Superimposition of specific images using Adobe Media Encoder

Basically, I just want to add a black screen at the end of my video. Is it possible to easily do this in Adobe Media Encoder without using other programs such as After Effects or Premiere Pro video production?

Hi Ox9pink,

Basically, I just want to add a black screen at the end of my video. Is it possible to easily do this in Adobe Media Encoder without using other programs such as After Effects or Premiere Pro video production?

Sorry, no. It would be a feature request: http://adobe.ly/feature_request

Yes, mp4 in HTML5 browsers is h.264 encoded - h.264 is a subset of the MPEG-4 standard. More info here:

H.264/MPEG-4 AVC - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

For ease of use in the SOUL, if you look to the right of the user interface in the presets, Web video > YouTube presets are those that will encode in h.264 with extension mp4 format.

  • Adobe Media Encoder does not start

No OP, but I have the same problem. SOUL just does not work. Double click it to load, I can see the process in Windows Task Manager, but he goes right again. Tried this .xml file shows the deletion, but does not. Here's my spec in the FAQ:

    • What version of Adobe Media Encoder? Include the minor version number (for example, Adobe Media Encoder CS6 with the 6.0.1 update).
      • SOUL CC from first cc 7.0.1
    • What other Adobe applications you have installed and what application are you using Adobe Media Encoder with?
      • Premiere Pro. Premiere Pro
    • You have installed the latest updates? (If not, you should. They fix a lot of problems).
      • Used the creative cloud to upgrade to the latest version
    • What operating system? This should include specific minor version numbers, like "Mac OS x 10.6.8" - not just "Mac".
      • Windows 7. All update patch installed.
    • Using Adobe Media Encoder via a subscription to creative cloud?
      • Yes
    • What type (s) of the source footage? When talk of your source footage, tell us about the codecs, not only the types of containers. For example, "H.264 in a .mov container,' not just 'QuickTime '.

For those who had the same problem and found this thread:

  • Where is the DeInterlace in Adobe Media Encoder CS4?

How is you video deinterlacing using Adobe Media Encoder CS4? In CS3, there are deinterlacing checkbox in the video output tab but there is not one in CS4?

I use 29.97 FPS 720 x 486 interlace SD images edit and export the final product Flash flv.

    Thank you!

    Joe

Deinterlacing is now automatically applied if the source and destination are different according to their order of the frames is concerned. In other words:

    • Source--> destination interlaced interlaced = no deinterlacing
    • Progressive source--> progressive destination = no deinterlacing
    • Source interlaced--> progressive destination = automatic deinterlacing

The order of the fields in the output setting option determines if deinterlacing is applied. Don't forget to check the 'Quality to make Maximum usage' option in the menu. It will take 4 to 5 times more time to make, but with better results.

  • Export Source 24 Bit WAV as float 32 bits before the conversion in Adobe Media Encoder?

    Hello

I am exporting movies from After Effects as .avi and I was wondering what I need to do to preserve my audio is close to the source as possible. My audio file of the source is 24 - bit / 48K. I use Adobe Media Encoder to encode audio/video like YouTube Widescreen HD but since After Effects doesn't offer 24-bit export, should I export as a 32-bit float? And is that going to change my audio somehow before moving to Adobe Media Encoder?

I've read about it on some different forums, but am still not not clear about this...

    Thank you

    Henry

Sorry, but you've made a fundamental mistake - a non-standard rate.  That's a no-no.  A big.  You will have to use a standard frame rate and come up with another way to get things to work.  You'll foolin' with frame rates.

  • Adobe Media Encoder - .wmv not export so much?

I use Adobe Media Encoder CS6 on a Windows 7 computer.  I visited on a Windows Media (.wmv) format, but it is not found in one of the presets or from the format dropdown.  Only F4V, FLV, H.264, H.264 (inheritance) and MP3 are available.

I can't find any information indicating that I need to install additional codecs, but I think that's the problem.

Or maybe it's the version of Creative Suite that does not allow for some file formats?

    Anyone?

    Thank you.

    Hi thanser,

Adobe Media Encoder has all codecs QuickTime, WMV and others if you have any video application like, Premiere Pro, After Effects or SpeedGrade installed because these are royalty bearing codecs and can be turned on if you have video applications installed and activated with the respective serial. If you have the license for Indesign, Illustrator or Photoshop you might not get these codecs. For example, video applications are provided with the suite Master Collection or Production Premium suite and if you have any what further action you can only use the video as a 30 day trial and get these codecs for a limited time.

    Kind regards

    Vinay

  • Adobe Media Encoder CC: Is that I can export to Apple ProRes 422 on a Mac?

    Hi people,

I tried to find some information about it, but couldn't really find a definitive answer on this.

Unfortunately, my Mac is set where we are talking, I can't try this either...

I want to convert the mxf files (XDCAM HD 422 1080i 50, 50 Mbit/s with multiple Audio channels) to Apple ProRes 422 using Adobe Media Encoder CC.

Simple question: is that possible or I need to look for another workflow/converter?

    Thanks for your help!

    Jens

    PS: The OS is Mavericks...

    Sure.

Use the QuickTime exporter, and then choose the ProRes422 Codec in its drop-down list.

  • Adobe Media Encoder Cup video when layer effect of Ultra masking is applied

I work on a Mac (10.8.5) using the latest version of first Pro CC. I use the Ultra key to remove the bottom keys of saturation of the layer of "talent" and adding a new "background layer" behind the video layer of talent. When I export directly from first, the sequence of exports as expected. However, I have several sequences and wants to speed up the process using Adobe Media Encoder. When I export the same sequence using Adobe Media Encoder, half top of the layer of "talent" is completely cut off:

    Screen Shot 2014-02-03 at 3.21.33 PM.png

The question has something to do with the Ultra key effect because when I remove the effect of the layer of "talents" exports in tact (with a key background chroma, of course). Adobe Media Encoder CC is up-to-date are there the known bugs with Media Encoder CC and the Ultra masking effect in Premiere Pro?

    Thank you!

This correction was originally for a sound but as well show the try for this.

  • Help! Adobe Media Encoder has disappeared from my creative cloud

    2 questions.

#1. Has been using Adobe Media Encoder (part of my creative cloud subscription)... He said that I needed to activate all of a sudden... Yes (am on a mac) dragged into the trash and went to re adobe application Manager - install, all of a sudden, it isn't here. So go online https://creative.adobe.com/apps to download it. it isn't here either! What should I do?

#2. ADOBE SUCKS YOUR SUPPORT ONLINE. I contacted these people to chat online in India 3 times and each time they me disconnected or he messed up. WTF. seriously. You have officially fallen in terms of reputation with me.

    Help, please.

In accordance with the issue of support, I'll deal with some Adobe Exec separately for that.

    Thank you

Why trash your application?  Drag the apps into the trash is not enable, disable or uninstall the software.

Media Encoder isn't a separate software download.  As the bridge, it is bundled with other software like Flash Pro, the premier, After Effects...

  • Adobe Media Encoder Export Settings window size problem

Any help on this would be appreciated: I use a MacBook pro, osx 10.6, CS4 Web Premium. I used to have a connected external monitor, which had a much higher resolution, so when you use Adobe Media Encoder I have to click the button settings on a video to get the export settings window, then stretched from the window of export settings for the size of my external screen. Now, I use my laptop computer, and export settings window does not resize top buttons left to adjust it to the size of my laptop and the low third export settings window get cut so I do not see the ok/Cancel buttons etc.

I tried re-installing media encoder (via reinstalled flash using CDs) to try to 'reset' the window sizes, does not solve the problem.

If anyone knows of any other preferences or something that I could remove to solve this problem, I can be grateful.

Yes, I received the same answer. This means that adobe don't use OS native windows (shame on them!). I just tried something with CS4 that worked, however. Try this:

    Stop Media encode

Go to UserHomeDirectory > library > Preferences > Adobe > Adobe Media Encoder 4.0 > and delete the file called "AMEPrefs.xml" and "AppPrefs.xml".

Then restart Media Encoder. For me, this reset the window size and placement. I tried to move the window of export settings down to half of it was above the bottom of the screen. Once I deleted those files and rebooted, the window was smaller and repositioned.

If this does not work, try to download the demo of this product:

    http://irradiatedsoftware.com/sizeup/

It is said that Adobe programs are programs of "disorder", they won't probably resize, but they should at least move. If nothing else, maybe you can move the window value is negative (upwards) so that the resize handle is visible, then move it down so that the header bar is visible again...

  • The installed Adobe Media Encoder product has not been activated.

My Adobe Media Encoder CS4 worked perfectly.

I exported even a video one morning and afternoon, he refused and gave me the following message:

"Thank you for using Adobe Media Encoder CS4.". The installed Adobe Media Encoder product has not been activated.

Please launch and activate this Adobe product before continuing to use Media Encoder"

I reinstalled a couple of times, but nothing has changed.

I uninstalled and installed CS5, it launched once and then gave me the same message all over again.

I even tried to install it on another computer and it gives me the same result.

I have worked on this video more a month, and I can not export it.

Can anyone help? I have a deadline to meet

    Thank you very much

    Go to:

    C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Media encode CS6

    remove the amtlib.dll

    Reach:

    C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Premiere Pro CS6

    amtlib.dll copy from there to:

    C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Media encode CS6

If you are using 32-bit versions or earlier version CS6 then choose the correct folders for your case.

  • Adobe Media Encoder not using GPU at all for H.264 encoding

So I have a strange problem, it seems SOUL refuses to use the GPU for transcoding - I have a minute 9 4 k file I need to transcode and it takes more than an hour on a very fast machine. I tried other formats and files of that specific file and nothing does the GPU at all (using GPU - Z to monitor the load). Specifically trying to get DNxHR or DNxHD files in H.264 VBR 2 pass codec

    Machine: hex 3960K core i7 core cpu - GPU installed: ti 980 GTX / GTX 1080 - 64 GB RAM Win 10 64 pro

-First pro uses the GPU (actually 1080) for CUDA acceleration video

-J' tried to disable 1080 GTX in Nvidia with SOUL Panel (setting preference CUDA at 980ti, as I know, pascal is perhaps not compatible yet)

-J' original CC, no luck tried versions of SOUL

-J' tried transcoding other types of files in the case where this was a problem of specific file (animation, cineform, etc.) no luck

My gut tells me it's maybe a CUDA or OpenCL / OpenGL / DLL problem.

I had CUDA installed 8.0 for use with Octane render, but uninstalled and it makes no difference

maybe try a CUDA 7.0 installation? that would help? Any other suggestions?

    Hello tstopdigital420,

Is the GTX 980ti supported for H.264 encoding in Adobe Media Encoder or not? I thought I had read that it was, but maybe I'm wrong. IF not I'll talk accordingly.

Parenthesis - anyone knows of other software that supports rendering GPU accelerated by CUDA h.264?

I think you're under the false impression that the GPU speeds up encoding H.264 exports. It does not, but is a feature that is often requested.

Encoding is a process that focuses on the CPU in Premiere Pro and Adobe Media Encoder. The GPU accelerates certain elements in the entire export process, but not the encoding itself.

The GPU will accelerate what follows in the export process: scaling, conversion of the image, blending modes, deinterlacing and color space conversion. The GPU will also speed up the processing of GPU based video effects, including the effect of color Lumetri.

    Example:

    • If you are encoding a file of 4K in a file of HEVC H.265 4 K, the GPU acceleration is not involved in the export process because no scaling has been used.
    • If you are encoding a file of 4K in a file, H.264 HD, GPU acceleration is involved in the export process, because the scale was necessary.

If your GPU is disabled or "grayed out" and he has capable specifications, then this is another problem of troubleshooting.

    Thank you
    Kevin

  • Adobe Media Encoder CC won't let me import a specific sequence of Premiere Pro

I'm on a trial version of Adobe Media Encoder CC. I try to import a Premiere Pro sequence (I have an old version 2.0) and it won't let me choose a specific sequence within the project, it will let me only import the first sequence. The dialog box sequence which is supposed to open when I select 'Import first Pro Sequence' under 'File' does not, let me only to select a project and will then automatically import the first sequence for this project. The box in the preferences for "Import sequences of natively" under Premiere Pro is grayed out and I can't seem to change, which is what I apparently have to do to activate dynamic links. However, I think that it is possible that either the trial version doesn't let me do, or my first version is just too old and there is a mismatch.

You must have a newer version of Premiere Pro to use dynamic linking.  The versions of Premiere Pro and SOUL should be of the same generation.
