• Sony Smartwatch 3 - gone rubber flap! Help!

  The rubber flap that seals the USB charger access has disappeared from my smartwatch 3 those who know where I could order a replacement? Called Sony, but it didn't help much to get there.

  The rubber seal is added for aesthetic reason for the USB just wont stay open, because it would be terrible.

  However, the usb port is a port without "Cap." I don't know why sony said that the port must be closed. The port is not the same version to make the sealed flap. There isn't any silicone around (like sw2 Rabat) the flap is just a part that fits into the port, but does not impermeable to water. My watch has been several times in the water and I see her wet inside the port. Ive contacted sony and they said "we prefer to be closed" and "its normall see water inside the port" badly trying to find the email and take a screenshot of what they were saying.

  Just to add, the part that goes into the usb port has an opening that allows water in bad certainly take a picture and send it.

• SmartWatch SW2 not working only not with the LG Swift L9?

  OK, I've had something similar with previous Smartwatch (MN2), but I had hopes to go with SW2.

  LG Swift L9 is 4.1 (JBean). SW2 is *. B.0.25 (ALREADY updated with the latest, via a soft PC/cable and Sony Update Service).

  So here's how it is:
  -J' managed to pair with me LG9.

  -demand for Smart Connect (on the idle screen) so I install it from the game.

  -by opening Smart Connect on the phone, asking questions about SW2 app, once again - I install it from the game.

  -then what happens, is that I get the white rectangle on a gray background on the screen of smartwatch and SHE.

  -the only thing to recover/restart of the process is to reset the watch, try to pair again, that works, but immediately after, if I'm only smartconnect - I get the white rectangle on a gray background.

  Any ideas? Suggestions?

  My Sony - its advertised to work with 4 + smartphones Android, LG Swift L9 is such a smartphone. If it turns out to be a blocker - I'm going to Pebble (assuming that if he only works with LG L9)- AND WILL NEVER LOOK BACK.

  I wanted to stick with Sony, because I am a dev, and Sony seems to provide more structured SDK/API for this product by comparing to other smartwatches (with relatively pleasant store Play integration). But * beep *, know all this im lose confidence... (and patience).

  PS Yes - I called Sony support UK already, but they seem clueless. It seems that these guys here never had the SW2 in their hands.

  OK, looks like I solved my problem, then post it here - if someone comes barely similar.

  I took my SW2 to a colleague with another motive than mine (I think it's Samsung Galaxy something SII, also with Android 4 +). Then we paired up, and then, surprisingly - SW2 downloaded a SW update, got the upgrade to this 1.0. * slash 1.0. * version and the work began with his phone. Then we odd he reset the SW2 and paired with my phone - and it worked!

  Was apparently the version of SW2, I had initially was veeeeery old, old enough that didn't connect my LG L9 and old enough that my LG L9 might not even be updated. Once we have passed this point - everyhing works fine (at least for the last 5-6 hours).

  Problem solved then.

  The SW2 is not a device that will be detected as a connected external device - updates are performed via an update to the app and apps are done via the phone - so you can not transfer files simply load it via your laptop

  On your phone go to settings - Apps then swipe everything and then search for the application that you want to remove, and then press it and you should have an option to uninstall - loss this then the app will be removed from your phone and your watch and you need to perform a reset, the application will not automatically reinstall

  The speakers worked correctly between the update of El Capitan two weeks ago and today.  I did not any changes to the system since then.

  The sound preferences pane shows only the internal speakers as an output option.  The computer works properly in all other respects.

  I tried to reboot, reset the NVRAM, connecting headphones and Bluetooth reset via the Debug menu.  It seems the main symptom of the problem is the absence of Bluetooth as an output on the sound preference pane option, but I couldn't find any discussion about it.  (I assumed that Bluetooth speakers would be present as an option, although it does not mention preference help its component.)

  Try resetting the SMC... might help, can't hurt.
