  Hi try once like that select two guests of dashboard for example the year, half of the year.

  In the half-year prompt, click on the 'Options' tab and check "limit values per Option.

  In this option, you can select column 'year '. Then, you can get data from half of year year corresponding column.

• OBIEE dashboard how to set the default value of a prompt dynamically

  Hello

  I have a prompt that displays the quarter of the year. I want to put the default value of this prompt dynamically. So, if sysdate is between January and March, then fast should say 'Q1 '. If the month of sysdate is between April and June, then fast should say 'Q2'... etc.

  I set the default selection of the prompt SQL suite and put in the following code:

  SELECT BOX WHEN EXTRACT (MONTH FROM sysdate) IN (1,2,3) and THEN "Q1" double WHEN RETRIEVED (MONTH OF sysdate) (4,5,6) and THEN "Q2" double WHEN RETRIEVED (MONTH OF sysdate) (7,8,9) THEN "Q3" double ELSE 'T4' LATE double

  However, it seems not be soon and there is no default value. I was just wondering what I'm doing wrong. Thank you!

  I use obiee 11g
  
  Based on the prompt value in him would like to show 3 different analayses.
  I mean that if the value of guest in the page has as abc data it should show the anlaysis1
  If the prompt value data as def it should show the anlaysis2
  If the prompt value data as the IGS, it should show the anlaysis3
  If the prompt value data as jkl it should show the anlaysis3
  
  Why 3 diff analysis is because I have my list 2 columns in each anayaiss and they are 3 different tables.

  You can have n number of reports, simply use the union all in the dash prompt sql results and this will give you the choice to select any report you want.

  In a dashboard, in a section using the prompt of commands and other section with the image object or the link and the given path was for a query created in the responses. The dashboard looks like a prompt command and below the link to the application.
  
  If I enter the prompt value, click on the link-> the pop up window and view the report but does not filter the data according to the prompt value.
  So, it is possible to do like that? If it is please share how to do this?

  Do not use the link or Image. Use the Guid. NAV. oppose instead. Link or Image may open in a new window, but the guests are not passed. GUID. NAV. object passes guests, which is what you want, but can not open in a new window.

• How to use the prompt value in the column of the report

  I have a quick report column which is 'Adj Type' that contains values 10,20,30, and when the user selects Adj Type = 10, this value should be passed on to the column of the report.
  
  For example. Value in column 1 is 10 and this should multiple with the prompt value and production is expected to be 10 * 10.
  
  Ideas how to capture the prompt values in the column of the report for the calculation.

  (1) declare a presentation online in the section variable set Variable--> Variable--> P_var presentation

  (2) in Fx Table_name. Your_column * @{P_Var}

  @{P_var} {20} (20 is the default, it replaces when a user selects the value in the command prompt

  I am facing a very unusual problem in my report.
  
  The value "Not specified" continues to display until in the prompt drop-even if does not really exist in the database.
  This value 'Unspecified' refers to the value NULL.
  
  I tried to use a filter on this field with filter ' is not Null', but this does not worked either. "
  
  I'm stuck.

  Try this simple thing:
  for your ground quickly in the design, select the results of sql under the option display and write a query as name of SELECT field OF... Name of the field WHERE NOT NULL.
  It's no need to filter in the report.

  I have a requirement where we invite dashboard that has three columns namely year, month, and report the name.
  The user will choose the name at the prompt report, once made the report that was selected should appear
  on the dashboard page and he should be able to select the data on the basis of the month and the year of it.
  
  Also, if the user wants to go to the other report it should be able to select in the guest and view it.
  
  Pls enlighten us on the way of progress on this issue. From now on, think that if something like this is possible, then it would definitley
  need two prompts a report name and one for the month and the year.

• How to sort the search results on several critiria

  We use 10gr 3 of the Complutense University of MADRID and on our search results page would like to sort the results returned based on several criteria. For example, first sort us on a field with possible values 1-9, then sort by modified date.

• How to sort the images in the shared album

  Hello, I just realized that all my photos (including shared albums) felt "sort" the value 'keep sorted oldest first' checked and grayed out.  I can't seem to find a way to sort my photos by 'added more recent' or 'most recent on top.  Any ideas why the sorting option is a) gray and b) how to change that.

• I had 26 successful updates for SQL Server 2005 SP3 KB970892, but I keep getting a yellow icon who invites me to install it. I uninstalled and reinstalled. I still get the prompt to install the update.

  I have Dell Dimension 8100 with Windows XP Home Edition that has Visual Studio 2005 Express installed that has SQL Server 2005 with her. I had a problem with Windows Update and will prompt to install SQL Server 2005 SP3 KB970892 since October 14,2009. I've uninstalled and reinstalled everything first and always kept getting the prompt, then I tried another solution that I got from a forum of symantec. I uninstalled the update again, and then I went into the registry to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL\Resume REG_DWORD and changed the value decimal from 1 to 0, installed the update and restarted the machine. It worked for the person who posted, but this has not worked for me. I waited a while hoping that Microsoft will come out with a fix for the next monthly update that has not yet happened. If anyone has a solution, please send an email to .   Master_table. Field2 is not necessary in this query.

  Did you take the corresponding values of trans_table.field2, sort them (so that you know that 2 is #1 on the list, since it is the smallest value, and 3 is the 2nd item in the list) and then join this number to master_table.filed2? If so, you can do this:

  I have an interactive report that returns results based on the: bind variable QUERY - I have a list of navigation on the side where all the elements to link to the current page with different values of request. The IR works fine until I try to sort the columns by clicking on the heading and selecting increasing / decreasing, how it returns no data available.
  
  It starts to work again if I change the last line of GOLD: REQUEST IS NOT NULL but this breaks the functionality of the report, I would like to return only selected articles or all if no query variable is present. I'm guessing that sort sets: ASK something temporarily and divides. My query is below, any ideas?

  There are problems with interactive reports referencing known: DEMAND value, probably due to an internal logic that manages also simultaneously - potentially cause a malfunction or blockages.

  A workaround that I learned is to create a calculation to assign: APPLICATION to a temporary element (a PXX_REQUEST, for example) and reference it in the query, instead of: ASK. This has worked well for me in my experience.

  What have you tried? What has gone wrong?

  I would implement a public method in the VO for example sortByName() and in this method, I would like to add an order by clause to the existing query and run the query. The db did sort it out for you. Publish the method in the client interface. This makes the method available in the datacontol for the user interface.
  On the page with you, panels, you drag and drop this method as recommended by the button. When you click on the button your data gets sorted.
