I was faced with the question with sqlplus suddenly in 11.2.0.3 throw version on solaris 10 OS, it was working fine until today. No changes made on this (11.2.0.3.Q3) oracle home, but new ORACLE HOME installed by Server DBA (shared server) with the Q4 patch.

As explained in metalink note: 396154.1, I set NLS_DATE_FORMAT, but it doesn't seem to work
also, I've checked the timezone as explained in the blog file, but the file timezone.dat does not exist in 11.2.0.3 version and all the files in $ORACLE_HOME/oracore/zoneinfo/have permissions of reading to the dba group

Sol.beach thanks for the reply, I'm able to correct the problem. In fact the PATH variable has put in .profile of export PATH = $PATH: $ORACLE_HOME/bin and the value is lower.

I changed as export PATH = $ORACLE_HOME/bin: $PATH and now it works fine. It seems to be a problem with the old Oracle Home, also present in the PATH variable before the bin to the current address of Oracle Home Directory.

PLS-00201 error occurs when the batch a stored procedure in SQL * more

I have a batch file to run a stored procedure and the coil results in file. When I enter orders manually in sql * plus the output works very well and my results are spooling in the output file. But when I run the same commands in the script I get an error batch.

Any ideas?
Stored procedure:

VC view all Perrformance - STATS report service internal error

I just installed a fresh copy of VC 2.5update 4. I use a database remote 10g as repository who seems to work very well, but when I open the performance overview tab I see the following messages:
The STATISTICS report service internal error

I cloned instance of PROD to test successfully, but opening form taking a lot of time to open any form and obtain the FRM-40734 error: internal error: PL / SQL error has occurred.
Please let me know if everyone faced and solved the problem.
Bypass tried:
1. the cleasned nodes and was properly executed autoconfig on all nodes.
EXEC FND_CONC_CLONE. SETUP_CLEAN;
2 compiled forms and compiled JAR files.

Cannot change the power state of VM: internal error

I freshly installed OS elementary which is based on Ubuntu.
VMWare Workstation installation worked fine, but after creating my new virtual machine with a Win 10, the same message comes to me:
Cannot change the power state of VM: internal error
I looked a little in the log file, found this dump was set to zero, they changed in etc/security /, but that's all I've managed to find.

I don't think that the problem is related to a beginner linux user, it's a problem triggered by a specific hardware configuration.

If you look at your log file again, there is an error just before the vmware process attempts to core dump. The dump is a reaction to the problem.

Which indicates in return you can set a configuration file to specify the actual frequency of your processor.

Moved from VM with Snap Shots, doesn't start: cannot change the power state of VM: internal error

Last week, I decided to move from a Windows host based Linux system. So I went through my VMs their power off and copied to another drive. I then installed 7 Centos and reinstalled VMWare Workstation 12 re-imported the virtual machine in VMWare and I tried to start.
I received the following message...
"Cannot change the power state of VM: internal error.
Suspicious, I looked at the folder that contains the machine virtual and noticed it contained snapshots. DOH!
I guess it is pretty bad, not sure where to start?
Any help would be appreciated.

I copied VM, with and without clichés, without problems. Have a few running on OSX Fusion so

The first thing I would check would be for folders and .lck files. If so, remove them.

This error is triggered when you start at the beginning of the treatment for sqlplus and is, by nature, rather generic. Given that it is triggered during initialization, it is quite possible that not all libraries that may be required for additional details (such as localized error messages) are loaded.

The only thing you mention has changed is installation of Kaspersky, which suggests that it blocks a library required to be loaded. This error can also be triggered in case of memory (which would also prevent the loading required libraries, etc.).

Here is a simple test you can do by way of illustration (obviously not on a production system, etc.):

$ cd \Oracle\11.2\database\BIN

$ dir /s /b oraclient11.dll
C:\Oracle\11.2\database\BIN\oraclient11.dll

$ rem temporarily rename the Oracle RDBMS Client Library for testing
$ ren oraclient11.dll oraclient11.dll.save

$ rem this will raise error 57 since a required library could not be loaded during initialization
$ sqlplus.exe /nolog
Error 57 initializing SQL*Plus
Error loading message shared library

$ rem be sure to change back!
$ ren oraclient11.dll.save oraclient11.dll

I have run this command in windows
sqlplus a/b@c
It is connected, I can run sql and the results returned.

However, I have run this command from sql loader
sqlldr control = test.ctl a/b@c data = test.txt

but the error is returned

SQL * Loader-704: Internal error: ulconnect: OCIServerAttach [0]
ORA-12154: TNS: could not resolve the connect identifier specified

What are the reasons and why?

Srini said you that you must consider. SQL * Plus allows for a few characters that SQL * Loader. You should be able to use both $ (dollar sign) and _ (underscores stroke). Beyond these two special characters, my memory is incomplete. Your operating system might limit you also.
