• Implement a DPS showcase in MEA

  Hello.

  I have an application of DPS in stores (Google, Apple and Windows) and I would like to upgrade my DPS to AEM, but I need to keep the features and html design.
  How can I implement a showcase of 2014 DPS in AEM?

  The features are quite a bit different in MEA Mobile On Demand apps in DPS classic apps.

• I have to spend on DPS 2014 to the Adobe Mobile experience Manager?

  My boss just gave me info that Adobe is retiring from DPS. Our contract is for 2 years. What this means to me (specialist designer/DPS)? Should migrate to Adobe Manager Mobile experience now, or can we continue our DPS 2014 for over 2 years? If we need to migrate, is there a date deadline? Will it rebuild apps...?

  Its our current thinking, but you can count on two things - we will continue to maintain workflows classic DPS until 2016 and we will provide notice of at least six months of any change in plans for availability. While we feel MEA Mobile is a far superior product with respect to the scope of the possibilities it offers, we recognize that many customers continue to rely on the DPS classic.

• How to teach the DPS 2015 without Preview app?

  I taught a class during a few sessions with the Digital Publishing Suite, which allowed me to have students to test, demonstrate and share applications iPad with me through the content viewer.

  It seems clear from reading many posts here and elsewhere on the preview (and watch videos of development on the way), that the preview of applications is not possible without credentials and signature of the app. It's VERY heavy for a simple introduction project. Is it true that there is no way to interact with an application "published" without having a developer account (with Apple, since we would only use the iPad platform)?

  I found a program of institutional development for iOS developer for schools licenses, but to get this agreement would be with the entire University and apparently involve legal departments!

  I, and I imagine many other educators, emergency hope a tool, like the content viewer, experimentation, training, instruction, etc., without having to formally engage Apple, Google or Microsoft to pretend that we are actually application developers

  Roy as an educator, you have a few options:

  (1) continue to use "DPS Classic" with workflows based on Folio. We always support all aspects of the older environment.

  2) ask students to sign up for their own tests of 2015 DPS and all will have fully functional accounts for 30 days. With the application available to the public of preflight DPS (our new version of the content viewer), it is unnecessary to create a custom application to display a preview of the content.

  (3) have your Department tender hand to their Adobe representative to discuss the structure of prices for EDU.

  I have worked with a number of universities and colleges, and my advice to them is to continue to teach InDesign workflows for printing, but also educate them about HTML for Web and Mobile workflows. We try to create sur-rampes as much as possible to get the content in the platform.   Tools such as Adobe MUSE will become nice options for creating content fluid and responsive to DPS.

  If the DPS route does not work for your class consider looking creation files ePub ch-setting in page or using Adobe InDesign publishing online in 2015.

• Is this the end of DPS?

  Adobe has made it impossible to use DPSuite in InDesign CC 2015 (and probably in all new versions that will be released).

  This means the end of DPSuite after all?

  It would be too complicated to support both DPS.

  However, in my opinion classic DPS is better for some kinds of digital publications.

  I wish that adobe didn't abandon support for DPS classic.

  We always support 'Classic DPS', you just need to use InDesign CC 2014 or earlier.

  The supplied e-mail does not appear in our database for a DPS 2015 account - that's why you receive the message stated.

  Instead, you should be able to connect in DPS classic where you have Admin + rights AppBuilder.

  today I've updated my DPS classic Android app in the store of Google to DPS 2015 play.

  Wait for other answers, but on the one hand the system requirements is different for 2015 of DPS (Android 4.4 minimum) and I'm guessing that older devices will not refresh to this system.

  The "unsupported devices" section in the developer console GooglePlay can provide more details about all this.

• Payment through custom authentication not based on a scheme simple name of user and password

  We are looking at Adobe DPS to publish our digital magazines.  Like many other publishing companies, we also have existing customers 'print '.

  We have an authentication solution that uses WS-federation.  It works by accessing our connection site.  After the user is authenticated, we POST a security token JWT to return to the calling application.  It is important to know that we want to show the user interface for the connection.  Some of our connection to customers through their Facebook/Twitter account, so we have no password for them.  Our site of connection also allows all our applications and Web sites evolve in a coherent way.  For us, it's really important that we don't create additional identifying information for our users.  We want that they authenticate in the same way everywhere.  (connection website also deals with changing the "General conditions" and will be automatically enabled future external identity providers (such as Google and Microsoft - it also allows to force people to update their profile, if we do not have a complete profile etc...).)

  The right DPS solution, we see that the only option that is provided out of the box is to authenticate users by name of user and password credentials.  Is it possible to replace this mechanism with a scenario "open embedded browser / capture token"?  If so, how is that possible?  (I guess that other operations of payment are OK for us)

  In the new DPS (2015), the only way that a user can connect is via the dialog box native SignIn using the credentials of the user/password. Details: The native connection method will result in a call to the serviceAuthURL specified parameters of the Integrator for Direct payment. DPS will make an Http POST request to the URL SignInWithCredentials passing the username and password. DPS expects an authentication token to be returned to the viewer stores in native mode. This authentication token is what identifies the user for direct payment calls

  In the earlier version of DPS (classic), connection differs in two ways:

  1. DPS allows HTML to open a speed of connection of the freeform and similarly out of the application to get an authentication token
  2. DPS had a SDK API library whose application could explicitly define an authentication token after the opening of the flow of custom connection

  There is no equivalent for classical DPS SDK API in 2015 of DPS at this time. Although we plan in the future for additional capacity of connecting OAuth/Social.

• Language of the application

  Hello. Is there a place to define what language the application will be available? DPS classic, there are radio buttons which allowed me to make this selection. Now that I have a request for distribution approved in iTunes, it shows a number of languages, that we do not support in the description of the App Store.

  Hi Jeff,

  The only platform so that it is available is on Windows due to some quirks of their app store submission requirements. The viewers Android and iOS are produced with strings localized for all languages DPS 2015 media.

  The generator of folio and DPS classic is not supported in InDesign CC2015. You use InDesign CC2014 or an earlier version.

• Content Viewer app for iPad not connected?

  I checked all the boxes in this diagnosis, they do not apply. Connect first via the site Web, check, iPad, Safari, and Chrome Windows always get error authentication failed with information of the same logon from the content viewer application.

  Online help chat could only suggest that an Adobe server has problems. The DPS Portal is currently no problem with the web Content Viewer, not sure it's the same thing as the iPad app. Maybe that DPS people don't know about it yet, and they have left the building for a week on vacation.

  Here, anyone have any ideas? I'm not a Subscriber DPS, and the app does not seem to require that only an Adobe ID, that I created years ago and who still works through the web. I need content for iPad Viewer to examine the work of those who is subscribed to DPS.

  On a computer, connect to http://digitalpublishing.acrobat.com and follow the prompts to check your email account with DPS. Then you should be able to connect.

• HTMLResource enable folio does not work on iPad

  We are subscribed DPS professional.

  We have created a folio to activate HTMLResouce on the digitalpublishing site. The folio works perfectly on the Office Viewer but when I start to download on iPad it do not download on it. But it works perfectly on my Mac Adobe Content Viewer.

  The process that I follow.

  1. download the folio on the digitalpublishing site.

  2 Select a folio and open the DPS dashboard.

  3. in Folio producer Editor, click on the button import HTML resources .

  4. click on browse, select the file HTMLResources.zip.

  5. once it is transferred then preview the folio on Adobe Content Viewer.

  Note: I do the HTMLResource by opening the folder that contains the HTML resources, select the content and compress it into a .zip file. Which is mentioned in the help guide.

  Hey Bob-we ourselves find the solution. We just reduce the size of the images and it works fine. But here I have a question open is the file size is really an obstacle?
