Spry Menu problem... Help!

I am VERY new to web design and spent a few weeks in designing this site, find out things on my own and with tutorials in line/forums. I had problems with my bar menu horizontal spry, but was able to make it work in the end. Or at least I thought so...

Everything was wonderful in my "live view" as well as the preview of Safari, so I downloaded yesterday evening and was crushed to see that my menu bar is completely wrong. It does appear the way it does in the preview at all (with the exception of my buttons to overthrow those who are OK) and is not even horizontal. It appears vertically on the left side of the page with balls.

I double checked and triple checked to make sure that all the files have been downloaded correctly and they seem to be. I looked for answers on a few different forums, but couldn't find one that could solve my problem.

It might be a simple technical thing, but I don't know much about the code, so I can't understand what is the problem. I work with DW CS4

I need help please!

2 Add a class to the menubar container so that it looks like

To help you understand what I've done

1. a) puts an absolute URL on selected items to ensure that we have the correct path to the image

1. b) that changes the background of the white elements transparent to the menu bar when seen in IE (IE hack)

clearfix 1. (c) is to ensure that there is no margin collapse, among the wicked small. There is a hack for all browsers. When there is a collapse of the margin of the element, the background color does not appear as was the case here.

2 Add clearfix class to the element to make sure we can see the background.

If you follow the above to the letter, you will have the menu in the search bar as it was planned.

  • The Spry menu bar help

    Well, I have been struggling with this for always and still am having problems with my menu bar.  I need the main menus to have background pictures and the submenus have a color.  I use ul style. MenuBarHorizontal a for styling the menu without ul and drop-down menus items. MenuBarHorizontal a.MenuBarItemSubmenu for styling the menu with drop-down lists items.  Here's what I have:

    I can change the color of items 1 and 3, but I can't add a background image.  When I try to add the image to the style, it comes out blank.  What I am doing wrong?  I had this work last night, but for some reason, now it is not.  Help, please... Thank you.

  • Spry Menu problem: no menu style on mobile devices

    I created a simple menu horizontal spry, with sub menu for a site using a fluid design.

    When looked at in the preview of the multiplayer mode, everything looks fine, however if I load a page and check the menu on a smart phone (Nokia), or an Ipad or Kindle is not displayed but is repaced with a liswt of the menu of options with bullets near the entrance.

    What I am doing wrong?

    Sorry to say, Spry menus do not work on handheld devices.

    You need to move your menu systems to a

    HTML/CSS menu or perhaps of JQuery. See some examples here:

    GRAMPS! Thank you very much. I really, really appreciate your help. In addition to your suggestion I changed all other instances of z-index that relate to the menu bar. I put them all to 10000 (more than the z-index of 1002 on the fadeslideshow.js). Now it works like a charm and is no longer hides behind the fadeslideshow. Yay!

    Thanks to Nancy O. for his suggestion as well. For anyone having problems woth Spry Menu bar in IE and Firefox especialy: The Spry Menu Bar 2.0 version works much better than the previous version.

  • Text in bold Safari causing problem with the Spry menu bar

    I made a web site using a Spry menu bar. It worked fine in all browsers, as far as I knew. I was just alerted by owner esite th that the menu bar was the last link off position seen in Safari. I don't know when this started happening. I noticed that the text in Safari is more bold than firefox or IE. My guess is that this is the problem. I searched on google for help and found this

    Add-text-shadow: 0 0 0 #000; to the css.

    I tried but it don't seem to have any effect.

    the site is here:

    http://www.telluridegravityworks.com/

    Can anyone offer advice on how I might solve this problem? Thank you!

    I don't see the problem under Win 7/Safari (guess it's a question of Mac) but I see it in Win 7/IE9.

    In the CSS file, http://www.telluridegravityworks.com/css/gravity-works-winter.css

    set the width of the container navbar fix here

  • With Spry menu bars necessary help please?

    Hi all

    I'm new on this forum, so please forgive any errors!

    My problem is the following:

    I created a site with 10 pages in DW and created a horizontal Spry menu drop-down that it contains. I created all links on all pages, and everything works fine. However - Here is my question - if I want to add another page of my site (which in fact 11 pages) is there a way to create just on one page (say index.html) and then automatically update the other 9 pages with this new page - or do I have to open all the pages to add my new page manually?

    Please help me if you can.

    A big thank you and best regards

    Mark

    Hello

    If you ask an "update" of your spry menu here a tip for you: you can apply to the "server-side includes" for this. David_Powers created a quick tutorial (for me). You will find it here: http://foundationphp.com/tutorials/sprymenu/ssi.php.

  • Background of the Spry menu bar problem

    Hello
    I tried to search for this problem, and although I found others with the same problem, there has been no response (probably so obvious I missed it and they understood.) And I update the Spry menu bar to the latest version.

    The Horizontal Spry menu bar works fine on Firefox and IE 7, the background is white and the submenus, not the intention. Alignment and size is fine, just designed background colors do not work (on the menu itself, I want a transparent background on submenus, #777079.)

    Hello

    The problem is due to the

    Tags that you added all through
    the spry menu.
    In IE, which not only align text Center but it also aligns the
      which
      are drop down menus in the center of the

      This changes things.

      First of all, change this:

      To do this:

      So, if you want your text aligned to Center:

      Change this in the sections file:

      UL. MenuBarHorizontal a {}
      display: block;
      cursor: pointer;
      background-color: #000000;
      Padding: 0.5em 0.75em;
      color: #FFFFFF;
      text-decoration: none;
      }

      To do this:

      UL. MenuBarHorizontal a {}
      display: block;
      cursor: pointer;
      background-color: #000000;
      Padding: 0.5em 0.75em;
      color: #FFFFFF;
      text-decoration: none;

      I hope this helps.

    I added the following to the document (after the link to the sections)

    and he was able to see the menu bar.

    However, while browsing through the stylesheet, I noticed that he had been ill-treated unrecognizable. In this regard, I would recommend starting with a blank style sheet and by changing only the colors and sizes of font style rules existing. Do not add new rules, do not delete the existing rules.

    See how you go and return report problems.

  • Green Spry menu bar. -problem adding list-image in the menu bar container

    Can anyone help - after searching the Web failure

    I want to add a single image (such as bullet points) in front of the text in a menu bar.

    And to make it a bit more 'difficult': different images for the menu outermost bars and identical images in the submenu bar - like this:

    [pic1] CLUBS

    [pic2] XXXX

    [pic2] AAAA

    [pic3] RESULTS

    [pic4] FIXTURES

    Thanks in advance for the solutions
    (perhaps also make the Spry menu?)
