  Seems that the reader is always present in your system. Its not completely uninstalled.

  Try to directly remove the application from the Applications folder, which is just trash/Applications/Adobe Reader.app.

  Also, this can cause a break in the features of Safari to read PDF files using Adobe Reader plugin. To resolve this problem, go into/Library/Internet Plug - Ins / and remove AdobePDFViewer.plugin and AdobePDFViewerNPAPI.plugin

  If students only CS6, you do all your work in CS6 and not the newer versions that are included in the subscription of the CC.

  I was able to contact a technical support person and they tried to open the file in the newer version, however, they also said that the file is corrupted. Fortunately I sent me an e-mail that day from the PSD. I had to download from my e-mail address and opened it right. Not to self: save files in multiple locations, and sending the e-mail to yourself has been a lifesaver!

  If you had standard CS6 and want to continue to use the CS6 you may need to uninstall CS6 Standard and install the Cloud CS6 version which is long and different then the perpetual version of CS6 extended version 13.1.2 where perpetual versions are Mac version 13.0.6 and version 13.0.1.3 PC.  Your machine must also meet the requirements have a taken GPU support with at least 512 MB of Vram.

  You can certainly go back to the version of CS6. Just uninstall the current version (only not trashy) and launch the Desktop application. From the menu filters, select Archive or previous Version and you will get the option to install CS6 there...

After discussing with a couple of employees of Adobe, I was told that if I uninstall first Pro CC and the cloud App, I would then give the option to install the first CS6 version which includes still. I was told that if I clicked on the icon of the first, I would have to choose between CC and CS6. I followed their instructions but cannot download from the site - nothing happens at all - and the Cloud app gives me the option to download first Pro CC.

  No need to uninstall first CC. Just download Premiere Pro CS6, and you will get more CS6.
