• Apply Color LUT Speedgrade eye video causes disappear

  I am attempting to apply a LUT created in Speedgrade to sequences within After Effects. When I use "Apply color LUT" layer is no longer visible and RAM Preview stops working (head game is not progress).

  An update on this bug:

  One of our developers has spent some time watching this recently. He traced the problematic code and requested a fix. (The problem is a component of Adobe for the color that is shared among several applications, ACE Management).

  Until a fix is provided, you can work around the problem by using the Lumetri color effect in after effects CC 2015 (13.6), instead of applying the color LUT. Effects > utility > Lumetri color. In the effect of color Lumetri, open creative settings and changing of Look ahead, then choose the file. Take a look at.

• Broke the first / Speedgrade Workflow

  All updates for first CC after the 2015 base version is no longer a link button dynamic between the SpeedGrade project, which is the program I use for coloring. I advanced and downloaded the old version of first so now I have a version by 2015 and has installed separately 2015.3. I create my projects using 2015 and can then export to SpeedGrade very well, but there's a catch. Now, every time I save my coloring in SpeedGrade and try and it works at first, it records in the 2015.3 version, so it will not be open by 2015. While I open it in 2015.3, but the dynamic link to SpeedGrade disappeared, so if I want to update or add color through SpeedGrade, I have to save my sequence for Final Cut and then open 2015 and import everything and it is not always cooperative. The simple solution would be to destroy 2015.3 in an abyss of fire since the only noticeable update is they removed a key element, but the problem is that I have a lot of stray project files that require to open again and the only way to transfer via completely would be to check each my hundreds of files of project and export the timeline and re - register in 2015. The simple fact of the matter is that SpeedGrade integration literally deleted without reason after the 2015 version is completely unacceptable. I try to use a CC Adobe product with another product Adobe CC, it shouldn't be rocket science here.

  Adobe: for the love of God, can you PLEASE put SpeedGrade integration back in? Or at the very least, update SpeedGrade to NOT save projects in the bad first version that does not support yet? If you don't make changes on this in the next 30 days, I will be forced to change to a different program of color.

  Community: If anyone has any suggestions of workflow, I'm all ears. It's absolutely ridiculous. And does not suggest another color program, it is quite distinct to try something.

  Ah yes... There are a number of users (like me) in a similar situation. The official declaration that is the link directly between PrPro and Sg & return has been ignored because it did not seem as there were many users who still use it. UM. So the only way to register your disapproval of the choice with the people who actually make the decisions is to use bug/feature request report Adobe form. Higher level people don't come to that within Adobe system, this is considered as support to users. Declaration forms are tabulated and sent to all the right people.

  Which may or may not do what you & I prefer, but it's the way to get your feelings for them.

  PrPro/Sg 2015.3 solution Hack

  And a user has created an application (for a small fee) which seems to work well enough to change a 2015.3/4 PrPro project to a compatible Sg2015.1 header to work this project within Sg via drag & drop the file to the project on the application on your desktop (PC, I don't know if there's a Mac version). If you drag & drop a file 2015.1, then recorded off Sg on the app, he mods the header back to compatibility 2015.3/4 PrPro 2015.4 use.

• In the meantime media in Premiere Pro after the use of Speedgrade

  I recently finished color grading a sequence that I imported from Premiere pro using directlink. Everything went well in Speedgrade - I asked a LUT Cinestyle all my clips and made a few corrections using primary and secondary layers.

  After that, I have opened the sequence first and all the clips that have been classified as being waiting for media. If I turn off the Lumetri effect, media Meanwhile disappears and the images (classified) reappears and plays without problem. I cannot export something due "unknown compilation error.

  I use the latest versions of both programs and you encounter the same problem on Mac and PC.

  I've never had a problem with Speedgrade before like this. Someone else has a similar problem?

  I just solved this problem myself after a lot of headaches and a missed deadline. By my experiences, all used by SG lut must be copied in the folder of LUTs for first for a direct link to the first to work properly. On Windows, it's Program Files-> Adobe-> Adobe first Pro CC 2014-> Lumetri-> LUTs

• Outdoor color wheel dial disappeared

  SpeedGrade 2014.2

  Although the vertical sliders are still there, are more intuitive and I can use them, the outside dials in the color wheel disappeared. I have checked the update notes but can't find any reference to these removed voluntarily dials. I haven't used SpeedGrade recently so I can't say when this happened!

  I liked the outside wheels for luma also... and this is dang slick with my rig of Kensington trackball, with a 2-inch ball, surrounded by a ring. The rotating bezel adjusted luma, moving only the color wheel. Make Visual sense.

  But... in 2014, they did better than us! One of those never-saw-TI-asked-for "upgrades" to the UI, perhaps?

  According to them, only the outer ring was not as clear, obvious, and easy to use as a separate slider. The function is the same, a simple click and I can still use wheels & ring... but it was visually more sensible for me before.

• Why Speedgrade and AfterEffects has certainly declined to list of communities?

  Last week the list of 'Communities' disappeared for a few days, then resurfaced, but... with a short list of other forums 'communities '.

  In particular, the forums of Speedgrade and AfterEffects are is no longer with the link.

  As much as Adobe has NOT seen fit to list Speedgrade inside with 'popular' forums the only way to get there was using this link in the communities box OR by doing a full forum 'search'. Now, the only way to get there is to look for.

  This problem occurred when a person with administrator privileges to reset the forum, blowing all the pods of the info. Then, someone attempted to "fix" the situation by copy and paste the data from the Hardware forum. These people do not have to PM me on the error or the attempt to fix and is probably not of Adobe employees. I'm trying to remedy this situation, but it may take up to a week to fully iron out next.

  I'm on vacation this week, so please be patient as I clean up this mess. I'll work on that this week if I can, otherwise, next week.

• SpeedGrade 20141 crashes at startup when dual monostable display is enabled

  Just updated to Speedgrade 20141 and I got the message "Adobe Speedgrade 2014 has stopped working" immediately after the splashscreen.

  After that I uninstalled and reinstalled it, it worked fine. So, I loaded my custom settings and did a ranking. After trying to start again later, he crashed again. Another reinstall solved that, until the next boot after that and so on.

  I troubleshoot-made the problem and determined that Speedgrade now would crash at startup, whenever I would have to the dual display output on. If the dual display output is disabled, it starts normal without crashing. Since it is a standard installation without whom I can not grade, it is a major disappointment.

  It wasn't a problem with the original version of 2014.

  My system:

  Windows 8.1

  Intel i5 2500 k

  ATi R9 280 X 14.9 WHQL @Catalyst

  16 GB OF RAM

  I have my second monitor connected via HDMI.

  Thoughts?

  BTW, I like usually the update, especially all the great new features in the Official Journal and DirectLink improved and more robust workflow.

  The issue has suddenly disappeared, I can now start Speedgrade with output double display. No idea why, I wouldn't change anything.

  At 04:30 in this video, the authors said that the command send to SpeedGrade in Premiere Pro creates a file .ircp, as well as a folder of files to .dpx on the order of 2 GB for each 8 seconds of footage. In my first Pro project there is no command "send to SpeedGrade. It is a 'Direct from SpeedGrade Adobe link' order however; but this does not create a new .ircp file that I can tell.

  So, this means that this video is obsolete, that the command send to SpeedGrade he no longer exists, it has been replaced by the command of link Direct to Adobe SpeedGrade, and that users no longer have to worry of racking up massive records and heavy, .dpx files when you work between the two applications?

  'Send to SpeedGrade' was an old and inefficient order in CS6 and has now disappeared. Direct link is like say name a new method without interest or DPX files, is a direct link between the first and SG, where Pr serves as executives for the SG in the background, just and effective.

  This appears after 5 minutes or so, if I'm doing something in the program or not.

  It does not appear if I just create a project in Speedgrade and it disappears if I use software acceleration.

  But the GPU accel. in used Speedgrade currently just for projects using link Direct or it works also if you use stand-alone speedgrade? Has the same effect as in first, in other words, it accelerates the speed of playback with effects, applied degrees?

  I would lose a ton of performance if use it only with the accel software. ?

  Also Speedgrade maintains a log file for these errors somewhere? Could not find.

  A lot of people still can't get what is happening under the hood in the new model more CC video Adobe. I see quite a few comments here and on other forums where people want to know where in the heck PrPro, Sg, & AeFx store their sequences "proxy" or "dpx" or "Preview". The assumption is that once you started with 'original' images and applied to any effect in all programs, Adobe programs recreate the chronology of the whole as something else, that you see in the programs during editing. Included in this is the people who keep demanding to know why by selecting "use spotted ' in the permanent export is not significantly speed up the export. They are TOTALLY safe PrPro has full resolution "Preview" files somewhere... but it doesn't work like that.

  The model used here is essentially the same as in Lightroom for still images, the process of "non-destructive editing. I will use this model. You have a picture or raw, imported/ingested jpeg file in Lightroom. You use the controls it to change color, contrast, crop, whatever. But Lightroom doesn't do a thing to this original picture... ever. It takes the info from the original image, takes the Details of the 'changes' you've done in Lightroom and sent to the video card that the image 'see you '. Not until you formally export image Lightroom makes an image on the physical disk... and never liked the top of the original, but as a separate file. Note, it's very different to say Photoshop, open an image, modify and disappears unless you save or/as when you close Photoshop work you've done, right? Photoshop has to save the changes as literal pixel goes to a "tough" image file Lightroom saves only the instructions for changes to the file.

  PrPro, Sg & AeFx pretty much work like "non-destructive editors' also, combing the original clip on the disk with the instruction set of changes you did to create the image that you see in the program/playback monitor. If you have trouble reading or dropped frames and 'ask' a 'render' of a part of the sequence, it does not have a complete file codec put out cela, but "insights" useful internally that look very nice but are NOT usable for output makes... they are not very high quality. Programs can actually work this way MUCH faster than creating massive files for what you do... like these programs used to.

  So Fran & Joost know exactly what they're talking about. In a process of D - L, Speedgrade just uses the sequence-timeline PrPro 'instructions' and creates more backward in the statement of project file PrPro for ranking changes you did. That's all.
