• Photosmart HP: Printing problems with my HP Photosmart

  I had problems with my photosmart for awhile. For a while, when I would plug into the usb port of my computer, I had received the error "the disk you inserted is not readable by this computer. I used to ignore the error and used to print anyway.

Now, when I try to print something, I see in the queue of the printer, the error message saying "communication error: the computer is therefore more able to communicate with your printer." "Turn off the printer, check your printer connections and look for errors in the printer and turn on the printer. I got it done and straightened my computer as well, but it does not work. After that, I opened the printer utility via my computer to print a test page, and it worked really, which is strange.

  I see that you are getting the error "communication error: the computer is therefore more able to communicate with your printer." Turn off the printer, check your printer connections and search for printing errors and turn the printer. I would like to help you today.   What is the name and the product number of your printer? How can I find my model number or product number?

  Turn on the printer and make sure that the printer is connected directly to a wall outlet. (do not use a hub or a surge protector) This ensures that the printer is full on and can help this situation. The USB cable should not be more then 6 feet. Make sure that the USB cable is connected directly to the computer. (not a station or a hub) Try a different USB port on the computer. Check that the USB cable is connected to the appropriate port on the back of the printer.

  Check if the Mac sees the printer is connected.

  Go to the Apple, select about this Mac, system report, select USB.
  Do you see the printer listed?

  Fix permissions of the drive on the Mac:
  Close all applications.
  In the Apple menu, click OK, click Applications, and then click utilities.
  Double-click disk utility.
  Highlight your hard drive / partition on the left.
  Click on check and then repair disk permissions.

  Restart the computer...

  Reset the printing system:

  Note: This will remove all printers in the print and Fax/Scan, any printer deleted can be re-added later by clicking the sign plus (+) symbol.

  Click on the Apple icon and then click on System Preferences.
  Click on Printers & Scanners.
  Make a right click (or Ctrl + click) in the left white side panel, and then click Reset printing system.
  Click OK to confirm the reset.
  Type the name and the correct password.
  Click OK to reset the printing system.
  Then click on the sign to add the driver, highlight the printer +. (you may need to click the drop down menu to select the name of the printer) Then click the Add button.

  Try to print again.

  If you're still having problems, please try another USB cable.

• DirecTV remote

  HP Touchsmart 530 running Win 7 64 bit.

  How to disable the functionality of remote control on my pc. When the DirecTV remote is used, the white light at the front of the PC flashes. Sometimes the PC will respond in a strange way.  Example: Installing a program yesterday, someone used the remote to DirecTV and reboted the PC in the middle of the installation. I didn't ' t use the HP remote control and want to disable the feature on the PC.

  It seems that the IR receiver is a physical part of the case for this device (4 in the picture).

  

  This indicates that the IR receiver is part of the TV Tuner card.  I don't have this device to check visually that's the case, but it is more than likely the case since it is not listed in Device Manager.  Except turn off the TV completely tuner in Device Manager, which I suppose than the tuner TV is used, there is only one other option that came to mind.

  I do not make suggestions like this for aesthetic purposes, but the easiest solution would be to cover the IR receiver with something that is not clear like a piece of insulation tape.

  Wir haben mehrer switched vom Typ SGE2000 gestackt. Alle haben die Firmware 1.0.0.45. Wir haben nun noch a new gehlolt. Dieser hat aber die Firmware 3. 0.0.18 da wir diesen auch mit im battery einbinden wollen, ist ein Firmwarestand auf allen second WINS Switchen necessary gleicher. Kann ich den neuen switch downgraden (wo finde ich eine working Firmware)? Should das nicht possible breast, muss ich die shipping switch upgraden. Die Firmware auf den Seiten-Dowload-Cisco lasst sich aber nicht auf die einlesen switch. Wo finde ich die ensprechende actually Frimware. Habe schon Tage im several I have Net recherchiert. VIELLEICHT kann mir ja yesterday someone help?

  Klar, das model mit der Seriennummer und der Mac address gibt are Schön, aber mehr Infos are da nicht.

  Den Tip mit dem Internetexplorer probiere ich jetzt einfach noch aus evil. MIT ich kann die hyperlink ;-)) Geräte very problemlos ansprechen und therefore bin ich schon erst once something zufriedener und habe das Fenster wieder zugemacht).  Gruss thadmin
