Some of my addons disappear when I restart my Windows7

I have install the addons (e.g. adblock more, Restorer of classic theme, Noscript, Scrapbook) and when I shut down Windows and start again, the addons disappeared in Firefox. I'm using Firefox 29.0.1
Other addons like IE Tab will remain and are not affected.
I have restored Firefox to its original state, installed brand-new stays and the problem.

Sometimes a problem with Firefox can be a result of malware installed on your computer, you may not be aware of.

You can try these free programs to search for malicious software that work with your existing anti-virus software:

Microsoft Security Essentials is a good permanent antivirus for Windows 7/Vista/XP, if you do not already have one.

  • Why the data in my database disappears when I restart Tomcat?

I have a DPL Berkeley DB database that I use for a Web application that is running under Tomcat. I can store data in the database and get it back, but when I restart Tomcat and the data have gone. In my view, that the problem is that the data is in memory, it is never written to disk, so it is not persistent across reboots. I think that this, because when I write the data to the database, the size of the files in the data files does not change.

My database is not transactional, nor in writeback mode.

What else could cause this problem? I'm completely stumped.

If the environment/store is not transactional (you do not call setTransactional (true)), then the data can be sustainable only equal to 1) you call Environment.sync, 2) a control point is executed by the thread of checkpointer I background or your application, 3) you close the environment itself, that will make a control point.

I suspect that you do not close the environment when you shut down your server.

You can take a look at the writing transactional Applications. He described the durability more in detail.

  • New toolbar always disappears when Firefox restarts

I add a new toolbar (right-click on the toolbars, then on 'Customize'), give it a name and put some buttons on it.

The new toolbar is visible and active and can be seen, for example, in the View/Toolbars menu.

However, when I quit firefox and start it again - after that, the new toolbar is gone. Even in toolbars display that is not listed more, that is, it is not a problem to be disabled, but it disappeared completely.

  • Plugins installed disappear when I restart my computer

I am running Firefox 3.6.13. I had a file corruption problem and had to reformat the image of the factory and then reinstall all my software. I used mozbackup firefox backup settings. I have restored and he handed my favorites and passwords very well, but my extensions and plugins have been not been resettled. Now, I reinstalled the extensions several times. However, whenever I restart my computer becomes all uninstalled again. I can open and close firefox without what is happening, but restarting the computer is another story.

Delete the files extensions.* (extensions.rdf, extensions.cache, extensions.ini, extensions.sqlite) and compatibility.ini in the Firefox profile folder to reset the extensions registry. New files will be created if necessary.

    See "extension corrupted files": http://kb.mozillazine.org/Unable_to_install_themes_or_extensions

If you see extensions disabled, is not compatible, in "tools > Modules > Extensions ' then click on the 'Find updates' button (in Firefox 4: right click on the extension-> 'Find updates') to do a compatibility check.

  • I downloaded programs to see when I restart the computer they went

I have a new computer with windows premium 7.

I installed nero and downloaded other programs such as google, that they seemed to be installed with the icons on the desktop, disappear when I restart the computer

Thanks Mike P, I'm sure in the future that all added to the computer is 64-bit application.  Good advice! The problem is almost solved, it seems that the Asus motherboard needed a patch and by some miracle, a Council came through just after the announcement of this complaint.  I turned on the computer this morning, it has pulled up directly on windows without needing a disk of slow start, but it works now!

  • I removed some of the buttons on my toolbar, but they keep reappearing when I restart Firefox.

I have already reset Firefox to its default setting and now I'm trying to customize it again to go back the way I had it. But every time after I remove the navigation toolbar buttons they reappear when I restart Firefox. The buttons are for the addon of readability and I disabled the in the settings of the addon, but I want that they disappeared from the toolbar altogether.

The solution above did not work for me. So I tried this instead.

Go about: config and find the browser.uiCustomization.stateflag. In its value (a string) remove any entry that has "readability" inside (it should be three of them for the three buttons).

Click OK and restart FF and the buttons will remain deleted.

    Good luck.

  • I installed forecastfox to toolbar addon. bar shows up as expected when I restart firefox, the forecastfox doesn't charge. Did I miss a "SAVE" button?

    Forecastfox 2.3.3
The Bar of the Addon (restored) 3.2.1
I had to install these because that firefox has dropped at the helm of the addon when I upgraded. These are the same versions that are on my other computer. Firefox and addons play well together.
The bar addon installed and appears when I run firefox, I added fox planned to add on bar via the button CUSTOMIZE by dragging the icon for forecastfox until the toolbar. Then you click on CUSTOMIZATION of OUTPUT. Forecastfox is in the toolbar and is operational. However, when I restart Firefox, the toolbar begins but the forecastfox does NOT work. Help me please.

Well, whatever. It was very good work. Play well.

  • Why my addons disappeared suddenly

If, for some strange reason my addons disappeared. One day they were there and the next day they were gone. I don't know what is happening. I tried to look in several different folders and there is still no sign of one of my addons. So, where are they all? Why would they suddenly disappear?

    Hi brandon236,

    have you checked
    C:\Users\ < username > \AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\ < yourprofile > \extensions?

Your modules should be there? Otherwise, check the firefox profiles folder
    C:\Users\ < username > \AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles?
Search other profiles and look for the extensions folder. Can be a reason for any you have changed your profile?

That's all I can answer you. Good luck!

  • Gow I stop Firefox from opening a Web site that crashed or stop it when I restart?

Sometimes a Web site is not responding, I close firefox manually, usually a c; tab dare on my windows pc. When I restart firefox, it goes back to this site, rather than 'well, it's embarrassing...'. y at - it a way to stop this. When I close my firefos, I have it set to clear the history. You helpr oe can shed some light?
    Thank you.

Firefox will automatically try to restore the tabs and windows from last session if an accident occurred or Firefox does not close properly the last time.
If the session blocks once, then you will get the page "well, it's embarrassing" (topic: sessionrestore) the next time you start Firefox.
You can set the pref browser.sessionstore.max_resumed_crashes to 0 on the subject: config page in order to get the about: sessionrestore page immediately with the first start after a collision has occurred or the Task Manager was used for the closing of Firefox.

This way, you see if the previous session is not close properly or it crashed and deselects the tabs that you do not want to reopen, but will reopen the other tabs.
If you cannot start Firefox, then you can add this line to the file prefs.js to prevent Firefox to restore the last session automatically.
    user_pref ("browser.sessionstore.max_resumed_crashes", 0);

  • Your site says I'm using the latest version, but I was invited for a patch that will install when I restart. Now I'm thinking that it was false. Was it?

I am running version 32. I was invited by what seemed to be the usual way, that there is an important security update. For some reason, I felt uneasy and decided to go to Firefox directly where it says "Congratulations, you are running the latest version.". There don't seem to be anyway to keep all that prompted me to 'day' when I restart Firefox. No one knows where on my Mac, I could find the file downloaded, so I can delete it before I restart Firefox? OR did someone knows if exit Firefox and all my other programs and restart my machine will take care of this issue?

There is an intermediate update numbered Firefox 32.0.1, so maybe it's that invited you in. I'm thinking about where you can check this that downloaded and is pending.

Maybe if you display the dialog box 'About' he will mention if an official update is pending?
