• Strange copy paste problem

  I encountered a very strange problem using copy and paste with CS4 (11.0.2). When I select all, move on to another image, copy and paste, the pasted image is moved in position!  As I've never met this problem before, I spent several hours trying to isolate the cause.  It seems to be limited to a particular image.  Although I have saved in several formats, as well with PhotoShop and other programs, the behavior is the same.

  If you save this image as a .png and load it in PhotoShop, you will see that the background is transparent.  If I use the magic wand and a low tolerance to select the transparent part and fill it with an opaque color, the shift on the problem of copy/paste goes!  I tried to reproduce the problem by making a new image with a transparent background and shades of gray in an RGB image, but do not meet the displacement on the problem of copy/paste.

  For reference, the image is the diffuse map a sticker to be applied to another texture.  I wanted to copy on a layer above the normal map to check the size and recording.  I always wanted to do, but am frankly stumped.  Any help would be appreciated.

  What language is awarded when you select the text? Hyphenation, but also the spelling, is controlled by the dictionary that is assigned to the text.

• Strange problem with find/replace

  I'll have a little strange problem with find/change in InDesign CS4 Mac.

  The document is a data merge.  In the worksheet, there are two fields that contain either a '@' or a '&', depending on the context.  These are just placeholders - the plan was to convert glyphs of the police 'Wingdings 2' after creating the merged document.  We do it this way because we couldn't figure out how to get the glyphs themselves in the .csv file.  Two glyphs are < FO54 > and < FO56 >.

  First I used find/replace to change all the '@' symbols to < FO54 >.  That has worked well. But then when I tried to change the symbols "&" < FO56 >, I got the < FO54 > again instead.  In fact, now I ask what glyph, I get < FO54 >.  Find/replace always normally works for normal text... it of just that he seems to have decided that if I ask a glyph, I get < FO54 >, anything.

  I tried to shut down and restart, but the bug is still there.

  Any thoughts?

  I used the tabs of glyphs in find/replace when I tested it, but what you describe seems to work as well.

  -In the second document, I have exactly the same paragraph style (style1, style2, style3) names, but different formatting rules (for example in doc1 style1 is 13 times, the same style1 doc2 is Minion 11).

  What I want to do is to copy the text of document 1, the selected paragraph style name, but not the setting shaped styles. So when I did the copied text in document 2, can I get the text automatically style with rules of formatting of document 2.

  I can't find a way to do it: I cut & spent keeping the formatting, but not the names of the styles only.

  Did someone in the face of this problem or have a solution?

  I finally found out why the cut & paste has not worked for me.

  The problem was that in doc1, I put all my styles in a folder, while in doc2 (take a guess!) No.

  That was the problem. Once I put in a folder with the same name as doc1 doc2 styles, everything worked magically.

  Red + the way there is more text than is view - or overset text.  You can extend the text box to enable all to show, or create another text box and pour the rest in that one.

  Sometimes if you don't know that there is no more text, it's maybe a return which InDesign thinks that there is no more.

  About this specific file, my guess is that someone wanted to replace the address so they just put the new text with a white background on the old text and thought which is pretty good. Big mistake. • Strange problems with Firefox!

  I am a user of Mozilla Firefox about 3 years. I use it on my desktop and on my laptop. in the PC, I have no problem; but in the laptop, I have strange problems. I searched this problem to support Mozilla and Google also! but I can't find any answer.
  Also, I have reset Firefox and problem resists. even I uninstall and install after. but the problem remains.
  Now, I'm under Firefox 22.0.
