stop the automatic installation of Microsoft Visual C++ redistributable.

I recently started using a new pc in the office.

and installed MS visual C++ 2008 express on the PC.

but when I try to compile a program, I found a problem.

I checked the "programs and features" in the control panel

There are many redistributable packages VC ++ in the system, IE. VC ++ 2005, 2008, 2010 redistributable...

I try to uninstall all the redistributable packages, just keep the VC ++ 2008 Express and its components.

but when I turned on pc a few days later. all versions of redistributalbes are installed back again. It's really annoying.

is this a way to prevent this auto/silent install these redistributable packages VC ++? because it messes up my programming environment.

Thank you.

Others are installed only if an installed application needs them.  Every application needs a specific version.

You aren't the only one with multiple versions (see figure).  I do not know Cmake, but is there a way to 'say' it which one to use?

What you say makes no sense and I question the validity of these comments.  Update to Windows 8.1 will do more good than harm.  Very few people who have updated have experienced problems, so comments to keep your receipt no logic.

Here's something you can do.  Download Macrium reflect free and create a hard disk image on an external hard drive, don't forget to create the rescue disk.  Once done, update your system to 8.1.  If you have any problems, then you will be OK.  If it doesn't work or you have problems you can restore the backup of the image on your system that will put the computer to Windows 8 with no ill effects.  An image backup of your system from time to time is the best thing you can do.  You will have no problems with the help of recovery disks, reinstalling programs and data.  Many people use this method and have no regrets.

Don't be afraid of it, it is a very useful tool.

How to prevent a self-installing program? I am thinking especially of Adobe Acrobat Reader DC.  I have two computers, one at home and one at work.  I have Acrobat installed on one X, and XI Acrobat installed on the other.  I'm perfectly fine with these versions.  What happens is that CD player self-installing itself periodically.  The problem is that if I try and save a file with X or XI, CD player takes over and invites me to subscribe for $X per month in order to continue.  ****?  I paid for X and XI, and have no problem using these old programs write Acrobat files.  It is a continuous battle, and I have to uninstall CD player once a week or so on the two machines. • Windows SDK 7.1 not installs on Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable 10.0.40219

I try to install the 64-bit from the Windows SDK 7.1 compiler.  But the installation fails with an error (empty) useless.  I tried various fixes suggested in various forums online, but my research suggests that the problem is likely to be the C++ Redistributable package has already installed more recent than the version in the SDK, and he therefore moved not on them.  Unfortunately, I can't seem to uninstall the redistributable files: there no option to uninstall them in programs and features, probably because they were put there as part of the installation of another program.  But I don't know which and have not been able to understand.  I can't just go remove programs at random, so I don't think that kidnapping will work for me.

Is it possible to get the compiler installed without removing the redistributable files? Microsoft plans to release an updated SDK to update anytime soon?
    For what it's worth, I'm on Windows 7 Enterprise SP1, 64-bit.

  • You will need to uninstall Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable package to install the earlier version to Fix - It Professional 12.

Original title: problems with Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable (x 86)

I try to install the Fix - It Professional 12 by Avanquest on my Windows XP machine.

When installing, I get a message that says Microsoft C++ Visial Resditributable package (x 86) must be installed.

When I click to try installing the Avanquest Software, it fails.

If I go on the Microsoft Web site to try to downlad there from there, he fails again and I like that it's because I already have a newer version on my machine.

Technical support Avanquest says that their software requires the old version.

Is there a risk involved with uninstall what is on my machine and allowing the Avanquest software to install the version needed?

If this is not the case, how does it do this so the rest of the installation of the software can continue?

    Thank you!

    Hi Jim,.

What version of Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable package is required by the software?

You can uninstall the version of Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable in the computer and install the older version required by Avanquest software.

  • "Error 1714. The old version of Microsoft Visual C ++ 2005 Redistributable cannot be deleted. Contact your technical support group. »

    (Windows 7 64-bit)

This can be long and winded, but I spent 5 hours trying to solve this problem.

It all started when I tried to uninstall a program, but I kept getting the message that wanted me vcredit.msi (or something like that) I downloaded a copy of it and pointed out the program of this file, but it has always found a problem and wouldn't uninstall. (Add/Remove programs won't uninstall it not more)

So, I moved to the installation of a new program. He repeats to me '\Temp\IXP1. TMP\ is not a valid package for the product Microsoft Visual C ++ 2005
Redistributable. Try to find the installation package 'vcredit.msi' in a folder that you can install Microsoft Visual C ++ 2005 Redistributable. »

When I point to the vcredit.msi that I downloaded (just randomly sitting in my docs) I get "error 1714. The old version of Microsoft Visual C ++ 2005 Redistributable cannot be deleted.  Contact your technical support group. »

I also have trouble downloading updates Microsoft for Microsoft Visual C ++ 2005 Redistributable & at the same time in updates it shows Microsoft Visual C ++ 2008 Redistributable.

I tried to uninstall Microsoft Visual C ++ 2005 Redistributable via Add/Remove Programs, but it won't let me say it does not find some programs.

This thing is annoys the heck out of me.

I need to set the Microsoft Visual C ++ 2005 Redistributable problem (looks like I need the new version 2008 or 2010?) and be able to install and uninstall programs. Which is somehow related.

Any ideas what to do. (Please speak as clearly as possible. I'm a fool when it comes to computers lol)

Original title: Microsoft Visual C ++ 2005 disorders (installing and uninstalling of programs)

    Hello Angelz,

Thanks for posting your query in Microsoft Community Forum.

The error you get can be caused by components from Visual C++ Runtime libraries that are missing or get conflicted, perhaps due to a third party software or badly configured registry settings.

So, I would suggest trying the following steps and check if the problem persists:

    Method 1:

    a. click Start, right-click computerand then click Properties.

    b. in the name computer, domain, and workgroup settings , click change settings.

(If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password, or click continue.)

    c. click change settings , and then select the Advanced tab click the environment variables button.

    d. the user variables area, click on TEMPand then click change.

    e. in the Variable value box, type C:\Temp, and then click OK twice.

    f. click applyand then click OK.

    g. follow steps 4 to 6 for the variable of environment TMP as well.

    h. confirm this folder C:\Temp exist, otherwise create a.

    i. restart the computer.

    j. attempt to install the application again.

If the steps do not help, try the next method.

    Method 2:

If you are comfortable in changing some registry settings, then follow the steps provided below.

    1. Click Start and type run in start search box, and then press enter.
    2. Type regedit and click OK.

  • Close the registry editor.
  • Restart the computer.
  • Check if you are able to install the application.
  • If the method does not resolve the problem, continue to the next method.

    Method 3:

You can also reinstall Visual C++ Library Runtime components to solve the problem.

You can uninstall all existing Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable Package and install the latest Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package and check if it helps.

Step 1: To uninstall the package:

    1. Open programs and features, click Start > Control Panel >programs and features.
    2. In the list, find the Package redistributable Microsoft Visual C++ and click on it.
    3. Right-click on it and select Uninstall.
    4. Restart the computer.

Step 2: Download and install the latest package and see if it helps.

Download the relevant package depending on your system's architecture.

For 32 bit: Download Details: Package redistributable Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 (x 86)

    For 64-bit: Download Details: Package redistributable Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 (x 64)

Hope this information is useful. If the problem still persists, please post back for further assistance, we will be happy to help you.

  • Compile the external code with Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Express Edition

    Hello

I'm trying to compile c code to work with Labview (CIN or dll). In the past I did without problem using visual studio. I'm having a really hard time compiling the code with

Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Express Edition. I'm trying to compile one of the examples that come with Labview (multiply 2 numbers for example).

I don't know how to set the project with Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Express Edition. I read on the web something make a folder of lvm with Labview makefile. Is this really necessary? If so, how to create this file?

    Hello.

I m havving problems with my Iconia Tab 8 W W1 - 810. He suddenly stopped the automatic rotation of screen and now I can´t find the box "Enable rotation of the screen. I have only the chance to put in landscape or portrait, but not in automatic rotation.

How can I enable automatic screen rotation again?

I would much appreciate your help.

    Thank you, Justin!

I tried this, but as I no longer had an automatic rotation checkbox, I couldn t solve the problem.

The solution came through the cat of Acer service. Acer technician Mukesh was very nice and patient, we tried all possible options, but the auto-rotation option was not available, the only way to recover is to install the proposed pilots:

    http://global-download.Acer.com/GDFiles/driver/platform%20Drivers/platform%20Drivers_Intel_10.18.10...

After installing these drivers, I got automatic rotation check box and could solve the problem.

I am very happy that I could solve the problem and very happy with the Acer´s customer service.

    Thanks for your suggestion.

    Kind regards

  • Stop the automatic download of the driver?

Maybe it's nothing to do with the HP software, but confirmation of this would be very useful. I have a LaserJet P1006 that works very well with the 'original' driver assistance. Whenever I have run Windows 7 (I use an iMac) a driver for the HP Color LaserJet 2800 PS Series is automatically downloaded, registered under devices and printers as "HP LaserJet P1006-1", and it becomes the default printer. Printing is then impossible Windows, until I deleted this driver and returned to the original "LaserJet P1006" driver. Until the Color LaserJet printer is deleted, it is the only printer shown, although there is also a DeskJet which then becomes available.

Device settings are set to "never install the driver from Windows update." Windows Update is set to "Download updates but let me choose whether to install them".

I would be really grateful for any suggestions on how to stop the automatic download of the incorrect driver.
