probable Oracle Net admin error when connecting to the database as username/password@orcl,If, I do not @orcl it connects without any problems. But I can't connect from client machines without dbstring.
This problem started recently, and I understand that it is because of the dynamic ip of the linux machine. Previously the Linux m/c ip was 172.25.210.177 unfortunately was launched once the machine ip has changed in 172.25.210.148.
To bring the database up I started as usual and got to the top, but when connecting db with the above error is being username/password@orcl.
To solve the i changed the ip address in tnsnames.ora and listener.ora but no luck. Please advice how to solve.
It will run until the next change of the ip address. If you want a permanent solution, you must assign a static ip address. Why is your dynamic ip address? What is a local testbox.foobar.com or a production system that must be accessible to other systems?

ORA-28547: connection to the server failed, probable Oracle Net admin error.
Dear all,
My11gR2 database on windows 2008 R2 Standard is in error "ORA-28547: connection to the server failed, probable Oracle Net admin error.
It's when I try to log on to the server itself
as:

"ORA-28547: failed to connect to the server, likely admin error Oracle Net.
This started happening when the server has been restarted. I don't know if I have to stop any service, as in some cases under Linux should be stopped service iptables.
The solution I found on most of the forums is to change in sqlnet.ora since '#SQLNET. AUTHENTICATION_SERVICES = (NTS) 'to' #SQLNET. AUTHENTICATION_SERVICES = (NONE)"and restart the receiver.
But even if it doesn't in my case.
Kindly help.
Best regards, Imran
Guys, there are 2 databases installed on the same server, to correctly configure the SID. Once set, I could see that the database is down and when starting it started working well.
Thanks for your efforts.

This error is due to wrong settings of the SMTP server. Oracle, very probably has nothing to do with it. If I remember correctly, you are using Gmail for her. I guess there is a problem with it. Try with some other parameters of the field. I'll try to use the same with my own domain name. In the meantime, enjoy these two link.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Also, can you pls tell me if this command run once automatically activates the my_plan after 1 minute, 1 minute, after which, it will disable the my_plan? So, you do not need to create a JOB for this. If you create a window, that is, as a job creation to enable an RM plan?

PL/SQL procedure successfully completed.
Problem is, after 1 minute, always that the plan is not activated?
SQL > SEE THE RESOURCE_MANAGER_PLAN PARAMETER
VALUE OF TYPE NAME
------------------------------------ ----------- ----------------------
resource_manager_plan chain
Why the Plan is not activated after 1 minute. Have we not create a job (I don't think).
I think you misunderstand the meaning of "start_date". Please see the documentation on what this means exactly.
This attribute specifies the first date and time where it is scheduled to open in this window. If the value
start_date
specified is in the past or is not specified, the window opens, from its inception.To repeat windows using an expression of the calendar to specify the repetition interval, the value of
start_date
is a reference date. The first time the window opens depends on the specified repeat interval and the value ofstart_date
.(From Types and Oracle® packages of PL/SQL Database 11g Release 2 (11.2) reference E40758-03); dbms_scheduler, create_window. DBMS_SCHEDULER
Once you have done this, you will see that it is pretty useless to specify that you have.
Your repeat_interval said "every day at 10:30.

UTL. MAIL error ORA-29279: SMTP permanent error: 501 syntax of address error in
Hello
I'm new to the forum please excuse if I post not properly without standards.
We need to send mails using the UTL. MAIL package and installed them on the database.
Whenever I try to send an email, I get the following error:
ERROR on line 1:
ORA-29279: SMTP permanent error: 501 syntax of address error in

ORA-06512: at "SYS." UTL_MAIL", line 654
ORA-06512: at "SYS." UTL_MAIL", line 671
ORA-06512: at line 2
The test code that I am running is:
BEGIN
UTL_MAIL. Send (sender = > 'test < [email protected] >',)
recipients = > "[email protected]"
subject = > 'test UTL_MAIL subject. "
message = > "UTL_MAIL test body");
END;
I tried different combinations:
BEGIN
UTL_MAIL. Send (sender = > "test"< [email protected] >"")
recipients = > "[email protected]"
subject = > 'test UTL_MAIL subject. "
message = > "UTL_MAIL test body");
END;
even tried
BEGIN
UTL_MAIL. Send (sender = > '[email protected]',)
recipients = > "[email protected]"
subject = > 'test UTL_MAIL subject. "
message = > "UTL_MAIL test body");
END;
Whenever I get the same error.
It seems to work with a server exchange e-mail, but never on the SMTP server.
In the SMTP address of the sender server logs is not to have the <>of brackets unlike other emails that are sent to the course.
It seems that the SMTP server is quite strict and the SMTP administrator will change all the settings on the server.
The version of oracle is as follows
Oracle Database 11 g Release 11.2.0.1.0 - 64 bit Production
Could you please help me with a solution.
Some how the brackets are undressing (which usually UTL MAIL package), is it possible that I can include the brackets.

Published by: 984757 on January 29, 2013 02:57I don't like UTL_MAIL - UI abstraction clumsy and poor and not very well written.
Had a look at the code. It does this:
WHILE (ALL_RCPTS IS NOT NULL) LOOP UTL_SMTP.RCPT(MAIL_CONN,'<' || GET_ADDRESS(ALL_RCPTS) || '>'); END LOOP;
The process function GET_ADDRESS() ALL_RCPTS parameter, returns the address 1 of him and updates (in and out) parameter with the remaining string.

If this isn't the case-maybe then our UTL_MAIL versions do not match. I don't remember what version I pulled and unpacked UTL_MAIL package code I have.
Personally, I stopped using the UTL_MAIL earlier. Missing in may points. I wrote my own e-mail package that supports multiple attachments, formatting complex Mime, attachments of 20 + MB in size and so now - running on the UTL_SMTP interface (which provides for mail transport layer). And for the problems you are having, I suggest considering using UTL_SMTP directly.

CJMAssuming that you are still connected to the same SMTP server, this means that the SMTP server intermittently is down or inaccessible (at least on the port that you are using). Most likely, it would be a problem to address to the administrator of the mail server even if it could be an intermittent network problem.

I am trying to use the Case statement to recode the status canceled in two groups
"Reject" If the difference between the date of the first and the last date is less than 29 and
'Accept' if the difference between the date of the first and the last date is greater than 30
Here's my data 'test'
STATUS FIRST_DATE LAST_DATE
Transfer / / 10/08/2011-10/09/2011
Mover 10/08/2011-15/09/2011
Cancel the 16/09/2011 10/08/2011
Cancel the 10/08/2011 5/09/2011
Here's the syntax
Select a.*,
(CASE WHEN a.STATUS = 'Cancel' CAN (round(a.LAST_DATE-a.FIRST_DATE))
0 OTHERWISE
END CAN_DAYS),
(BOX WHEN "CAN_DAYS" > 29 THEN "reject"
WHEN "CAN_DAYS" < 30 THEN "accept."
Reject_Accept END)
try one
The first CASE statement works very well and gives me this
STATUS FIRST_DATE LAST_DATE CAN_DAYS
Transfer 0 10/08/2011-10/09/2011
Mover 0 10/08/2011-15/09/2011
Cancel the 37 16/09/2011 10/08/2011
Cancel the 26/10/08/2011 5/09/2011
but the LATTER product ORA-01722: invalid number error. It's something to do with the type of data CAN_DAYS, Oracle does not see in the Numeric form I think.
I want to see result
STATUS FIRST_DATE LAST_DATE CAN_DAYS Reject_Accept
Transfer 0 10/08/2011-10/09/2011
Mover 0 10/08/2011-15/09/2011
Accept to cancel 37 10/08/2011-16/09/2011
Refuse to cancel the 26/10/08/2011 5/09/2011
Could someone please help me fix the syntax?
Thank you in advance,Hello
The error is due to the fact that you are trying to compare "CAN_DAYS", which cannot be regarded as a number, a number.
You can try this option for your results:select A.STATUS, A.FIRST_DATE, A.LAST_DATE,case when a.status ='Cancel' then round(a.last_date - a.first_date) else 0 end as can_days, case when (a.status ='Cancel' and round(a.last_date - a.first_date) > 29) then 'Reject' when (a.status ='Cancel' and round(a.last_date - a.first_date)< 30) then 'Accept' else null end as Accept_Reject from test a

The output of ls - lrt is in the path $ORACLE_HOME\dbs onlyWe also have the database version 10.2.0.4 that the spfile even uses everyday cold backup of the database.
also, I put the 777 permission to the file.
OK, I guess there will be corruption of the SPFILE as if edited manually or in any other cases too.
You have a backup of SPFILE? backup of the file PFILE or?
then starting using this SPFILE, if any backup then start with PFILE and then create SPFILE from PFILE.
Otherwise, you can copy the contnets of the parameters of the alert log file initialization and paste in the editor and the instance of starutp.
These are the options.
