SWF file is read slow Internet

I created a second animation ion 5 Adobe After Effects CS5 - exported a swf file which is 50 MB.

I have inserted it on a dreamvweaver cs5 html page. Running locally is good, but slow on the internet.

If a SWF 5 sec should be this big? -

All I can do for this speed on a Web page? or reduce the size of the file in the aftermath - I asked this on Dreamweaver, as I am with Dreamveaver CS5

Thank you

Chris Anderson

SWF files exported from AE products embeded JPG sequences of data rasterized, where size. You can choose to ignore unsupported features or travel to a FLV file to obtain more acceptable file sizes.

  • Order full screen doesn't work when a swf file is read on another frame.

    I have a .exe file that has about 90 frames. All executives work very well with the command "full screen", BUT when I click on a button to access a framework which calls a swf file to a specific position on the stage and a specific size to full screen, the swf goes to the size of the regular phase. AND when I get out of this framework, it is not back to expand full screen Command.

    Flash CS AS3 WIN 7 64-bit 5.5.

    I have other frames that play a (movie) swf file to a certain size and position, and they work fine. But is not a swf file. I created all the files except the swf file. I received from someone about 7 years if there is what makes the difference.

    Any ideas?

    If you have configured your main as document:

    import flash.display.StageDisplayState;

    import flash.display.StageScaleMode;

    import flash.display.StageAlign;

    stage.scaleMode = StageScaleMode.NO_SCALE;

    internship. Align = StageAlign.TOP_LEFT;

    stage.displayState = StageDisplayState.FULL_SCREEN;

    My first assumption would be, because you said it's been 7 years, this person is using ActionScript 2.0. If you load an AS2.0 doc in a doc AS3.0 who will have limited functionality.

    Try to replace the 7 year old SWF you load quickly with a mannequin made AS3.0 placeholder and see if the problem goes away. Chances are it.

  • Y at - it a codec that will allow swf files to play in WMP?

    original title: reading of SWFs in Windows Media Player

    Y at - it a codec that will allow swf files to play in WMP?

    When you try to play your local .swf files in Windows Media Player, you probably will be greeted with a message saying that your Internet Explorer security settings do not allow this type of file to open (ActiveX control). This is due to the fact that Windows Media Player uses its own security Internet Explorer security settings. Therefore, these .swf files will play in Internet Explorer; the reason being that the Protected Mode is DISABLED when a local disk file is opened. But Windows Media Player makes no such concession, all ActiveX controls are not allowed.

    The problem arises in the Lockdown of the area feature Local computer. Windows Media Player must load the control of Flash Player to play the SWF file. But this lock prevents the automatic loading of the Flash Player control (remember, all orders are considered dangerous in WMP)!

    However, do not despair. This problem can be easily solved by a simple change in the registry. There are two ways you could do it - choose the one that you feel most comfortable with.

    Method 1 - automatic registry change (use if you have never used before registry editor):
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Open a new Notepad document. Copy and paste the following two lines of text to the blank document...

    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\Lockdown_Zones\0]
    "1200" = DWORD: 00000000

    Save the document as "wmp_swf.reg" (the .reg extension sets the file as a registration entry). Save it in a directory of your choice. This could be the office or in your Documents folder. Close the Notepad window.

    Now, navigate to the file to the location where you saved it just. Right-click on the file and choose "Merge" in the menu. Windows may ask permission to continue, click 'Continue' or 'OK '. That's all! Windows Media Player will now play all your local .swf files without complaining.

    Method 2 - manual registry editing (for the more experienced users of the registry editor):
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Open the Registry Editor (IE run "regedit.exe" and give Windows permission to continue).

    Browse your way to the next folder...

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\Lockdown_Zones\0

    In this folder '0' (zero), look for the entry "1200 REG_DWORD 0 x 00000003 (3)" in the display pane.

    Right-click on the '1200' and choose 'change... '. ». Change the value to highlight '3' to '0 '. Press OK. The entry is now shown as "1200 REG_DWORD 0x00000000 (0)» Close the registry editor.

    This simple procedure to now Windows Media Player read the local .swf files.

    Now you have finished this fix, it may be useful to change the opening program by default for your .swf to Windows Media Player files. I find it more convenient than playing them through Internet Explorer.

    OK, so I think that you will have the standalone projector if you want to be able to open the swf file by double clicking.  Just install Flash Player allows you to get the plugin/active x control, but they will not be useful unless you look at sovereign wealth funds in a web browser.

    I think that the video was not properly encoded.  What are the size, framerate, etc. ?  Basically more details you can give the file the better.

    Is this a movie or interactive?  What format is the original file, size, etc. ?

  • I can't run swf files in dreamweaver cs6, fine on the page, they can't be read.

    I created a Flash animation .swf file and inserted on a new Web page. When I go to see live, it is empty. When I view in the Internet Explorer browser, I get a message that I need a more recent version of Adobe Flash player, which is not the case, same go through the installation process does not help. When the downloaded, it does not appear on the Web page. Dreamweaver is in the version of CS6 on a 64-bit Windows 7 system. The animation file works well when you look at the original folder, but does not funciton (white screen) when opened in the copied file, Dreamweaver puts in the site folder. Can anyone offer any suggestions? Also, is there a way to close a .flv file? This could be a workaround if I can't solve the problem of .swf.

    Thank you in advance for any help you can offer.

  • Warning of safety running a SWF file on a computer when you access the internet

    I want to distribute a SWF file to run on computers, not the internet.  However, I want to be able to access the internet through a link that is controlled by a button.  This used to work, now I get a security warning telling me that I need to change the settings on my computer.  For obvious reasons, I don't want anyone running the SWF to have to do that!

    Under Windows, I can create an EXE file that does not have security WARNING, but on the Mac which won't help.  Any suggestions?

  • "the db file sequential read" waiting for event slow down an application.

    "the db file sequential read" waiting for event slow down an application.

    It is a rather strange problem. There is an update statement that hangs on the wait event 'db file sequential read' and until you restart the database, the query works fine. It happens once a week, usually Monday or after several days of large amount of work.

    I checked the processor and is fine, memory is very good, although the SGA and PGA have taken maximum memory. Flow of the disc seems to be ok since each another session on the basis of data looks very good.

    I guess that there is a missing configuration to avoid having to restart the database each week.

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    and for small tables, you can try adding for example FULL (your) FULL (wsr)

    It can be rewritten in a different way, but it's the fastest way to try how query will be if you rewrite it. Check the explain plan command if certain partially ordered tables are not joined because you can get the Cartesian join, it seems that it will be ok.

    View query result in the em console.

  • using asfunction to read swf file?

    Hello
    I have a link in a dynamic text box and when I click it, I want to play a swf file, in a clip. Is this possible? When I click on the text 'Show the file theSWF', it opens a new window with nothing on it. I want to play the SWF file in the same window in the "redbox_mc" movieclip, I placed on the floor above the dynamic text box.

    Thank you

    Its OK got it to work. should have used the following code for the function:
    dyn_txt.htmlText = "display the SWF file ;

  • How to have a swf file to play outside video?

    Hello! I would like to upload a SWF to google reader or something similar and have it call a video outdoors during playback (that way the video doesn't have to be in FLV format, and I can just distribute a private link to view the SWF on Google Reader). The SWF works fine on my computer, but I can't understand the steps necessary to transfer the thing to the internet. I Park video in Google Reader, alongside the swf, or video must be a kind of streaming service? I should mention that I have experimented with the conversion of video to FLV format and quality losses makes me cringe. Concern is also on the audio sync. I tried to convert the video into a sequence of images in After Effects and distribute just the pictures keys in Flash CC, but the resulting images of 5000 are unwieldy and prompt my beginning of computer curse me. If all goes well, there is a simple solution to all this, but at this point so complicated is that there have been, I will take pleasure that too. In case it is important, the video coming from a few scenes in 3D, which were then brought together in After Effects, and Flash is used to add minimal interactivity. If I need to provide more information or clarify anything, let me know.

    Yes seek (#) works in a few seconds, and you can use fractions as seek (20.5).

    To ensure that the video button appears only when you want, the buffer is an easy way to know.

    Set the size of the buffer on the NetStream with bufferTime:

    http://help.Adobe.com/en_US/FlashPlatform/reference/ActionScript/3/Flash/NET/NetStream.htm l #bufferTime

    so:

    ns.bufferTime = 10; buffer 10 seconds of video

    The default value is 0.1 (or virtually no buffer).

    Here's a caveat. During playback progressive (not in streaming-server), any time that a person seeking a new position in the video, if the video has not downloaded the number of seconds that you specify in the buffer beyond where they're looking, this event occurs again to let you know the buffer filled again. You do not want your game key accidentally show new so for your homework, you should develop a plan so that you know if the play button should appear only once at the beginning or whenever the buffer is full. A second clue is that if the connection of users is slow a buffer could escape, forcing him to fill to the top, pull out of the buffer full event again.

    You'll want to a listener on the type NetStream NetStatusEvent object, listening "NetStream.Buffer.Full", indicating that he has your desired amount of video in your current position of playback buffer to begin reading.

    http://help.Adobe.com/en_US/FlashPlatform/reference/ActionScript/3/Flash/events/NetStatusE vent.html

    You should be listening to the NetStatusEvent NetStreams for a variety of codes, you can find I n the link above as well (play, stop, etc.).

    An example of a listener:

    ns.addEventListener (NetStatusEvent.NET_STATUS, nsHandler);

    function nsHandler(event:NetStatusEvent):void

    {

    If (event.info.code is "NetStream.Buffer.Full")

    {

    view the 'play' button

    }

    }

  • The path to nowhere - help! SWF files shows no not in the browser

    read through all the news on paths etc.

    You can simplify this entry below adninjastrator on the seven of 19 2011 adobe forums? ........

    "Always looks like a problem of path for me. For review:

    Path problems

    Almost always, when it works on the local computer and not by the server, it's a path problem.
    You can put your related Flash files into whatever the desired files, they don't have to be at the root, they are NOT all in the same folder. But if you have a problem and their stick it all in the works of root folder, and then, you know that the question was a path problem.
    Remember that used paths in the .swf is compared to the Web page on which is placed the .swf, NOT it's physical location.  Thus, for example, that if your .swf is located in the flash/data folder and you use .swf on a Web page in the root folder, you are in effect, remove this data/flash .swf and put them in the root. So if the .swf is responsible for all associated files (xml, images, video, etc.), the path used inside the .swf to load the .xml file must be compared to its new location in the root and then go back to flash/data. This is true even if when you test the .swf by itself, it can be inside the flash/data and work very well, as compared to its location, the path is very good, they are in the same folder. But if this same path is used when the .swf is placed on a folder page level two upward, the relative path has changed, the old "same folder" path will not work.

    In fact if you place the .swf on a web page in a different folder as the .swf is stored in, and that .swf called foreign assets, then heading by clicking on and open the .swf in his file should NOT work! This is because the paths to the external assets must be relative to the Web page and not the physical location of the .swf.
    So just remember that you use an address from the last Web page (file not physical locations) and you can put related Flash files in folders what ever you want.

    If it works on the server but not on the spot, may be a local computer security problem. Sometimes there are problems of security on the local computer during the trial of all the Flash files that include any code that tries to establish an Internet connection, (even if it's to get the logo .gif Adobe used in the code "Download the latest version here").

    IE displays a bar of permission to Active X you need to 'allow '.

    But first of all, is it a problem or issue of DreamWeaver or a browser problem/questions? I mean when you "Preview", is that actaully in a browser?... so it does not appear in Web browsers you are testing in but don't see in DW?

    So I can't exactly tell what your particular problem, but my guess is that this is a security issue or there is something else that you missed and did not mention that is causing problems.

  • Shorten the length of the blade according to the State of an inserted SWF file

    My question may be advanced.  I am using Captivate 4 for this project.

    I am trying to create a manual online that describes a technical system.

    I created multiple SWF files for the various components and inserted them into a master project of Captivate.  I use the table of contents in the main project to provide navigation components.

    My problem is that the SWF file to show the various components have a visible bar of 'control'.  Since it is an event (without audio) we slowed down (some say too slow) for slow readers.  But given the control bar allows readers 'faster' the ability to speed upward and etc.

    My question, so if a user it accelerates and reaches the end of the file SWF slide continues until the 'period' is over.  For example, I have an embedded SWF which is 66 seconds long, the blade must be 66 seconds long to allow it to play fully.  I tried to adjust various settings and the settings of the imported video, but no matter what the video should be 66 seconds before I can do anything with the slide that hosts it.

    Any ideas?  I do not control the imported SWF file (which is actually a published Captivate project) and I do not master the file SWF Captivate "accommodation".

    Main reason for which is "broken apart", is can I outsource the various resources so I individual file charges "on-demand" and does not have a massive SWF file.

    Before asking, I thought using the Aggregater, but it does not work in Internet Explorer (HTM file) and will not cross the Preloader and my audience does not flash drives as I do.

    Hi Ziqiel, hope I will find the solution.

    I use the same technique as you Captivate 3. I insert the SWF on a main project. So, I insert a clickable area with options to "Stop the project until user click ' and 'no action '. You place this box anywhere on your slide where the swf file. It shut down the main project, but your swf will continue to play until the user clicks a button to continue.

    It is clear to you? And is it useful?

  • Size of the SWF file and Rollover text problem

    Hello and thanks in advance for any input.

    Two problems...

    1. size of the SWF file

    I did a small enough (at least in my eyes its small) flash site. However, when even it is really not much content, the swf file is already 2.4 mb and I have yet to finish. It loads fine on my internet speed, but im worried general users with slower internet connection. Y at - it something that I should get the size of the file (if all goes well without comprimising quality).

    2 text buttons (video Clips)

    Function rollover (event listener) for MCs containing the text continues to run when the mouse is over the button. That is he is not treating the text as a button box, his processor only as a button, while you ride between a letter and another, the reversal is re - define and restarts.

    The Swf file is here.

    And the FLA is here. * Edit *-how can I get this fla to you guys? This doesn't seem to work when I try to download the file - it gives just a fla.txt file?

    Thank you.

    Zack.

    Click with the right button on the bitmap images in the library, select "Properties".

  • How to load images side when the swf file is hosted on a server without uplaoding it to the server?

    I am trying to build an online image resizing tool.
    problem I encounter are:

    1. create a button that allows the user to browse the file. Once the file is selected, it only shows the full path.
    2 lets say if she shows fullpath, but I try to load it into a movieclip, and this does not work because the swf file is located on the server and put the client.
    3. as far as I know, flash can only load the images located in the same server or internet.
    4. If I use php, asp, cgi... It can only make me 1 upload the image then resize later, but this is not wat I want.
    5. I need to 1 resize then download later, because if I have 100 and more photos taken of the digital camera, it's going to be very slow and cumbersome.

    What I tried:
    1. download 'image3.jpg' in the same directory as the "viewer.swf", and it works.
    2. not to upload the swf file to the server, but locally managed from the user's computer and open 'image3.jpg' and it works.
    3 upload the swf file to the server and open "image3.jpg" of the user's computer and the IT DOESN 'T WORK!

    Please help me.

    Thank you ~!
