• Forms to fill out and Distribution: to flatten author text but not the form fields

  OK people, first time posting on this forum, but certainly not my first time looking for answers!  I was quite managed with other issues if I think I myself stumped on this one.

  I created the form fillable 'generic' I'm going to use to distribute to various contacts for some upcoming projects that we will participate in.  Because each project will be different, instead of having to create a new form every time, I hope that with my base model form I can enter various information with the type writing tool and somehow to protect this information to be edit/delete while allowing my contacts to enter their information in the form fields.

  I tried to apply the different variants of security features, but the downside of this is that it does not "distribute" my form so that it can be track with Adobe Tracker.  The only way I can successfully distribute this form for the masses and track responses is if all the security settings of the document are disabled.

  I hope that this logic all how I explain it.  Because the information (not the form fields) on the document sent to the changes each week, I was hoping there would be one easier way other than creating a form to complete for each new.  I'm not an expert of Actions, but it would be possible to create an Action that would "flatten" the text of the type writer only?  That would at least prevent third parties to manipulate or remove information that I placed on the document.

  The typewriter tool creates a type of text box, so that you would select just this box to flatten.

  Play the 'e' (email?) to the old account first. You can drag and drop.

  To remove an account from Thunderbird:

  Tools | Account settings| < select the unwanted account > |

  Down at the bottom of the left pane, Account Actions , and then click remove account.

  Both accounts use POP? This could explain why new messages appear in the new account, but not the former.

  Out with the new v.31.1.0, the: 2 September 2014 version of Thunderbird, I can email is no longer a list of recipients, getting the error msg: F & G Committee < ' F & G Committee' > is not a valid e-mail address because it is not the form user@host. In earlier versions, the addresses of individual e-mail in the list (F & G Committee in this case) are automatically placed in as the e-mail is sent. Is there a solution to this problem?

• Impossible to recompile the application Summit in the form of 11g

  Hi gurus,

  I try to install the application of top in the 11g version. Try to recompile all the objects (.pll, .mmb, .fmb) but all not able to compile .fmb.

  Here are the steps I did:

  1 extract the app from top to c:\summit

  2. create the schema of Summit by running the script

  3. set the FORMS_PATH registry and windows variables env FORMS_PATH to c:\summit

  4 compile the .pll, the .fmb and the .mmb

  Appreciate any help.

  I just tested this in forms 11.1.2.2 (x 64) and it works properly.  I am able to open all the files.  That said, if you do not correctly set FORMS_PATH, you will get an FRM-18108 error that says it cannot locate a required library.  It is expected, because the shape has a dependency on an OLB and therefore it must be included in FORMS_PATH.

  So, that means one of a few things:

  1. you do not actually use the version of forms, you believe that you are using

  2. you have multiple installed versions of forms and the system path points to a very old version of the constructor

  3. the error message you get is not one that suggests the form cannot be opened, but rather the one I mentioned above

  4. the file you download is somehow corrupted.

  I have are a number of forms and I just want to print the Scriptures not on the form, the form will be in the printer to accept my data can I do this?

  Acrobat has a print border to print only the form fields.

  Player would require some work in Acrobat to make it work.

• Prints the text added, but NOT the form

  I have Mac OS Yosemite 10.10.1 and Acrobat Pro XI, vsn 11.0.09.

  Problem: I have added text to a PDF of platform. To print, I chose "Document and margins." BUT the only thing that prints the text added.

  Also tried printing 'Document', and again, the only thing that prints is the addition of text.

  How can I get the FORM AND the TEXT to be PRINTED?

  I have extracted the first page and tried to join, got the msg there was a 'problem' and that images may not exceed 8.5 MB. The page is 152 Kb.  Tried the x 3. So I opened in preview - and the document printed successfully. Problem solved.

• How can I change the text (not the form fields) in the forms of the documents I created in LiveCycle ES pre?

  I can't edit it in Adobe Acrobat X or DC (it gives me an error message saying that I need to edit in LiveCycle Designer), but when I try to use the new LiveCycle Designer ES4 the function of editing text appears in gray.

  You must make all editions of text on a form in Designer in the designer. It is therefore more a regular PDF, but rather an XML contained in the PDF structure. So you can change is no longer the text form in Acrobat.

  Have used the master lists for years without problem. After updating today, all I get is the error message above.

  I created a big form in Live Cycle Designer ES4. If I save the form in pdf format and open it in Acrobat Reader XI I get the message that I can't save the data entered in the form only print it. All I want to do is to put the form on our web site for people to download, fill out, save, and send it to me. I consider another method that is if I distribute the form and take the distributed pdf and save it locally, when it is open in the player you get the Send button on the purple bar on the right side. This will confuse many of our users, so if there's a way to not have the submit button so that work, but how do I stop the send on the purple bar button?

  You must activate the reader of the form. You can do this in Acrobat 11 open the form in Acrobat and select: file > save as other > Reader Extended PDF > activate tools more

  11 reader can save non-active AcroForms (created in Acrobat Forms), but not the forms enabled for the XFA (forms created in LiveCycle Designer).

• Why Thunderbird 38.1 suddenly treat the addresses of the list in the form of individual addresses, &amp; dismiss them because they are not in the form user@url?

  When you try to send a message to a group set up in my address book, I get an error message [group name < updated the group description >] is not an email address valid because it is not the form user@host. You need to correct before sending the e-mail message. Thunderbird has apparently taken the description section and tried to treat it as an email address. In doing so, it changes the description of and the original format [names, name2, name 3] (with the exception of the hooks) of [< name >, name2, "name 3" >].

  Zenos. thanks for the suggestion. Although he did not provide a direct solution, he pointed me a. Being reluctant to try to re-enter an address book with more than 1,000 entries, I saved the book and replaced by a backup copy of a computer when I heard the e-mail function worked as desired. I had the same problem.
  I tried to export the book to save what I could at least and ran into problems, I discovered since came from trying to export "all address books.
  Then, I opened a copy of AB. File MAB in Quattro Pro, where I noted PS split the description section of the list of mail problem in separate cells, from commas in this description. I went back to the address book, removed commas from the description, and my group e-mail went out as gently as might be desired.
  I would note that commas have been this likely description for 15 years or more and only now has caused a problem. I guess that's due to some changes in Thunderbird was last updated. Would be nice if we got warnings about this kind of change.
  Answer to my problem: remove the commas from the description in the properties of the list.

  One way around it is

  Select max(userid) from user

  to retrieve it, but I don't know if it's a good idea/practice.

  Change your page > change you the DTF process for the form > Enter you page back key point in the element (this returns the new pk value generated by this form)

• Security problems on the forms.

  I'm new and I need assistance.  I got the Adobe 9 program to allow me to create forms not only for our Web site, but for use internally for inter-office information and send to clients.  Any computer that does not have the Adobe 9 program that can pull up the forms, but there is a message at the top saying that they cannot save data typed into the form.  Would need to print the form and fax or in the scanner.  It is said that it will only send the data to the file, not the form itself with the information that they entered thereon.  I could go round and round looking for the answer but can't find it.  I was under the impression that anyone who has Adobe Reader would be able to use these forms in this way.  Your help would be greatly appreciated.  If I posted this in the wrong forum, I apologize.  I would like to know where to go.  (Be nice! )

  After you create the form, you must enable rights before that Reader users can save them.

  You can find this option in the menu "Advanced" in Acrobat.

• When I enter the name/email in web forms, the form is not 'read' or recognize my valid entered as name/email text.

  This has happened on several different sites in several different contexts. I enter information but then receive a "Please indicate your name and your email address" or "This is not a properly formatted e-mail address" message (based on whatever the form code provides some error messages for empty mandatory fields). I rechecked, of course, and the text has been entered correctly. This has happened once with AutoFill, last time I entered the text myself.

  Clear the cache and cookies from sites that cause problems.

  "Clear the Cache":

  • Firefox > Preferences > advanced > network > storage (Cache) offline: 'clear now '.

  'Delete Cookies' sites causing problems:

  • Firefox > Preferences > privacy > Cookies: "show the Cookies".

  Start Firefox in Firefox to solve the issues in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions of the origin of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > appearance/themes).

  Firefox will remember new form data when entered.

• PDF does not print the data entered in the form fillable

  I created an editable pdf that I want to use to fill out a form, save in their own car, change it again, then print it and send it in.

  I followed the instructions for the readers extended, activate additional features - and can see the data entered after registration on behalf of the new and once again. But I can not print the data. The form prints as a form empty with graphics and all - I see the data on the screen, but the form prints without the data. Help!  I use Acrobat X, Mac 10.1.14

  I print on this basis, Acrobat Reader and preview and print all blank with data on the screen.

  It could be that the fields are set on "Visible but does not print. Check the "form field:" drop-down list under the general tab of the dialog box properties field to see what it is defined. If it's not her, can you post a sample PDF file somewhere?
