Splash screen telling me to swap a switch after changing a HARD drive in an a1224

My HARD drive broke down in my imac A1224. I put a new hard drive. Now I get the image below to start. I am getting the sound, a quick flash of the Apple and then what looks like a black screen, but when I put the light on it this visible rendering.

This is the indicator asking you to activate your mouse. You have to be something not directly connected or you damaged one of the cables going to the display. Your backlight does not work.

  • Blue screen error: 0x0000001a when using system to restore with new hard drive disk

original title: blue screen error when you use the system disk to restore with new hard drive

I bought a new hard drive to my computer because the old one gave me a bunch of error messages on screen blues. I installed in the tower and tried to use my restore and system recovery disks that the manufacturer has given me, the process has got to the last disk then asked for the system once again restore disc, and then began to load the last steps and went to blue screen error. I don't know what to do, I mean it's a whole new drive hard, so where could the error come, theres nothing on the hard drive because I have not yet used really, yet. Help, please

I have finally fixed the problem myself. The problem was that one of the sticks three memory was bad and the only way I could test this error. I took two sticks a left, used disks I had and was able to restore my computer, then I put a stick, turned on the computer, had no errors so I let him, so I put the last stick in and com immediately on, I had the Disconnections: memory management and that's when I knew that the last stick of memory was bad I took it back and now my computer works well and I can't buy more memory for not too. So if someone gets this BOSD error on memory, I'd say 8/10 computers have bad memory (not a number). If youcannot run the tool of diagnosis of memory like me then I would suggest to do what I did with the trial and error, it was the only way to understand the problem. Thanks for your help

Can someone tell me if I could?

    Hello

In my personal experience, it could works.

The only thing to highlight is, if the SATA cable or SATA port on the motherboard works at speed of SATA2, then SATA2 performance is what you get.

    Hope this helps you.

  • Light client T520: t520 - how to disable the 'hp' splash screen at boot...

    Hello

We just bought some HP t520s to complete a lab that we t510s.  The t510s work very well.  The t520s are almost here.  I just need to hide a pesky startup screen.  When the t520 marketing and gets to the GUI, but before that the network is connected, it displays a splash screen telling me that his "waitting for the network.  Unfortunately, this splash screen also has a button called "network settings."  This button, this bad boy is what I want to disable delete or hide.  I don't care if the start screen appears or not, but in giving users access to network settings and host name and all sorts of settings is a waitting accident to happen.

Does anyone have any ideas as to how I can get rid of this button?  I would really appreciate hints, ideas, comments or words of wisdom on this topic.

    Thanks to you all!

    René

Try the following: in xterm type regeditor, go to config-Assistant, enablenetworkcheck the value 0, enableupdatecheck the value 0, the network/update dialog box will not be displayed. You must type the value in the value dialog box and click on save before you go to the following registry key. If this does not work as expected please open a case with www.hp.com/go/support

  • Switching hard drives - urgent.

I just bought a HP DV7-1450US laptop with the intention of changing the hard drive of my HP Dv2000 which has a burned screen (which currently holds my school papers) in the news.  Now I call HP and they say they won't help me with hard around switching drives unless I'm paying $60 AFTER THAT other employees have said they would be happy to help with switching hard drives, and they said, it would be easy to "work through it."  I don't know squat about computers, and I won't be $700 (or $ 760) in the hole, because technical support can't get their message right. Are really interchangeable hard drives, as HP claims, or they're lying, basically?  They said that it was extremely simple and common practice.

Yes, you can switch the hard drives, but if you put the dv2000 only in the dv7 is not likely to start or function correctly as primary drive.

How to get the hard drive out of the dv2000

There is a caddy (sled) and a connector plastic disk hard dv2000 and you will need to remove them before you can use it in anything else.

The dv7 allows a 2nd hard drive which is just data storage. Windows is not running. Just put the dv2000 drive in the drive Bay hard 2d empty on the dv7. As indicated earlier, he must strip the dv2000 by car down to its core feature until you can put it in the dv7.

    Dv7 manual

Look at the Page 56 of Chapter 4. You remove a large flat plastic down with several screws. The inside is empty hard disk Bay. Connect the drive hard naked dv2000 in the SATA connectors in the open Bay dv7. Now, put the cover back on. It's temporary. If you plan to use 2 hard drives in the dv7 permanently you need a second drive enclosure hard dv7 but just a temporary file transfer, you are lucky that the dv7 has regular old SATA connectors and you don't have a trolley or a connector to connect a second hard drive for just a temporary thing. Now return the laptop and fire. the disk hard dv2000 should appear in my computer as a new drive applied as probably 'E '. Just open upward and find and drag and drop your files (documents from the school) for this drive in the primary drive and you are back in business.

  • Swapped the HARD drive of the Pavilion G6 2264sa with a Pavilion G6 1331sa HARD drive / brightness not wking... !!

    Hello

Hope everyone is well and wonder if anyone can help me. My problem is my daughter's laptop, she is in the middle of the student to College and all of his work is on his laptop which is a:

    HP Pavilion G61331sa/1.6 GHZ AMD Quad-Core A8 - 3520M APU with Dual Radeon 6620 graphics card + 7450 M / 6 GB memory / dedicated graphics video AMD Radeon HD 6620 + 7450 M bi - GPU (1 GB of DDR3 memory) / 750 GB SATA (5400 RPM) HARD drive / running Windows 7.

Unfortunately, my son accidentally spilled juice on the laptop. I quickly took all the preventive measures, turn off the power / battery disassembly / HDD and upsets the laptop. I also left in the closet of broadcast for a few days to dry out, then tried again. It lights up and the power light stays on and the fan works but the caps lock button warning light flashing and the screen remains empty, even when I try to use an external monitor via HDMI connections again the external screen is blank. It seems that most of the spill was on the left side of the keyboard because the keys are very sticky this side. I talked to HP to my problem that the laptop is still under warranty, however as we know that it does not cover accidents, and no, we don't have the coverage of the accident. My daughter is in the middle of exams a solution was needed pronto. It was suggested by HP techy guy to buy the modern equivalent with the same HARD drive and just change the HARD drive and update all the drivers.

    I bought a HP Pavilion G6 2264sa / Intel® Core™ i3 - 2370M / 4GB memory / 750 GB SATA Hard Disk Drive / graphics Intel HD Graphics 3000 (up to 1.65 GB) running windows 8 (64-bit).

I changed the HARD disk as proposed and updated all the drivers. There was a slight problem starting up but just had to go into the BIOS at startup (F1 key) Startup Configuration / settings and do know the Boot from the HDD instead of CD ROM, etc.. The HP Pavilion G6 2264sa started with the G6 1331sa HARD drive and works very well. My daughter doesn't have to worry about spending time to find away around a new laptop and windows 8. everything is just where she knows that it is.

The only problem I have is the brightness (f2 and f3) doesn't seem to work and the screen is very bright degree to cause a headache. I have uninstalled and installed the graphics drivers but still no control over brightness...!

Any ideas where I have gone wrong?

Your suggestions and ideas will be very well received and appreciated.

    Thanks in advance...

This computer does not display any right screen?

And caps lock flahs once in 4 seconds?

If it has been: is failled into a CPU and they want also to repair or change your motherboard.

In any case, go to a place and make planning expenditures compared with the price of your laptop.

Other way, the disk its ok so your girls its safe.

    You are very wellcome.

If the HP Forum do not delete my account, I will have more pleasure and response.
