  You can save a document in PDF format word in Vista?

  N ° there is no program in Vista to convert a Word document to PDF format.  However, you can get programs that will do that.  I think it's possible with the free OpenOffice Suite at www.openoffice.org.  See the image on page 5 of http://documentation.openoffice.org/manuals/oooauthors2/0103GS-FileManagement.pdf when one of the options is export to PDF.

• a Table of contents a hyperlink in the Pages can be exported to PDF Format, and there is still work?

  We wrote a history of 96 page of our community and have a vast hyperlink of contents table which works fine so that in the Pages.

  But when we export it file to PDF Table of contents is no longer a hyperlink

  Pages v5.6.2 does not PDF export with functional links in the Table of contents. Pages ' 09 v4.3 exports PDFS with active hyperlinks in the Table of contents. Both tested on OS X 10.11.5.

  It's all or nothing, and PDF is not useful for editing. Then find a tool to download HTML, change it to remove what you don't want and convert to PDF format. You can sort it to yourself.

• Overprint fill changes at check-in PDF format?

  Hoping that someone could help me understand how I can maintain the appearance of overprint, I asked a few elements of a document. When I save it as a PDF for the customer, overprinting essentially loses his appearance - as if I didn't even "overprint" applied in the document.

  my thought is that you may be using color and it really isn't a such thing as overprinting process color in a normal job in four colors.

  So what you'd multiply but then who should show.

  If you have the text defined for a recovery, then you should turn on overprint preview to see what it will actually look like.

  But what about explaining a problem it may seem pretty thorough for you, but we are not in front of your computer and it is very difficult to understand what you see in front of you if you don't tell us all the steps you have taken to create the art before you set to overprint and what it is superimposed on.

  Word Pad is for "Rich Text".  It will show in this way if you try to open "Plain text" use Notepad for plain text.  Experiment a little, write something in Wordpad and save it, then write something in Notepad and save it. Try to open in the opposite format.

  When browsing through my file manager to search for files, I used to be able to see an overview of all of the PDF files I had saved.
  I can still see the 'old' created previously, but my latest files show just a black square with Adobe "A" in the lower right corner or sometimes an Adobe large 'A' on a white field with 'PDF' at the top left.
  Seeing a thumbnail allows to find your file according to me, anyone know why I don't get them more or how to get back them. (Save a thumbnail option is checked for normal word documents, but not visible upon registration of PDF.

  It seems that by default is not selected, and I suggest you perform the steps.

  I think that what I want is not possible, but I don't know until I try...  I have a template that we use a lot in our marketing material that seems not good on the screen during the export of smaller file size.  Is there a way that I could export a PDF file with just that image or the page that it is set to a higher resolution?  It justified for the moment if I export the page separately and combine again in Acrobat afterwards.

  Have you tried playing with the PDF export settings? Specifically, if

  you're the subsampling this pattern, try a different subsampling method.

  For example, if there is a lot of fine lines in the image, try the nearest

  Neighbour to keep those. This can have a significant effect on an image and a

  negligible effect on others, so maybe this is what you need. Just a

  shooting in the dark without actually seeing the images in question.

• Illustrator ignoring lines dotted in PDF format

  I exported a dotted line of some software of CAD (KASEMAKE) in PDF format.

  When seen in acrobat and zoomed in, you can clearly see the dashes.

  When you open in Illustrator, it comes in a solid line.

  Corel Draw open correctly too.

  Open a file WAS empty. Place the PDF file (not open), that LINK is checked.

  Once placed, go to object > flatten transparency and ensure that the cursor is completely over vector.

  Then object > clipping mask > release and then separate and remove the pointless box and you will have your line.

  There are a lot of options "Print to PDF" there.  Many are free.  Some are not.  Some applications can SAVE to the PDF format natively (such as Microsoft Office, Google Chrome, etc.)

  Any version of Acrobat Standard or Acrobat Pro to do this. These are commercial software (a cool weather or subscription).  The free Adobe Reader or Acrobat Reader cannot do this.

• Some items on the page will not be printed - even in pdf format!

  I'm kinda a newbie on Indesign (much better in Photoshop) and this is driving me crazy.  It's never happened before.

  I have a two page CMYK document.

  A part of the text (modified with pen base, transparency and angle) and the graphic still refuses printing, our laser printer or even in pdf format.

  A page prints perfect, the only other partially prints.  Both images and text.

  Any thoughts?

  If you want to make a PDF, export (to say "High quality print") do not print in PDF format.  Then try to print.  It could be that your printer is having problems with transparency should contribute to the export to PDF format.  You may need to use the parameter PDFx-1a if your printer drivers are quite old.

  If they are not there in the exported PDF objects may have a nonprintable attribute set, you can see this by selecting the element and looking at the attributes Panel.
