Strobe Media Player broke after assets.swc of compilation and compilation project in Flash Builder

I use CS5.5 - Flash Builder 4.5 and Flash Professional 11.5.1.349.  If I import a new Strobe Media Player 1.6.328 project into Flash Builder and compile, it works as expected and the StrobeMediaPlayback.html page load in my browser and behaves normally.

Then I load assets.fla into Flash Professional and don't edit and publish a new assets.swc.  Then I go back to Flash Builder and refresh the StrobeMediaPlayback project and recompile.  This time when StrobeMediaPlayback.html loads in the browser, the SWF Strobe is instantiated on the page but is not executed, i.e. no play button and no bar scrub down, just a black box.  The black box right button brings up the Flash menu so the SWF load has it but stopped somewhere running.

I try to get the debugger working in Flash Builder, but so far without success.

I hope that someone has seen this before and has some ideas.

Kind regards

Tim

The problem was simply to fonts.  Fonts in StrobeMediaPlayback/assets/fonts must be installed in the operating system.  In my case Windows so just right button on the font file and select install.

  • Strobe Media Player + CloudFront RTMP = buffering without end

    So, I built my first attempt successful using Flash Media Player yesterday using Amazon CloudFront streaming.

    Everything that was looking perfect until this morning. Now the player constantly puts in buffer.

    The script block looks like this:

    < script type = "text/javascript" >

    $(function() {})

    var options = {}

    CBC: "rtmp://s1glvh7urin7p8.cloudfront.net/cfx/st/_definst_/mp4: / voro/vorotrailer.mp4,"

    urlIncludesFMSApplicationInstance: 'true ',.

    Width: 720,

    height: 308,.

    };

    We are now ready to generate video tags
    $("#strobemediaplayback").strobemediaplayback (options);

    });

    < /script >

    I tested the file under the "download version" of this bucket on cloudfront. This works.
    I tested the file streaming with the JW player. This works.
    I could suspect that something is wrong with the strobe player... but it worked yesterday.
    I thought of something was wrong with my computer... but I tried on another machine with the same results.

    I'm out of conjecture. Who can help to think about other things to try?

    You can see a full version of the code of test here:

    Thanks for your time!

  • Windows Media Player takes a long time to open and search

    Slow initialization of WMP 12, research and classification.

    IM under W7 Ultimate 64.
    When I start WMP12 it takes much more time to initialize that WMP11 on vista, 2 minutes before I can even start by selecting music.
    If I do a search it also picks up a similar amount of time and locks (graying out, slider timer). Once I have a bunch of songs loaded on the screen, say a playlist with 200 songs and then click a tab as a note it takes 30 seconds to REList per category during this time it hangs again.
    I have about 40,000 songs in my library. I have rebuilt the library and the database now resides on a second disc which did not make a difference.

    (1) what someone else with similar problems and found a solution?
    (2) is it possible to replace it with WMP11 which worked perfectly and was much more intuitive?
    (3) can anyone recommend a replacement player who has gapless playback and fast database access?

    Cheer - Robb

    Hi terrahertz,

    Thanks for visiting the site of the community of Microsoft Windows 7.

    There could be several reasons why Windows Media Player is the initialization slowly.
    Maybe you run several programs simultaneously.

    We will perform a clean boot to find if any software is causing incompatibility.

    Method 1: Clean clean boot:
    1. click on start, type msconfig in the search box and press ENTER.
    The user account control permission.
    If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type
    password, or click on continue.
    2. in the general tab, click Selective startup.
    3. under Selective startup, clear the check box load starting points.
    4. click on the Services tab, select the hide all Microsoft Services check box, and then click Disable all.
    5. click on OK.
    6. When you are prompted, click on restart.
    7. after the computer starts, check if the problem is resolved.

    If the problem is resolved to check what is the cause of the problem, referring to the link given below:
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135

    8. in addition, you will need to uninstall and reinstall the software problem on your computer.
    Reset the computer to start as usual

    9. When you have finished troubleshooting, follow these steps to reset the computer to start as usual:
    Click Start, type msconfig.exe in the start search box and press ENTER.

    10. If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password, or click on continue. On the general tab, click the Normal startup option, and then click OK.

    11. When you are prompted to restart the computer, click on restart.

    Alternatively, you can try to uninstall and reinstall Media Player.

    Method 2: Uninstall and reinstall Windows Media Player:
    Step 1.
    Uninstalling Windows Media Player:
    1. go to start and in the search type "Turn Windows willing or not.
    2. click on "Turn Windows features on or off".
    2. go to media features and uncheck the brand in the face of Windows Media Player.
    4 restart the computer

    Step 2.
    Reinstall Windows Media Player:
    1. go to start and in the search type "Turn Windows willing or not.
    2. click on "Turn Windows features on or off".
    3. find the multimedia functions and place a check mark in front of the Windows Media Player.
    4 restart the computer.

    It will be useful.

  • I have a problem with the active WiFi Seagate GoFlex TV Media Player asking for a net user ID and a password.

    Original title: Net User ID & Net password

    After the upgrade from Vista to W7-64 CV, I have a problem with an active WiFi Seagate GoFlex TV Media Player asking for a "Net User ID & Net password" to log.  I used all imaginable combinations of IDs & passwords, but they all lead to logon fails. I'm almost certain that it is a W7 security problem because others with the same players who went to W7 face the same problem.  I found many supposed fixes online, but none works.

    I am aware that MS W7 works as it should and Seagate is not their problem, but if anyone can recommend a change of security to help this issue, I guarantee a pass towards the sky.

    PS: All the sharing, etc. continuously.  are installed as they should be.

    The only reference to Net User ID and password I can find is on page 46/47 of the User Guide. If this is not the user name and password of the Windows account that you want to share files with, I don't know what it is.

    I guess patches that you tried to include those that are mentioned here:

    http://forums.Seagate.com/T5/FreeAgent-theater-and-GoFlexTV/logon-fail-home-network-Windows-7/TD-p/70540

    I would have suggested the registry change.

    It might be worth checking that you have the latest firmware, just in case.
