Spam or phishing email

Since I did some Microsoft updates that I will receive a notification that a Spam or phishing email has been detected, but it is not sent my junk e-mail folder.  I could lose a few emails that I might need.  What should I do about it?

Do not click on any links in them. If you wish, you can use a filter spam or rule to prevent them from getting to the Inbox, but this method can miss some or intercept legitimate messages.

I missed some notice to renew auto insurance. It seems that they sent me the notice. I'm just checking if AAA is blocked on a list of junk e-mail or spam. Mail from Windows that I'm headed towards is not active. It has nothing in it.  Where can I find the list of spam on my email?

Junk e-mail is put in a special folder in Winmail opener that you can access and display.  You can go to tools | Junk e-mail options and disable the junk mail filter, but which will leave just go it junk in your Inbox.  Filters spam or phishing filters do not remove the messages themselves.

I suspect that your problem is with your email provider.  Try to connect to their servers via webmail and you can find junk or the spam filters you can set here, separate from Windows Mail.

I opened 2 emails that were in the folder spam from my email and that each contained an attachment zip 2 k and 3 KB. As I could not open directly in my email, I opened the zip files with the "open in" another app option. When you open the zip files at this other app asked me if I wanted to extract zip files in a new folder, I have accepted, in both files .js (javascript) files there. I opened these .js inside this same application files and content files white text on black background and that seems to be a script file. My question is: my iPad Air has been compromised by a scam of viruses, such as the Trojan horse thieves and banking password especially as Dridex or Dyreza, the Trojans and ransomware as Locky, cryptolocker, or Teslacrypt. If that were the case, then what is the solution to get rid of these... Thank you.

Simply delete them. It is not possible to install anything on iOS using this method. For good measure, you can remove and reinstall the application allowing you to open it with, but I don't really have that is actually needed.

I suddenly started getting about 20 emails to spam a day in my iCloud email.  I got it for years and never a problem.

It seems this email (and others) have their origin in TB. Is this possible?

No, it isn't. My best guess is the message slipped through your ISP spam filter. You have a POP account, and the message is deleted from the server when you download with Thunderbird.

  • Email rec would have said that I did buy - is it real or a phishing email?

I just got an email saying that I bought $58.95 that I did not. The email looks very official from Apple, but I don't want to click on the 'If you did not authorize this transaction, click below' because I don't know if it's a phishing e-mail. The email referred to my Apple ID OK, but I did not take these purchases. He mentions that purchases come from "Durante IMac' - which I do not know. The email says it's from iTunes Store, but the sender's email address is [email protected]

If someone can confirm if this is indeed a phishing e-mail, because I don't want to click the link in this case. However, if my apple Id has been hacked, I don't want to get caught to pay nearly $60 for items I did not download.

    Thank you

    Jen
