• New window only opens a new window without worrying if I do a Ctrl-N or select it from the file menu.

• How can I get the file menu appears?

  I want to be able to have a file menu so that I can select the characters etc. directly from my main screen. One of the programs help says I have a upper left menu which is not displayed. I accidentally chose a program ASK that reset my features of Mozilla and I can't get back them. I deleted ASK, but it is always reset my appearance of Mozilla. I removed Mozilla and reinstalled nothing doesn't. I restored my computer to an earlier time.

  You see the tab bar and the main toolbar? Otherwise:

  • Firefox may be his view full screen. The F11 key toggles between normal display and full-screen.
  • Some pop-up windows will not display the tab bar and toolbar complete main (just the address section). Also these windows will not usually have the menu bar. You can start a new window using Ctrl + n.

• Thunderbird is boring (suddenly) slow and sometimes get error message about a javascript that stopped working.

  The error msg appears who says that a script has stopped working. Also means Chrome and Macafee have something to do with the accident. I removed McaFee, empty the cache, unsinstalled and reinstalled Thunderbird - suggestions from another thread. But nothing has solved my problem.

  Uninstall is often followed by a re install. Especially if it has not fixed the problem.

  Have you tried Thunderbird safe mode?... press and hold down SHIFT while the program starts

  Thanks for posting the details of your system. I'm skeptical about the "CompTool0234 Community Toolbar". Could you disable some add-ons and see if that helps.

  On this tab:

  Firefox orange (or the Tools menu) button > addons > Plugins category

  Disable «Conduit Plugin»

  On this tab:

  Firefox orange (or the Tools menu) button > addons > Extensions category

  Disable the CompTool0234 community toolbar.

  Then very probably a link will appear to restart Firefox to make the change. Does make a difference?
