  I got my new computer with Windows7 installed two weeks ago.  My problem is that all of a sudden I can access is no longer the contents of all folders.  If I double click on the "computer" folder or the folder "Drive C" or anything else, I don't see anything; without opening the file appears on the screen.  However, if I look in the Task Manager, the folder I tried to open is displayed as "running."  But the folder does not appear on the screen.  It seems so that Windows Explorer is running, but does not properly.  This problem only occurs under my log-in user (which is a user of the administrator).  There are 4 other users 'Standard' on the computer and the problem does not occur on their desktop computers.

  The last thing I did before this problem started to happen was to go to start-> games and I tried briefly one of the games 'free trial '. Of course, I do know for sure that the game is what has caused the problem, but it was the last thing I did before I noticed the problem.  Previously, the files opened normally.

  You run any virus protection software?  If this isn't the case, I recommend Microsoft Security Essentials.  It is light, goes fast and is free from Microsoft.

  If you are not infected, a possible step could be to try to use system restore to roll back to a time before the problem began.  Click Start, type 'Restore' and then select the system restore.  Choose a date before you had problems and follow the instructions.

  I assume you are using Windows 32-bit OS, if yes, then After effects and Premiere Pro are not compatible with it. You would need an OS 64-bit in order to work with these applications.

  You check information for the OS by right click on the computer icon work > properties and bit info will be there.

• the shortcut for the external drive icons do not appear on the desktop

  Running Windows 7 Home Premium.  None of the shortcut icons of the program (on my external hard drive) appear on the desktop.  Default icons took their place and launch the correct programs when you click it.  I tried to change individual icons in the correct program ones, but that they would not.  They all used to be there!

  I tried to reboot several times but that has not changed anything.

  The only program added or deleated recently was free archiver B1.  I uninstalled immediately after installing and do not actually use it.

  How to bring back the icons.

  Hello Bill,

  Two possibilities come to mind. The first is that the program of the archiver to change icons, in which case you will need to reinstall the program, understand how the icons have been changed, reverse the process and then uninstall the program again.   If the disc itself is not recognized by Windows, try this trick. Download and install the freeware Aomei Partition Assistant application, download it from here http://download.cnet.com/AOMEI-Partition-Assistant-Standard-Edition/3000-18512_4-75118871.html?tag=mncol;1 - use the link Direct download only. Then once its installed, select the external hard drive, then select Properties. That's it, just by selecting the drive and choosing properties are sufficient to get Windows to recognize the drive.

  Now that the drive is recognized by Windows, has the problem of the icon "disappeared"? If the answer is still no, then I think you need to look at the program archive as a real possibility. The only way to know of course is to install the program again and look for a setting (try Configuration) where the program changes the icons of the programs.

• Images do not appear in the preview pane in Windows Explorer under certain conditions

  I use Win 7 Prof - under Display Options in Windows Explorer, I have pictures (not "icons"). The pane is open.

  If I open a folder in Windows Explorer by double clicking the folder icon on the desktop, the preview pane works very well, showing the content of the image.  However if I navigate to a folder by using the folder tree pane in the Explorer Win itself, the preview pane does not display the pictures when you click on the image file.

  However, this problem occurs only for photos, as there is no problem of visualization of the contents of other files, such as Word, Excel, PDF, etc.

  Thanks for your advice. However, as a result of someone of another tip, I restarted in safe mode, and then again in Normal mode and the problem disappeared.

  I worked in Indesign cc 2014 with no problems. Customer just sent me a 2015 file I need to open as soon as POSSIBLE. the 2014 conversion failed. So I thank you. decieded to download the 2015 version, to open and save as idml. But when I go to my application (at the top of the desktop mac) cloud 2015 does not appear. I know it's the last file, but it didn't not shoe upwards under the more recent files. I'm on mac 10.8. What is the question?

• Gallery Web Images do not appear on the Web

  I am very new to Lightroom, but have been using Dreamweaver and Photoshop for quite a while now. I took about 10 pictures that I wanted to be on a test web gallery, brought into Lightroom as their own collection, all selected and went to the Web tab at the top, Gallery HTML is selected by default and I left everything to failure, just to see if I could make it work. I then went to export, and it export to a folder named "Gallery" on my desktop. I then went in the 'Gallery' folder on my desktop, and inside, it was a file called "index.html". I opened it, and the Gallery loaded perfectly with all images showing.

  Then, I selected the folder of the gallery and open my FTP client and downloaded the entire folder on my web server, whose domain is, say, test.com. I then went to test.com/gallery and the Gallery loaded but without any images. The contours of the cells are very well, the default text is coming, but in each of the cells where the image should be, there is a small missing icon of the image in the upper left. It's the same in all browsers and I tried to use the different types of galleries (Flash, etc) but they all have the same type of problem. The Gallery flash specifically just says "Loading" and hangs there, even if when running out of my office, it works very well.

  In addition, I tried to configure upload integrated FTP in Lightroom to download directly instead of export and then download, but which had the same results.
