  • macOS Sierra download stops with the error to 2.15 GB every time

    I'm currently under OS X El Capitan 10.11.6 and I try to download and install macOS Sierra.  I tried several times and whenever the download stops at 2.15 GB with the message macOS that Sierra could not download use the purchases page to try again.  When I go to the shopping page I see a category for other purchases that lists the Sierra macOS.  However, the button has the text in red next to it indicating that an error has occurred and the button has no text.  By clicking the button does nothing.  I restart and remove partial downloading of applications to try again.  See screenshot below.

    I have enough free space on my hard drive.

    Here are the details of the machine.
